So did I and I caught the ship at the Jetty. I could even pick out our stateroom balcony. Thanks for the pictures and please keep them coming.

Can I ask what webcam you were all using?? I couldn't get the port canaveral one to work - just looked like colorful 'snow' on the camera! Maybe its the computer I have here at work? I really wanted to see it:(

Here are some webcam links if you can't see the one at port canaveral.

This one is from the Radision and has pretty much the same view as the Port Canaveral cam

http://www.opusad.com/radissonwebcam/

Here is the one I look at about 15 minutes after the ship pulls away from the port and you can watch the ship on this one for about 45 minutes

http://cocoabeachnow.com/beachcams.cfm/mode/portcanaveral#cam for the jetty. It is a Java cam and you can control it for 2 minutes.

http://www.portcanaveral.com/webcam.htm for the terminal/port. I had trouble working it awhile back because of virus that was affecting my Windows Media. It's all fixed now and wonderful to use.

Radio, here i am again ready to sail thru your eyes. I actually get aboard in October. I just love being able to cruise thru your eyes while I await my own time. So thank you so much for your wonderful info and pix. BTW, WOW, what a gorgeous shot in the early morning. She really is beautiful.

Awaiting your next broadcast. This is better than waiting for the Green Hornet or The Shadow ( that's only for those old enough to remember those great "radio" shows:D Ms Toad tuning out for now with a great big thanx

Radio,

Please let us know at what time you managed to get on the ship or they started letting people to board. Official time is 4:30pm, but I've heard people boarding well before then (like 11:00am). Always nice to be one of the first ones on board.

Again, have a wonderful cruise!!

Pete, have sailed FOS four times before, and embarking processing opens at 11:00, so you can arrive then, since the day in port in PC is considered one of your cruise days. Get one, have lunch in the windjammer on Deck 11, which opens at 11:30, and then all cabins become accessible at 1:00p...enjoy her all day!! My favorite ship with RCCL.

I am also staying at the Radisson and leaving my car there for the week. It would be really nice to know what the rumor is to potentially save some needless heartache. Since when did CCer's become shy:D

Also,,, thanks Radio, I always look forward to your fabulous reviews.

I just answered the "rumor" above and feel badly since I have not gotten any confirmation. Not that I know how I would. We were just not comfortable staying there and I heard it is a great hotel.

Radio, Thanks for the great pictures. Have a great week.

CruisesOnMyMind ~ I went back to the East Coast departures & tried to find a thread about the Radisson rumour but couldn't. Some people were very happy with it. Perhaps you should check it out on Trip Advisor & see what people are saying there.

Really looking forward to Radio's "live".

Hi Radio,

Just got off FOS today and had a great time. If you make your way to the casino, say hi to Edwin from Brett, a dealer who is the mayor and knows everyone. Also tell him I don't blame him for taking my money. He'll get a kick out of that.

Thanks

Radio, Thanks for the great pictures. Have a great week.

Thank you for letting us know the up and up. Now knowing this we will keep or reservation. Not to many hotels have never had reports of bedbugs at one time or another. I certainley would not want to be in the company of any. Heck, even RCCL has reportedly had them at one time or another.

I understand all rooms in the 100 block tower have been completely renovated so will request a room there.

Retiring Soon,,,,,,,I had already checked TripAdvisor and most of the reviews are positive (always exceptions). I did not see one mentioning bedbugs.

Again thank you for the information so we can make an informed decision.

CruiseLover15 - There was a bed bug rumor from another post. It has not been confirmed. We made a reservation at Country Inns just in case.

Thank you so much for clearing that up for me. I need to give this some thought and do some more checking around.

Radio, great reports. Did you not stay at one of the PC hotels that allows you to park your car free for the week and then take a free shuttle to and from the port? Why did you drive and pay to park at the terminal?

We stayed at the Raddison 2 weeks ago and had no bed bugs. Great sleep number air mattress in a very clean first class room. Breakfast buffet not so hot/great but it was included so can't complain too much. We had a great week on the FofS. Still a very nice/clean ship full of fun and surprises. Great entertainment all week and great food.

We left the Pier right at about 430PM, and we were treated with blue skies, and blue water. . . .a truly wonderful Sail away.

When I sailed on Liberty of the Seas back in Jan 2008, I was lucky to be on a Freedom Class ship. The only thing that was missing was sunny skies. It really makes a difference when you sail from a port on a beautiful ship when the weather is nice. Today might have been the perfect sail away. . .

We followed the Carnival Sensation, and Disney Wonder followed us from Port Canaveral. Our first port this week will be Labadee. Captain Eric Tengelsen advised us that we had 719nm to sail before we reached Labadee, Haiti.

I had a great dinner tonight at Jade, up on Deck 11. I had some delicious Sushi, some Jasmine Rice, and a little Coconut Ice Cream. I thought the Sushi, and Jasmine Rice were very good. . . I highly recommend it for those who love Sushi.

The Welcome Aboard show was very good as well. . . Our Cruise Director, Allan Brooks really loves his job, and it shows. Comedian Rick Corso was hilarious. I think he will do an adult show later in the week.

I read yesterday, that someone came back from a RCI cruise, and reported that the Cruise Compass had changed to a different title, and format. The Freedom of the Seas still offer that Cruise Compass. . . Just as I had remembered it. Maybe they are testing the different version on Liberty of the Seas or Indy. . .

Today has been a long day, so I may be hitting the rack a little early tonight. Tomorrow should be a day filled with activities.

I have a Cruise Critic meeting tomorrow morning. There are a couple of my Cruise Critic friends on board this week, so It will be nice to talk with them.

Here are a few pictures from out Sail away. . . More pics tomorrow ! !

Radio. This is so exciting to view this cruise from your eyes. Thanks so much for sharing. We will be sailing in 180 days which seems like such a long long way away. Now when I dream about our cruise I can look at your pictures and know that soon it will be real. Thanks again. Enjoy your cruise. Helen:)
