woodsroy Posted April 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 18, 2009 OK, I'm confused re: upgrades. We have booked an NCL Jade cruise for June. We have paid in full already, inside stateroom. Checking prices now, I see that an oceanview room is less than what we paid. Can we ask for an upgrade to that category? If so, should we expect to pay more, and if so, how much more? How does this work? Thanks.
firefly333 Posted April 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 18, 2009 If the price is less than you paid for the cabin you have, you should try and get the upgrade. I know they dont always let you, but I would push until I got it if the price had dropped that much. ..... and no if the price for the OV is now less than what you paid for a inside, you should not have to pay for the upgrade. Im assuming you added in the taxes and the total price for the OV is now less from what you said. Some TAs dont always want to do it, but Id push if it were me. paul929207 Posted April 18, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 18, 2009 Most likely, the low price you are seeing is for new bookings only. However, it doesn't hurt to call and ask about the new prices.
cb at sea Posted April 19, 2009 #4 Share Posted April 19, 2009 You can "upgrade" yourself any time, if you're willing to pay for it, and as long as there's a better room available! The cruiselines have no compunction about taking additional money from you!
