pms4104 Posted May 21, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 21, 2009 I don't have a favorite ... rather, I have an absolute non-favorite: Jimmy Lynett, Statendam, December 2008.
Typhoon1 Posted May 21, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 21, 2009 He's new, but he does a great job. Johnnie Quinn.
RuthC Posted May 21, 2009 #5 Share Posted May 21, 2009 Without a doubt---Susan Woods. I swear, she must be triplets ;). No one person could be in that many places, get to know that many passengers, and have that much energy.
Spinner2 Posted May 21, 2009 #6 Share Posted May 21, 2009 Michelle Worthley would be my absolute first choice. Moving right up, though, is relative-newcomer Michael Headla.

spcl4cs_gal Posted May 21, 2009 #8 Share Posted May 21, 2009 My vote would be Shane Michaels. That's a tough question....three come to mind.....Shane, Drew Murdoch, and Jason Venner.
Sleepladypalmdesert Posted May 21, 2009 #9 Share Posted May 21, 2009 I liked Michael Headla too! He is a newby....but has the energy, enthusiasm, personality, etc. I think he will be right up there with the best. I even got to dance with him during ball room dancing lessons. Since we were in 30 ft. seas, I am not sure it was really dancing....but fun nonetheless. Yes, my vote is Michael Headla.
Rare Copper10-8 Posted May 21, 2009 #10 Share Posted May 21, 2009 #4 for Susan Wood; very polished; full of information; takes time out for her guest(s) like being on the gangway at oh dark thirty in the AM in Alexandria, Egypt to see off those of us going to the all-day Cairo trip and being there again by 9:00 PM at night when her guest(s) came home! Classy lady with or without her haunted castle:) and a great ambassador for HAL
Juanita462 Posted May 21, 2009 #11 Share Posted May 21, 2009 Thom on the Prinsendam - very personable, spoke to everyone and ran a great program and was always available by phone or in his office.

Mary Ellen Posted May 21, 2009 #25 Share Posted May 21, 2009 We've found them all decent - except two that we'd be quite happy to NEVER sail with again. One is no longer with HAL and the other is Shane Michaels. We've never had the pleasure of sailing with Susan Wood, but it sounds like we should!
