We had one on Splendour in 2015(Santos to Barcelona) so RCL have done it.

That menu is very similar to the one we had on Thanksgiving on Serenade a few weeks ago. I had the Beef Wellington and it was delicious. Enjoy and Merry Christmas.

I wouldn't worry about it, it's extremely unlikely they will bump anyone but if they did I don't think it would be someone who has flown across the Atlantic to get there.

If this is true it's terrible. I think it's odd that they did not immediately refund the cost of the excursion onboard as they usually do this routinely if there is a problem. Only a couple of weeks ago we had the cost of an excursion refunded, there was only a small issue and we would not have expected a full refund whereas in this situation I would expect a refund and maybe even some compensation for the upset. @Chiliburn horrible that they don't want to honour your letter but I think the key is to get it signed by someone in authority onboard. If you remember the cruise we were both on last year on Ovation, I got covid and could not do the b2b. I got a letter signed by the GSM onboard stating I would get a full refund which I got a couple of weeks later with no problems. Others in the exact same situation as me but no letter had problems getting that refund. Unfortunately it seems nowadays RCL will get out of anything they can.

Can't remember what the sheet said but ours was not on hangers but was all nicely folded and DH's T shirts were nice enough to wear without ironing. They did have the tag with the cabin number on.

We have both types in the UK, the one you are talking about (and many here prefer) is called back bacon and the other one (similar to US bacon) is called streaky. Both are widely available.

I know they don't do the savoury bites anymore but has anyone actually asked for any of the other rolls. I prefer brown (wheat as you call it)bread and after a couple of nights of no brown rolls in the basket on Serenade a couple of weeks ago I asked the headwaiter. Every night after our table was bought a large plate of brown rolls, often still warm from the oven. We even got crusty ones with pine nuts one night.

I do the exact same thing as described by @orville99 with my Samsung, very easy.

I second adding the gratuities into the price, at least for UK bookings as so many other cruise lines do it here now. I assume the crew on those lines must be paid fairly otherwise they would not renew their contracts.

You're English and you've never heard of proper bacon?😄 They do usually have it on the ships that sail from Southampton, couldn't have a proper English breakfast without it.

On the second canal cruise the doors to the VCL were never opened, the concierge told us he had been told not to open them. For the HH only Pins and D+ were allowed in so I'd guess it would be the same for the WC (however will wait for confirmation😁).

The guy in the genie outfit was onboard during the Panama Canal cruise, several nights he was sitting with the concierge Fabio in the Crown lounge (minus the outfit). We wondered who he was, thought maybe an extra concierge coming on for the WC.

Anthem is doing a similar cruise next year starting from Southampton to Singapore, we booked the last 2 legs, Rome to Singapore a couple of weeks ago with very good prices.

Gede and Suaji who were in the Crown Lounge last week are also fab, they are on until Dubai. Gede makes a great Cosmo.

I think you'll still get the new pillows and all the mattresses seem to have been replaced. The pillows and towels under our bed seem exactly the same as what we've had this cruise which appear fairly new.

We like quite a firm mattress so they are great for us without a topper.. The first few days of the cruise we were up before 7 as we were still on UK time, for the last week or so we've been waking nearer 8. We are doing the Everglades excursion to kill time before our flight tomorrow so will have to be ready for 7.30am for that!

Lots of the crew seem to be changing. Our cabin steward is going home from Miami with us. We went to the production show last night and they announced that this was the last time this cast would perform 'Vibeology', new cast coming on for the world cruise. Also the CD is changing, this morning we were waiting for Trivia in Scooner bar and we saw Joff walking by. He told us he boarded in LA and is getting ready to take over for the world cruise. Our MDR waiters are both staying on and looking forward to the world cruise.

We're in Grand Cayman today, just tendered in. Got this pic from the tender, someone is going to be busy painting if they want it to look good for next week😯

Most of my pics are rubbish but Mark got this lovely one as we were leaving Cartagena last night.

Just the blackout curtains which are very stained on the back side. Miss the sheers.

Last night we went to the excursion desk, didn't exactly complain but said excursion was not as advertised. They offered us a 15 % refund which was fine with us. Just been back to the cabin and had a message on the phone saying they have given a full refund. Did not think it warranted that but happy to accept😄. Booked the excursion on the planner months ago, think it cost around £32 pp which I thought was reasonable.
