runkmoe Posted July 23, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 23, 2009 Who would you recommend to use as a shuttle service from Fort Lauderdale airport to Port Everglades? Looking for ideas. Thanks for your help.:)
cruiser429 Posted July 23, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 23, 2009 Taxi is probably the easiest. It's not that far.
Andee Posted July 23, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 23, 2009 A taxi was less than $15--and that's per cab, not per person.
Rare Essiesmom Posted July 23, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 23, 2009 Check out North American Homeports, east Coast departures, then Florida departures board. EM
runkmoe Posted July 23, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted July 23, 2009 A taxi was less than $15--and that's per cab, not per person. Was this a recent rate?
Treven Posted July 23, 2009 #6 Share Posted July 23, 2009 Taxis are really reasonable in FLL, and as has been posted, the two are really close to each other - almost next to each other.
paul929207 Posted July 23, 2009 #7 Share Posted July 23, 2009 It is only a 5 or 10 minute ride from the airport to the cruise terminal. You can see the ships from the airport.

tip Posted July 23, 2009 #10 Share Posted July 23, 2009 I would never take a shuttle from FLL to Port Everglades. Way too expensive and a great deal of hurry up and wait. Taxies are plentiful both at the airport and the cruiseport. About $15 per cab (not per person) including tip is about right.
runkmoe Posted July 23, 2009 Author #11 Share Posted July 23, 2009 Thank you all for your help with this. The cruise line wanted a lot of money for transfers and then I got to shopping. I will be getting a taxi instead of booking a shuttle. Again, thank you all for your help.

Cruisingcab Posted July 26, 2009 #13 Share Posted July 26, 2009 Taxis are the most convenient and economical way to travel from the Fort Lauderdale Airport to Port Everglades. One way would cost you about $15 and you will be there in 10 minutes. Do Not purchase the transfers from the cruise lines you will have to wait until they can fill up their buses before they will allow you to leave and charge you double.
