mom2girls Posted June 9, 2009 #101 Share Posted June 9, 2009 I called Breezes Bahamas yesterday . . . they said they are still offering day passes to cruisers just not on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Our cruise ship will be there next Wednesday so we are good. Now I just pray for and speak that the weather will be absolutely beautiful with no rain. That's a bummer since I'll be there on a Friday. :(
Jillliebean Posted June 12, 2009 #102 Share Posted June 12, 2009 Thanks so much for the useful info! We're going to the Bahamas for the first time in August and had no idea what to do and this sounds great! I'm familiar with the Jitney :) They have them in Atlantic City to take you from Casino to Casino so no one drinks and drives!! :p
sefan Posted June 13, 2009 #103 Share Posted June 13, 2009 We spent the day at Breezes on Wednesday, June 10th. We found the discount coupon in the Trailblazer map. We took the Jitney and arrived around 1:00. We were traveling on the Monarch of the Seas and wanted to find a place to take the 5 boys (celebrating their 21st birthdays) and the two 24 year olds. This was the perfect place. All of the employees were very nice and accomodating at the check-in desk. We grabbed a bite to eat at the buffet and again, all the staff members were delightful. While the kids enjoyed the pool, grill, and open bar, we enjoyed the beach. I parasailed with one of the locals on the beach. The price was $60 to parasail and $5 to ride in the boat & take pics. This was great and I would highly recommend it. The "kids" loved the place and plan to make a trip back there in the near future.
HellsBelle08 Posted July 2, 2009 #104 Share Posted July 2, 2009 I am cruising in late October and will be in Nassau on a Saturday...we will be in port all day and it seemed like the day pass would be a great option, so I called them today to see what the deal was. I was told as of now, day passes ARE being sold to cruisers all 7 days of the week, with no plans to stop. :) Just thought I would pass on the update! sumgem Posted July 3, 2009 #105 Share Posted July 3, 2009 Will be in Nassau off of the Carnival Fascination in a month and are deciding between either Breezes or the Wyndham/Sheraton day pass. I see that the Breezes day pass is from 10 - 6. I was wondering what the time for the Whyndam day pass was?? We will be docked from 12 to 10. Not sure there is, except when the pools closed/outside shut down there would only be the casino. As for the Breezes they have another evening pass from 6pm til 2am which I think is another $60-70pp. So you could stay but pony up more money... of course if you are slamming the drinks you could do a lot of damage in 3 hours and still be back onboard by 9:30 in time for nap! lol
manateelover Posted July 3, 2009 #107 Share Posted July 3, 2009 Hello, I know your boys are all above 14, but do you know if they "check" passports to validate ages of kids? Our boys are 11 and 15. We didn't know if we could do the day pass at Breezes with our 11 year old. Just wondering how intense they check into the ages. Looks nice, just not sure if we could go with the minimum age being 14. Thanks for your help.

During Spring Break it's 18 and thru Carnival it's 18. 11 is 3 years younger and I doubt you will get in. Try Wyndham or Sheraton.
StephenNSamantha Posted July 24, 2009 #110 Share Posted July 24, 2009 My wife and I just returned from a 4 night stay at Breezes. We thought we would try an all-inclusive resort instead of cruising this year. We would recommend getting a day pass to Breezes, but we would not recommend staying there. The pool and beach are very clean. There are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas for shade. The bars serve premium liquor and the drinks are strong. The bar staff was very friendly and were always happy to make drinks. The pool grill (open 11:30-6:30) has the best food at Breezes. The burgers, conch fritters, jerk chicken and fries are all awesome. The food at the buffet is over all bad, especially at lunch. The rooms are full of mold and aren't clean. The beds and bedding are horrible. Most of the first floor of the hotel reeks of mold. The hotel was built in the 70's and really needs a total remodel. After Breezes, we see what a great value cruising is: Clean rooms, good food, and good entertainment for less $$$. Next year we're going back to cruising. Chosen One Posted July 25, 2009 #111 Share Posted July 25, 2009 DH and I spend a wonderful day at Breezes but definately not the place for an 11 year old! Our DS is 11 and I wouldn't bring him there. It is definately an adult place and some of the games are rather PG-13 :p or above! There were many intoxicated guests and some honeymooners who had not decided to keep it in their room:eek:! For youngsters, I would recommend a different option!

Breezes isn't really a family destination. I wouldn't think anyone under 17 would be comfortable there. It's an adult environment.

marym933 Posted August 5, 2009 #114 Share Posted August 5, 2009 An earlier post stated that Breezes doesn't offer day passes to cruisers on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Does anyone know if that is still in effect??
