SHIP: Celebrity Reflection

CABIN #: 1548

DECK #: 11

CLASS: Aqua Class, AQ2

AREA: near forward elevators

BED NEAR: Balcony

QUIET?: Very quiet, no sounds from neighbors or pair door, hallway, elevator or on balcony. On Reflection this cabin is Located under last cabin before the deck above is the gym, but that "motion" room rarely used anyway.

BALCONY VIEW: Unobstructed at sides and no overhang.

BALCONY SIZE: Normal

WIND A PROBLEM?: No, protected when the vessel is moving.

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Located on a quiet hallway with the Relaxation Room at front. First time stayed in the forward section of AQ rather than aft section under cabins. Good to be closer to Relaxation Room and Persian Garden, which we used often and was never crowded. Aft rooms are nearer to stairs to buffet and elevators to Blu, so either end of this deck have advantages as long as under another cabin for quiet above.

SHIP: Celebrity Reflection

CABIN #: 1552

DECK #: 11

CLASS: Aqua Class, A1

AREA: near forward elevators - starboard

BED NEAR: Balcony

QUIET?: Yes

BALCONY VIEW: Unobstructed, but Celebrity's web site lists it as partially obstructed-not sure why

BALCONY SIZE: Extra large since it is the first cabin where the ship starts to indent.

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: I want this cabin every time. Loved the large balcony. My travelling companion has a fear of heights and often can't use the balcony on a ship. He was fine with this one since the depth allowed him to sit further from the rail.

SHIP: Reflection

CABIN #: 9241

DECK #: 9

CLASS:C2

AREA:Port, aft side of the hump

BED NEAR: Door and bathroom

QUIET?: Very!

BALCONY VIEW: Good to see where we had been, but not for where we were going! LOL

BALCONY SIZE: Very big, more than enought room for 4 of us to enjoy.

WIND A PROBLEM?:No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: We really like being close to the rear elevators and stairs. Bring the storage cube's for the area over the bed, they make things so much easier to put away and get out.

SHIP: Equinox

CABIN #: 8199

DECK #: 8

CLASS: 1A

AREA: Forward of port side hump

BED NEAR: Balcony

QUIET?: Yes, very.

BALCONY VIEW: Forward and aft due to configuration of balcony which was almost a triangle

BALCONY SIZE: oversized but not as big as cabin 9197 next door

WIND A PROBLEM?: no

SOOT A PROBLEM?: no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: We loved this cabin and I preferred the bed near the balcony having had it by the bath on 3 previous S-class cruises. It was much easier to access the closet and it was nice to see the view from the bed. Also, the cabin seemed much larger

SHIP: Equinox

CABIN #: 9241

DECK #: 9

CLASS: C2

AREA: 3rd cabin aft side of hump, port side

BED NEAR: Bath

QUIET?: Very quiet

BALCONY VIEW: Good view aft; looking forward you can only see the back side of the hump.

BALCONY SIZE: VERY large, room for table, 2 reclining chairs and footrests plus a ton of open space

WIND A PROBLEM?:No

SOOT A PROBLEM?:No

Comments: Far enough from elevators/stairs to be very quiet; no service closets nearby. But close enough to stairs to be convenient. One night a large group of smokers congregating outside on deck 5 was noisy and we could smell the smoke, but only because A) there was no wind and very calm seas - unusual - and B) they were inconsiderate morons. Never a noise or smoke issue the other 9 days/nights. We loved this cabin and booked it again for next year.

WIND A PROBLEM?: No.

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No, but you can see smoke from the chimneys all time. Hope wind helps.

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: A good walk from elevators, but it was not a problem for us. The room could be connect to the neighbor if it is needed.

SHIP: Solstice

CABIN #: 1120

DECK #: 10

CLASS: C2

AREA: Midship, portside - 1st off the hump to the rear

BED NEAR: Balcony

QUIET?: Yes

BALCONY VIEW: Straight out and aft unrestricted. To look forward, you need to stand at the railing at the far left of the balcony and lean out.

BALCONY SIZE: Probably about 3 times the size of a standard balcony. Table, 2 chairs with foot-stools looked almost lost.

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Very convenient close to elevators. Loved the large balcony and being able to look straight down to the water.

SHIP: Reflection

CABIN #: 6231

DECK #: 6

CLASS: 2C

AREA: Mid Ship is right above Bistro on 5 ($5 pay restaurant) so sometimes would see people on deck below, but it was very quiet. This was a great location for easy access to most areas of the ship. Don't worry about elevator noise, there is a wall in between that blocks out all noise.

BED NEAR: is bear balcony (couch is beside bath)

QUIET?: yes

BALCONY VIEW: Uobstructed

BALCONY SIZE: normal size

WIND A PROBLEM?: no, it seemed pretty protected from wind, even on days that we left deck 14/15 due to wind.

SOOT A PROBLEM?: no, not at all

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: the bathroom smelled faintly of mildew for most of the cruise, although it looked very clean. (i used airfresher and we were fine).

