Alternative Dining Reservations

My DH and I will be sailing on the Diamond next month. Will we be able to make reservations on embarkation day for the 2 formal nights for Sterling and/or Sabatini's? If reservations may be made upon boarding, do we call from our cabin or go to the specific restaurants?

In the past with anytime dining we've not really made reservations - we just show up to MDR but would like to have something scheduled for the 2 formal nights this time around.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can make reservations on embarkation day. Just phone for dining reservations. They may be busy. I had to try two or three times before I got through to a live person on my last Princess cruise.

Found, that it takes too long to get through to the dining line, the tables set up have lines that are too long also! Go right to the venue you want to dine at as soon as you board and you can book right there. Simple and no long lines or wait time:)
