  1. We are the same. Thank you for this info.
  2. I’m going to call Monday. Thanks for the info!
  3. On the very informative daily activities link, it didnt show Le Grille open for dinner. Anyone sailed recently and know if Le Grille is open for dinner? Thanks!
  4. Anyone have the dive schedule for the 7-day?
  5. Great to hear about experiences on bringing your own gear! We plan to do the same; just need weights and air.
  6. We are leaving the ship on the last day in Moorea to the Hilton for two nights. The last night the ship just heads back to Papeete and docks overnight so figured that would be a good day to debark early. My TA made a note on the reservation that we'd be debarking early and we will confirm again on the ship.
  7. We’re going in August and have TMobile international plan since we’re in Mexico and the BVI so often. I was gonna say I was sure TMobile was ok down there. Thanks for confirming!
  8. If you happen to be stopping in the BVI, Sunchaser Scuba or Dive BVI (Virgin Gorda) or Jost Van Dyke Scuba (we got certified here) are great!
  9. When do shore excursions typically become available online to book? Thanks!
  10. Book it now (pay out of pocket), then cancel and rebook with OBC once you’re on board. Done this myself.
  11. Whats the snorkeling like there if we wanted to bring our masks and goof around a bit? And again, those pics are just incredible! 🙂
  12. We do both! That’s just us. Thanks for the pics! They are gorgeous!
  13. So my question on asking what is “permitted” (e.g. what is allowed, not who should and could and whether or not he is just a man or a gentlemen) is a ridiculous, defiant and a babyish refusal to conform to a dress code? Ouch. We are brand new to SS. Thanks for sharing the general attitude and thanks to those who took the time to answer the question. We have zero issues with jackets and due to having brain cancer, twice, my husband does run hot in layers. Which is why he might want to drape his coat on a chair during his meal if that was permitted. I hope it won’t spoil someone’s dinner.
  14. What a cutie! We also have a senior pup (13 year old Cairn terrier) and have hired an in home dog sitter so we can travel.
  15. Well we are more then sold! A cold beer in hand….
  16. It looks fabulous! Thanks for the real life pic TBK.
  17. Thanks! That works for us! looking to spend a couple of hours before/after another excursion. Is the beach pretty nice? The pics on the PG site are pretty spectacular .
  18. Hello, I recall reading some comments that the private PG beach on Bora Bora didn’t have many services like chairs and refreshments. I saw this on the PG site today where bar service is mentioned. Are drinks available there? Tenders running over on some frequency? Thank you!
  19. He might even twirl it around in the air a few times before placing it on the back of the chair. 🤣
  20. Are men permitted to remove their jackets during the meal and place on back of their dining chair? Thank you!
  21. Thank you for your review! We were supposed to take a similar itinerary on Regent but it was cancelled. Glad you got to go! We have our first SS cruise on the Spirit on 2024 and what I have quoted above has me concerned. Aside from geographical limitations, are you saying that each ship procures better than/worse than food/drink items as a matter of policy? And the Spirit falls on the bottom rung, by policy, confirmed by your enquiry with ships officers? I need my wrap my head around how one ship procures better offerings than another in the fleet.
  22. For Jost Van Dyke it’s easy. It’s a small island with about 300 full time residents. We are part time residents there. Unless you’re looking for a scuba or snorkel excursion, no need to book anything. Take a taxi to White Bay ($5/pp/each way) from the tender dock and enjoy the array of lovely beach bars and the beautiful beach. Soggy Dollar Bar, Gertrude’s, Coco Loco, Seddys and Ivan’s. Wonderful food and drink! Have a painkiller! Or walk over to Foxys Bar in Great Harbour from the tender dock and hit up some of the bars along the way. Not much of a swimming beach in Great Harbour. if you’d like to taxi to the other side of the island to see the Bubbly Pool ( where the Caribbean and Atlantic converge into a bubbly swimming hole), it’s $25/pp/each way. This is a picture I took a couple of weeks ago of white bay. Happy to help with any other questions.
  23. The butter garlic or stew conch is excellent too. When we did 4-days of quarantine on Jost (during COVID) Olga cooked and delivered dinner every day. She is a fabulous cook and amazing person.
  24. @ciaoYacht Just thought about this pic I took week before last that gives a good vantage of the hike and lay of the land in white bay. the red circle is where you’ll end up on the hike and you’ll see the road up just to the left. The yellow circle is the “goat path” over to Ivan’s Stress Free Bar.
  25. My kind of hike is up and down white bay beach hitting the bars 🙂 Everyone goes to Soggy Dollar to check it off the list but Gertrude’s will let you pour your own; Olga (the star hostess extraordinaire) hands you a bottle of rum, painkiller mix and nutmeg to grate onto your drink. She makes excellent Roti as well. Coco Loco is wonderful as is Seddys (Camille is a great bartender) and “hike” over the rocks down to Ivan’s Stress Free Bar. If you want an actual hike, you can walk about 100yards behind Gertrude’s/Soggy and turn left at the Perfect Pineapple Inn and hike the steep road up to the very top of the hill for an amazing panoramic view of white bay. The pin is Soggy Dollar and that is where all of the taxis drop off. The blue line is the road to hike up to the top of the hill. Happy to answer any other questions!