SHIP: Reflection

CABIN #: 1524

DECK #: 11

CLASS: AQ2 Accessible

AREA: Starboard Forward. Very convenient to the back staircase leading to the Persian Gardens.

BED NEAR: Right in the center of the room

QUIET?: Mostly quiet, but there was occasional (loud) noise from the Motion Room/gym area above.

BALCONY VIEW: Unobstructed

BALCONY SIZE: Regular depth but extra wide due to width of accessible room.

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: AQ accessible rooms do not have the jetted shower panel in the bathroom, just a handheld showerhead along with the regular fixed showerhead.

SHIP: Celebrity Solstice

CABIN #: 7136

DECK #: 7

CLASS: 2B

AREA: Forward

BED NEAR: Bath

QUIET?: Ship generated noise was minimal, human noise was more noticeable - see comment in problems section

BALCONY VIEW: Good with no obstructions

BALCONY SIZE: Normal with 2 chairs and table

WIND A PROBLEM?:No

SOOT A PROBLEM?:No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: We chose this stateroom as it had rooms below and above it. One thing we never considered, was the configuration of the room above us. As it was a family stateroom, there were a number of children in this room and we were constantly listening to running feet, jumping and banging and all manner of noises, sometimes quite late. A quiet room, is dependent on your neighbours, not only surrounding you, but above and below you also.

SHIP: Reflection

CABIN #: 9374

DECK #: 9 Panorama

CLASS: concierge

AREA: Aft Starboard

BED NEAR: Bathroom

QUIET?: Yes

BALCONY VIEW: Good forward, no view back

BALCONY SIZE: Larger than standard size

WIND A PROBLEM?:No

SOOT A PROBLEM?:No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: This is the last cabin on the starboard side. As such, it is a long way from the elevator. The balcony is like an aft mini hump. It juts out like the hump balconies and thus you get a great view forward. However, there is no view back because of the bulk head. Loved the larger balcony but the distance from the elevator would be a deal breaker if there are mobility issues.

SHIP: Silhouette

CABIN #: 6302

DECK #: 6

CLASS: 2C

AREA: starboard near aft

BED NEAR: bathroom

QUIET?: yes

BALCONY VIEW: partially obstructed, 8-10' overhang over a restaurant, didn't bother us once at sea

BALCONY SIZE: seemed large to us, deep, plenty of room for the two chairs & table

WIND A PROBLEM?: no

SOOT A PROBLEM?: no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: nice room, obstructed view straight down didn't bother us, long walk to stairs / elevators but we planned on that; overhang above made it very private (no one could see us or vice-versa unless we were leaning on the balcony railing); this might be a good "peace-of-mind" cabin for people with small children --- even if a tyke were to climb over the balcony, there is a worker's railing and at least 8-feet to the edge of the overhang

SHIP: Silhouette

CABIN #: 1503

DECK #: 11

CLASS: Aqua Class 2

AREA: Port --- waaaayyyy forward

BED NEAR: Balcony

QUIET?: Yes, except for during the aerobics classes on a couple of sea days. You could hear some banging from people who aren't light on their feet.

BALCONY VIEW: See attached photo. The bridge is on the deck below, and this was a slight obstruction. Otherwise, absolutely clear view. This is not a balcony for naked sunbathing or doing anything you don't want seen :p The bridge can't see on to the balcony, but if you lean forward you are in full view.

BALCONY SIZE: Normal size with two loungers & foot rests plus a table

WIND A PROBLEM?:No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: This cabin is a long walk from an elevator. It is one door from the Relaxation Room and Spa area. If you plan to use the Persian Garden it's really convenient.

One night when the seas were a bit rough this cabin had a fair bit of movement - but then it's at the front of the ship on a higher deck, so this should be expected.

Some posters have indicated that this cabin gets more sun because it doesn't have an overhang, but we didn't find that to be true. There is no overhang, but there is still a ceiling that blocks full direct sun.

BED NEAR: Bathroom/Wardrobe

QUIET?: Very quiet

BALCONY VIEW: Unobstructed, "hump" is immediately to the right but not a bother.

BALCONY SIZE: Normal

WIND A PROBLEM?: No, not even on very windy days.

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: We had no problem with either noise or smoke coming from the deck 5 smoking area 2 decks below. Fantastic views coming into San Juan, PR and St. Thomas. Very conveniently close to The Atrium elevators, stairs & The Hideaway. Did hear the harbor pilot's boat approach early Saturday morning.

SHIP: Silhouette

CABIN #: 9268

DECK #: 9

CLASS: A-1

AREA: hump cabin steps away from elevator

BED NEAR: verandah

QUIET?: yes

BALCONY VIEW: side and towards back

BALCONY SIZE: a little bigger than a normal size

WIND A PROBLEM?:nope

SOOT A PROBLEM?:none, but some on the aft of the ship the last day

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:This cabin is in a great location, just off the elevators and next to the card room. It was still quiet. I loved the location. You didn't have to walk miles down the hall. The only thing is there was a closet outside the room that the room attendents went in and out and sometimes when the door shut you thought someone was coming into the room.
