captjdd Posted November 20, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 20, 2004 What was your best princess cruise? On what ship??
spongerob Posted November 20, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 20, 2004 I had to vote for Golden Princess. Royal Princess is an extremely close second. In fact, it's really too close to call - I want a recount!
jeanaa Posted November 20, 2004 #3 Share Posted November 20, 2004 Golden wins in the recount!
jhannah Posted November 20, 2004 #4 Share Posted November 20, 2004 I have to put Coral Princess because on that cruise we were upgraded to a vista suite. Sweet! Close second would be the Regal Princess. Still a fine ship, and the itinerary (Scandinavia/Baltic/Russia) was out of this world.
spongerob Posted November 20, 2004 #5 Share Posted November 20, 2004 I think so too, Jeanna. We had an incredible cruise on Royal Princess, and didn't think any cruise would come close. The crew on the Golden actually beat them, barely, but they did.

Druke I Posted November 20, 2004 #8 Share Posted November 20, 2004 Well, voted for Royal Princess, Buenos Aires to Barcelona, Mar 98, but that was actually the second best, the first being the last voyage of the Sky Princess as a Princess ship, San Francisco to Sydney, Sep 00. Third would probably be old Pacific Princess, Australia/NewZealand, Jan 95. Love those "exotics".

obnurse Posted November 20, 2004 #10 Share Posted November 20, 2004 Our very first cruise was on The Golden in it's first year sailing. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary. That cruise was magical and I wouldn't change a thing! The memories keep me going til we cruise again.....1-28-05 on The Sun Princess!
susancruzs Posted November 20, 2004 #11 Share Posted November 20, 2004 Royal Princess, 14 day Panama Canal in 1986! She was still fairly new and Princess made it clear she was their flag ship! Dining experience every evening was incredible, many choices, presentation beyond anything I've ever seen since! Entertainment was great, had local performers come onboard at most ports, plus we sailed with Les Brown and his band, there was so much going on you couldn't see everything and that was actually a complaint!!! :-) It was my first Princess cruise and still ranks as my favorite. I liked the Golden, the little Island Princess, Crown was o.k., but I sailed on the Royal twice and that tells the story! I've only repeated on the Royal and the Norway, both classics! Tahitian Princess Posted November 20, 2004 #13 Share Posted November 20, 2004 I love the Tahitian Princess, even more so, I love the itinerary. IMHO, it's the most beautiful place in the world!
NitaBcruising Posted November 20, 2004 #14 Share Posted November 20, 2004 Another vote for the Tahitian! Beautiful, intimate ship, and even more beautiful itinerary!
dhcoaster Posted November 20, 2004 #15 Share Posted November 20, 2004 Never had a good Princess Cruise! Poor service, bad food. Most likely will naver sail Princess again!
DougH Posted November 21, 2004 #16 Share Posted November 21, 2004 Favorite cruise was on the old Island Princess (sister to the Pacific) 10 days sailing from Anchorage (yes Anchorage not Seward) To Vancouver. Current favorite are the Sun?Dawn class ships. Doug
Host Caroline Posted November 21, 2004 #17 Share Posted November 21, 2004 My "best" Princess cruise wasn't on the poll: 11-day Alaska on the "original" Island Princess in 1998. Second "best" Dawn inaugural with the 50 sets of twins and through the Canal -- a fabulous itinerary and love the Sun-class ships.
Pam in CA Posted November 21, 2004 #18 Share Posted November 21, 2004 The "best" itinerary cruise I've taken was on the Royal Princess where we went from Rome > Naples > Alexandria > Cairo > Ephesus > Istanbul > Athens. We went with a group of friends and had a ball. It was exhausting because we took 12 - 14-hour tours almost every day but it was also thrilling. The "best" relaxing cruise I've taken was on the Regal Princess, Los Angeles > Hawaii > LA. I loved the sea days, Hawaii and then more sea days. I'm really, really looking forward to our Royal Princess cruise next April where, counting North America, we'll be on four continents.
psupa Posted November 21, 2004 #19 Share Posted November 21, 2004 I voted for the Royal Princess. I am partial to the smaller ships and this was the cruise we renewed our vows, so it was very special, and the staff and service was the best ever. This was also the cruise we met Micky Rooney. Pam in CA Posted November 21, 2004 #20 Share Posted November 21, 2004 It's interesting in that if you count up the votes for the "smaller" ships, they far out-poll the "larger" ships.
cruzfvr Posted November 21, 2004 #21 Share Posted November 21, 2004 One more vote for the Tahitian Princess. We loved everything about this cruise. Hope to do it again...
cactusrose Posted November 21, 2004 #22 Share Posted November 21, 2004 UP to now the best cruise was on the Star. It was the first sailing from Sydney to Auckland and the whole experience was magic. It's going to be hard to top that one, but I'm going to keep trying.;)
Mbouck1 Posted November 21, 2004 #23 Share Posted November 21, 2004 Have to vote for the Sea Princess because it was our first cruise with her. We also did our first BTOB on her a couple years ago.
Charlene Posted November 21, 2004 #24 Share Posted November 21, 2004 Best Princess Cruise, would be on the Island Princess 1 year ago to the Panama Canal!!
DonahCBrown Posted November 22, 2004 #25 Share Posted November 22, 2004 It's either the one I just finished or the one coming up, as a rule! Seriously, I think I'd have to give our Panama Canal Transit on the Coral "best overall" marks, although we just had a fabulous B 2 B on the Star, and it has to rank a close second. Hi out there to Chris and Lisa, Earl and Carolyn, and all the rest of the CC crowd from both the 10/24 and 10/31 cruises! Carolyn, I have a great picture of you in the check out line in San Juan!
