Breezes in Nassau

There is a casino about a 5 min walk from breezes...... A taxi from Breezes to Atlantis was $21 for 2 of us and $24 for 4 of us...... so probably take another $5 off that to the terminals.

Thanks Ace! I'm looking to spend less $$$, so I'm gonna be brave and find bus #10.

Our 17 and 18 yr olds will be joining us...I wonder if they ck ID or if they would take our word for it that the 17 year old is actually 18 (wink wink). She looks like she is 23 anyways. Also, quite honestly, we don't mind if the kids have a drink or two as long as it is done responsibly...would that be a problem there?

We are going during the spring break time.

We had a friends daughter with us when we went who was 17 and they did rquire ID. Especially during spring break they will be watching..She was not allowed on the resort. There is more than just the drinking....some of the pool games and entertainment can be a little risque for that age group.

Its actually very easy...... not only is the bus stop right outside ( turn to the left) but Ive seen bus drivers stop from the other side of the road to ask people if they need rides. At the entrance of Breezes they have employees and security that ask you if you need a cab or if you need help. If you tell them you are gonna take the bus they will point the way .

Also, you dont pay until the end or your ride

I just wanted to let everyone know about my experience. We went to Breezes the last of January on our cruise.

It was $55 per person, after getting the $5 coupon at the port (local map). It was a great time and we really enjoyed it. We took the #10 Jittney for $1.25 per person each way. We caught the jittney just a few blocks from the cruise terminal. The ride was about 15 minutes. It dropped us off at the front of Breezes and we just walked in to the reception desk. There was a short line to check in, but went quickly. They put a green wrist band on us and we were free to enjoy the resort. The beach is beautiful along with the pool. We didn't get in the ocean as it was too cold for us. We did use the pool though and thought it was nice, but a little on the chilly side.

We found plenty of chairs on the beach and at the pool. The drinks were wonderful and you could ask the bartenders to add more liquor if they weren't strong enough. No problem.

One of the great things about this resort is that there are selfserve frozen drinks at the inside bar, which you add the liquor yourself. They looked like icee machines with different frozen drinks in each one. We really took advantage of them......

We only took advantage of the outside grill for sandwiches and chips. Everything was very good.

They have activities every hour that you could participate in or just watch. They give you a towel voucher to pick up a beach towel and you could exchange for dry ones all day.

We really enjoyed this resort and will return again on our next trip to Nassau.

Hope this helps and you can email me if you have any questions.

Thanks for the info. We are college grads 23-26 cruising in April out of Baltimore and were looking for something to do in Nassau since we are there from 7am to 5pm so this is a steal considering most of the excursions are over a $100. Being on a budget, we were looking for something fun to do without having to pay a huge price for it. So thanks again!

I called Breezes myself being that we have an upcoming cruise in April and that is what my plans were for in Nassau. My 20 year old and my 16 year old will be joining us and the lady confirmed that even though it was spring break they would still allow the 16 year old in as long as he was accompanied by someone 21 or over.

yes, they check ID's. There's so much drinking there during this time, they can't keep track of who is and who isn't legal to drink.

That's news to me.. last season they turned away plenty of underage people. with or without their parents.

I'd have a secondary game plan..

Ya I was telling my husband that also, you just never know. Any recommendations for a back up to Breezes. Were looking for relaxing but fun and yet don't want to break the bank (Atlantis resort) if you know what I mean.

Its all so very confusing, this is even posted on there web site

Note: All adults staying at this resort must be 18 years of age or older during March 1st through May 30th (unless accompanied by an adult 21 years of age or older; standard minimum age is 14 years old). Proper identification will be required when checking in at the front desk.

Unfortunately, different staff "interprets" differently. And with this difficult economic season ahead, who knows what the new "rules" will be.

If you are turned away from Breezes, just keep on going down the block a bit to the Wyndham. $40 gets you lunch at the Seaside buffet and a full day on the wyndham property as well as access to the Sheraton Next door.

wyndham is only 5 minutes away.

18 is the drinking age in the Bahamas... and one price includes ALL you can drink... I would suggest you have one not get quite as drunk as the other... so you can remember to get back on this ship.

Don't know about activities/American accept everywhere/1.25pp on jitney(bus)/taxi $5pp

thanks! i was worried about them not accepting american dollars.

i forgot 2 ask, someone said the day pass is from 10am - 6pm, is there anything we could do after 6pm around there since the ship doesn't leave till midnight?

You can always head over to Carlos & Charlies for more drinks. I am not sure what ship you are going on and your itinerary, but Nassau is formal night for the 3 Night Monarch....just in case you want to partake!

That would be quite a hike.. as Nassau doesn't have a Carlos and Charlies.. but we DO have a Senor Frogs.. I guess you were nipping a bit too much to take notice.. lol.. ;)

all alcoholic drinks except premium brands (I think) are included.

You can pay with cash

There's a buffet and an outdoor grill...not sure if any of the regular restaurants are open for lunch

Everything that is behind the bar is included... sometimes at night at certain eateries wine would be extra.

My son and his GF are in Nassau today on NCL Gem. They were planning on Breezes but when they got there they were turned away because they are full. They told him they are booked for the next month due to spring break and are not selling day passes. He called last week to ask if they ever get sold old for day passes and was told no...that they just have to show up and they will be able to get in

So for any of you planning on Breezes in the next few weeks, you will probably want to have a back up plan

This doesn't surprise me. They've overbooked the rooms as well, and have been sending guests to other hotels in the area.
