Breezes in Nassau

I just wanted to let everyone know about my experience. We went to Breezes the last of January on our cruise.

It was $55 per person, after getting the $5 coupon at the port (local map). It was a great time and we really enjoyed it. We took the #10 Jittney for $1.25 per person each way. We caught the jittney just a few blocks from the cruise terminal. The ride was about 15 minutes. It dropped us off at the front of Breezes and we just walked in to the reception desk. There was a short line to check in, but went quickly. They put a green wrist band on us and we were free to enjoy the resort. The beach is beautiful along with the pool. We didn't get in the ocean as it was too cold for us. We did use the pool though and thought it was nice, but a little on the chilly side.

We found plenty of chairs on the beach and at the pool. The drinks were wonderful and you could ask the bartenders to add more liquor if they weren't strong enough. No problem.

One of the great things about this resort is that there are selfserve frozen drinks at the inside bar, which you add the liquor yourself. They looked like icee machines with different frozen drinks in each one. We really took advantage of them......

We only took advantage of the outside grill for sandwiches and chips. Everything was very good.

They have activities every hour that you could participate in or just watch. They give you a towel voucher to pick up a beach towel and you could exchange for dry ones all day.

We really enjoyed this resort and will return again on our next trip to Nassau.

Hope this helps and you can email me if you have any questions.

Cindy - No we didn't see anyone snorkeling, but the water was too cold to even get in. Only a few people did and I asked them how it was and they said "not too bad, we are from Canada" - enough said..... LOL

Canadian's are used to COLD water..... LOL

We enjoyed the pool though. The place was beautiful.

Go and relax in Paradise.....

Where can I get more info on Breezes? I am so unsure of what to do in Nassau for the day!! How did you get there? We will be there Feb. 18th and have kids with us. I certainly don't want my kids to be disappointed or feel "jipped."

Regarding that frozen drink machine, where do you get the booze to put in it?:o

Any help would be so appreciated!

I investigated CC before we sailed and found Breezes.

You walk through the terminal building (stop and get your local map with the $5 off coupon inside).Get outside and turn right. Walk straight to Senior Frog's and turn left. Go until you see the British Colonial Hilton on your right and the McDonald's on your left. You catch the local bus (#10 Jutney) right in front of McDonald every 15 or so minutes. The cost is $1.25 per person each way. They will drop you off right in from of Breezes.

After you check in at the reception desk you can see the inside bar. The frozen drink machines are right there and have the liquor bottle for you to pour your own liquor right next to the machines. Too cool.

It was a great time. Go and enjoy!

We didn't see any skiing, but there was parasailing right there, also jet skiis to rent. It is a beautiful resort with a large beach with lots of chairs to enjoy. They have inside and outside bathrooms with changing rooms too. There is a swim up bar attached to the pool. Shade area too if you want them.

Haha

I might have been one of those Canadians snorkeling. I just got back yesterday after 2 weeks.

There are no corals but there are plenty of fish out there. I did also run into a stingray. Some people we met there took the cayaks out to the island and seen some dolphins.

Guys - sorry if I missed this, but can anybody go to Breezes, or do you have to have booked it as an excursion? I'm on RCCL Majesty (3-8-09) and don't think it's a listed excursion, but it sounds like I can just walk in off the street, pay my $55 and go in?? Also, was the snorkeling gear included...and looking above, how about the kayaks? Most reviews sound awesome and I might be changing our plans...THANKS!!

I think the age restriction goes up to like 18 during spring break. What I have heard anyway FWIW

Our 17 and 18 yr olds will be joining us...I wonder if they ck ID or if they would take our word for it that the 17 year old is actually 18 (wink wink). She looks like she is 23 anyways. Also, quite honestly, we don't mind if the kids have a drink or two as long as it is done responsibly...would that be a problem there?

We are going during the spring break time.

Thanks for the info! I just called Breezes and they confirmed that the cost is $60.00 and you can buy the all-day passes at the reception desk.

The $60.00 covers: food, bar drinks, activities. But no room, of course! Also, it is from 10:00am to 6:00pm. And it cost an extra $70.00 for a 6:00pm to 2:00am pass.

My question is, is there a casino within walking distance? And how much would a roundtrip taxi ride cost from the cruise terminal? Thanks again. Only 9 days till I'm cruising!

There is a casino about a 5 min walk from breezes...... A taxi from Breezes to Atlantis was $21 for 2 of us and $24 for 4 of us...... so probably take another $5 off that to the terminals.
