  1. @ciaoYacht the VG cancellations you read about are likely when the port stop and beach bbq was temporarily held over near the VG yacht harbor/Fischers cove. Conditions can be very choppy there especially in the winter months. The North Sound is quite calm and sheltered and Prickly Pear is quite tranquil. We’re down in the BVI often as we have partial ownership in a property on Jost. When we take the boat up to VG, it’s such a relief to turn into the North Sound on a blustery day.
  2. If you’re docking in Havensight, the Tap and Still right there is a great spot with TVs, great burgers and drinks/craft beer.
  3. Check the Roll Call board for your sailing. You might have luck there in finding fellow cruisers on your sailing.
  4. Thank you @shrkdive1. Our logs aren’t signed (not sure if that is also required) given they are on our computers. But we do also log the dive shop and the divemasters name and PADI number which will be reflected in our printed logs exported from the computer. . Hopefully that is good enough.
  5. About the logs....we have them all stored on our dive computers, which we will be bringing along. Do they need a printout of the log? Thanks!
  6. This is all great info! We are on the 7-night sail Aug 26 (+3 days post in Moorea) and looking to balance dive and other tours. @sitathanks for the mention about skipping diving in Huahine; we were on the fence about this one. We planned to dive in the AM (where offered) and then head out afterwards for other activities. Bora Bora and Moorea seem to be our two dive stops and really looking forward to it.
  7. They are not included but you can use your OBC to book once on board. I have heard of people with OBC paying for an excursion ahead of time/ online and then canceling and rebooking with OBC once on board the shop.
  8. Good day Piaa, If you havent already, give the Ports of Call board a try for a hotel reco. Ports of Call>Pacific Islands.
  9. Just got an email from Regent that our RT Hong Kong cruise for Nov 2023 is now cancelled. Dear Valued Guest and Travel Partner: In light of the uncertainty around China ports we have had to modify the course of a number of 2023 voyages aboard Seven Seas Explorer to allow an unrivaled experience of the incredible region of South-East Asia. To accommodate this, we regret to inform you that your 10-night Pristine Islands & Filipino Culture voyage departing on November 10, 2023, has been canceled. We recognize this news will cause disappointment and we want to provide flexibility for you to decide how to proceed with your travel plans.
  10. I doubt about that! That is our hangout plus Coco Loco. The only time we go to soggy is if someone leaves us a drink on the board. My fiancée is an amateur bartender but makes a mean bushwhacker haha
  11. As a side note, I saw your mention in another post that you have a charter company in STJ. We are frequent visitors of the VI and BVI; heading back to Jost next month as a matter of fact. Aug-Oct would be perfect for you during your slow season on island.
  12. After reading up, we seemed to notice that July-Oct was the best time for weather and being there for the whale migration. We are divers so this definitely appeals to us. We are going in Aug 2023.
  13. I’m seeing posts today on another page of pax on board currently and are reporting a/c issues in cabins.. Sounds like they've been told another part is on order….
  14. Personally, I think we are going to move our Nov 2023 cruise to sometime in later 2024 or 2025...or at least see how things are by final payment, which is only 7 months away in June 2023.
  15. Have a look at the pinned post with a compilation of good/not so good reports on cabins. It’s at the top of the forum and should provide some good insight as well. I know I’ve used it to help me select a cabin.
  16. The All In includes the Captains Exclusive Beverage Package. Here is the list. There was a price cap of $11.50 on glasses of wine last time we sailed. Not sure if that has changed.
  17. I was able to access it (without paying) by exiting and reloading a few times. Screen grabs of the article…hopefully they’ll post in order.
  18. This is an interesting article (as of Nov 6,2022). HK cruise port being used as a quarantine facility and outlook on future cruises. https://www.ft.com/content/0b699c06-08f4-4922-9b50-73c20c196738
  19. We are booked on a Regent cruise roundtrip Hong Kong in Nov 2023. On the fence at this point. While HKs formal quarantine has been lifted, there are still 7-days of required self testing and monitoring as well as a test prior to boarding the plane and a test/go upon arrival in HK. There is also limited movement permitted (no mask off or group environments) during the 7-days. We would need to arrive on Thursday morning for a cruise departing Friday at 5pm so not sure how the required monitoring period would work for 1.5 days. If this is still in place upon final payment, we are sadly going to cancel. Heaven forbid I test positive and end up in a quarantine facility there. 21. Great info and dialogue! Here are some photos posted to another site that have some of the dive schedules. Gives an idea of some of the sites and times. My understanding/assumption is each trip is one tank and you can go back out with the second group of you wanted to do two tank…But I could be wrong there. We are doing the 7-night in Aug of 2023 and will likely do two tank in Bora Bora and one in Moorea before we debark there early.
  22. Yes. We saw them anchored off of Prickly Pear when we were at the BEYC in the spring. Bbq was set up.
  23. Last time we sailed it was Jose Cuervo and Patron. Patron was not included in the drink package unless you wanted to pay an up charge.
  24. Yes this has happened to me and the only option is to cancel and rebook under the new/existing promo. With that, your rate may go up/down depending on the rate offered during the promo and you’d lose any perk from your original booking. They do charge $100/pp admin fee but I’ve had the fee rolled into my new reservation as obc. if your rate has dropped by $1k I would def rebook with the new rate.
  25. Awwww so close! Maybe a champagne toast on deck at midnight as you’re sailing away to celebrate!
