Did you you go ask for the half and half and point out their mistake? Coming on here and accusing them of an intentional lie seems unjust until fully investigated.

I’m probably one of the few people left who requests brochures and maps from the Con Vis bureau of the city I’m going to visit. The NYC office used to be across the street from the Sheraton. I’ve received brochures from Cocoa Beach , Fla.

@George CWhat’s the name of your favorite hotel near the Sheraton? George , we were typing at the same time . Thanks for letting us know the name of your fav hotel. My husband traveled for decades on business and amassed millions of points on one airline and one hotel brand . We’ve not paid for hotels in a very long time . So , naturally we are cashing in now that he is retired.

We’ve stayed at the Waldorf Astoria and no complaints. We’ve also stayed at the Westin Times Square, the Hilton on Avenue of the Americas and the Sheraton on 7th and 52nd . That was some years, ago . No complaints about any of them .

Happy birthday to Donna ! You live in a beautiful place . It is so green . I certainly want to hear about Greenland when you return.

My friend and I went on vacation to Halifax and missed out on seeing my favorite birds . We hired a driver and toured Cape Breton besides renting a car to do our own sightseeing. I hope , you’ll let us know about your cruise when you return. Thank you , again !

I’m just wondering how your planning for your Greenland cruise is going . I have a friend who is cruising to Greenland and Iceland from Southampton in September. I’ve mentioned to you before that another friend found the excursions in Greenland lacking . I canceled the cruise you’re on for a Pacific coastal and there is only one excursion in Santa Barbara and you have to call to book it . There are no excursions in Astoria and the Los Angeles ones are very expensive. It is a good thing that I lived in LA for 9 years and so familiar with area and Santa Barbara. We disembark in San Diego ( home port ) and many continue on through the Panma Canal. Since many are doing a weather report here’s mine for San Diego: Temperature : 85° F Humidity. : 54%

@Sunshine3601So very sorry for the loss of Eric’s friend. My SIL knows all too well the pain of kidney disease . Fortunately, her daughter was able to donate one of her kidneys.

You might want to check out Samantha Brown’s videos on Portsmouth , NH . She’s from there . She has a travel program on. PBS called Places to Love . I’m originally from Manchester and I’ve only been to Portsmouth once so no help from me though I do miss whole body fried clams and Moxie .

Seems like a lot of doctor visits but take it one day at a time . Prayers for a speedy recovery so you can go on your cruise.

We are getting a daily fireworks show during July from Sea World 11 miles from our house . If we can hear them it must be very loud near the bay . I don’t know how the pets cope. Tomorrow will be a spectacular show from the port area with fireworks going off from five locations. Setting off fireworks by private citizens is illegal in town but some always do anyway and so dangerous because the vegetation is so dry.

We used Dora the Explorer in Cartagena. We were part of a group organized by someone on our roll call . It was hot so we asked the tour guide if we could stay on the bus while the other passengers toured the old town. The bus driver kept the AC on which was a relief. Christmas Tree Shops to liquidate all stores. SD has a a year round Christmas store and I don’t know how City Lights stays in business. You probably have all that you will ever need .
