FLL & MIA ports closed last night. Word is they expect to open tomorrow. 2 Holland cruises were set to disembark today but get an extra sea day!

I 100% agree...but I had backed out of one for a concert with these friends already. I figured 2 & my friends would de-friend.

So glad for ya'll--but I'm so sad!! You 2 are some of the inspiration for me to sail solo for the first time this summer. (you, too, @GenerationX !) When @graphicguymentioned the deal on this, I JUMPED, thinking I had a break in my schedule...well, not to be, a concert with friends had already been scheduled. (it was a blast...concerts r better with friends) 'Twas not to be--to another time!

I like my odds flying to FLL Friday as opposed to late Tuesday night...

The weather warnings on weatherchannel.com were quite alarming last night...so we rebooked for tonight. Then this morning, I can see it has shifted north & sped up so it would be starting to get nasty when we get in late tonight. AND I see the sunnier forecast for Friday...SOOO rebooked for Friday again! Actually got a preferable flight time...still lots of connection options after ours should there been any issues. Of course packed in a flurry last night & adrenaline made for short sleep night...but now I have time to be a bit more organized (and take a nap!)

OOh, boy. We fly out Friday for a Saturday embarkation on the Equinox. Last night things looked pretty bad on Friday so we changed to this afternoon. When I get up I see things have shifted & sped up a bit, so MAYBE flying in tonight ISN'T such a great plan...and Friday looks much brighter again. SO we took advantage of that free weather change & booked a reasonable hour to depart Friday (11AM) instead of the ungodly 6AM. (don't worry, there are several planes going to FLL after ours in Houston JUST in case...)

If u r willing to head tomorrow your airline will likely waive change fees (SWA did) We r doing that rather than risk cancellations on Friday. Feels a bit crazy to be flying TOWARD the storm!

Decided to be proactive & fly in tomorrow instead of Friday for our Saturday cruise. Mostly worried about impacts on air travel Friday.

Yikes. When I saw the 5:30 national news, it seemed fine with our Friday flight (MDW connection; arriving FLL 6pm) Now when I pull up weather channel.com, I'm NOT so sure.... SWA has many flights tomorrow showing quite a bit of availability; I suspect they would change us. Any thoughts by those with experience in this??

They allow you to do this??!! If so, sounds like a great plan!

The Beyond booking I had it for 2 people. Gotta say, Princess makes it easy--$50pp/day for drinks, tips & wifi. No brainer.

Uh...betting the woman did not realize they must be on the ship 90 min. prior to departure... Ugh. Makes my heart hurt. In 20+ cruises, we have flew day of 3x. Only 1 was our choice. Luckily all worked out. But we fly in day prior always...and now even choose flights to connecting cities with more flights to our destination after our flight...JUST in case. (not a lot of direct from OMA to cruise ports)

Looking at solo IV on Ascent...All included only $100 more than room cost. Just pulled up a balcony (for 2) on Beyond (different dates) $1600pp for cruise only & $4k pp for All Included??!! THAT MAKES NO SENSE! You could add drink package, tips & wifi (separately) for FAR less than $2400pp for a 7 day cruise! (both 7 day cruises) I have noticed this before...a wide variation of prices for All Included.

Oh, heck yeah! @JamieLogical & @graphicguy last week on NCL Breakaway & you this week??! SO AWESOME. You 3 inspire me as a a non-single but sometimes solo cruiser. Let the party begin!

Cannot decide what to do here. We definitely want chairs, restrooms & a place to grab drinks. We definitely want a zero entry area into the ocean--is all of Coral Beach with a fence/ledge?

I have my eye on Beyond Dec. 1 2023. I've put this Ascent cruise on our radar too. We sail the Equinox Saturday so may book one or both if I can convince DH...

Are you sure it didn't expire? I took advantage of one for NCL a couple months ago but I don't remember the expiration date.
