  1. I call the the CVP 800 number (1-800-901-1172), not the regular Princess 800 number. In fact, my CVP tells me to do that in her voice message if I am trying to book a cruise.
  2. Suggested time for arrival is sort of like guidelines for formal night
  3. Glad to hear. We start a B2B2B2B2B on Thursday. Different cabin each segment. Fortunately, all are fairly close to each other except the first cabin.
  4. I kind of like the idea of the cruise line providing the resources to the best of its ability so that each person can enjoy their cruise in their own way without negatively impacting others. In other words, if people want to download movies or other uses of the internet I support increasing capacity vice telling them how to enjoy their cruise.
  5. We are boarding Discovery 2/16. Hopefully, they will know what goes into effect on 2/20.
  6. I'm going to try on my upcoming cruise on February 20. From the FAQ: Can I purchase Princess Plus or Princess Premier when I’m on board? Yes. Princess Plus and Princess Premier will be available to purchase on board beginning with voyages sailing 2/20/23 and beyond. You may purchase a package on the first day of your voyage.
  7. i agree. I think it is a subject that should not be discussed on the internet.
  8. Still better than what we get on the other cruise lines we sail on.
  9. I'll know for sure on February 20. In the meantime I could try a trial membership. https://www.xponential.plus/ Maybe they would honor that while on board.
  10. I have the new Plus Package on an upcoming cruise. At the bottom of the Onboard Services page on my Personalizer it lists Fitness Classes (2 classes) at $39.35.
  11. We will be on Discovery Princess from February 16 to March 18 - B2B2B2B2B. Looking forward to YogaSix and StretchLab. Looks like TRX won't be offered.
  12. There is required and suggested information. Picking an arrival group is under suggested. I'll arrive when I arrive.
  13. This is the definition I was referring to "the enjoyment of what appears to be painful or tiresome."
  14. Reading a thread such as this is an exercise in masochism.
  15. From my experience, entertainment is another that NCL does better than Princess though that may change as NCL is cutting back on production shows.
  16. No. Recently finished sailing on a 15 day Panama Canal cruise on the NCL Joy.. Had dinner once early in the cruise in the Manhattan dining room (main). Noticed quite a few people wearing shorts. Most of our dinners were in the smaller Savoy and Taste dining rooms. Don't recall seeing shorts, but might have been. What did stand out was not ever having to wait very long to be seated and the excellent service. We always asked for table for two by a window. If they couldn't seat us in a table for two, it would be a table for four with the second setting cleared, Relatively few bench seating and never asked if we would like to share. If window seating wasn't available, an effort was made for next best. We have done a lot of cruises on both Princess and NCL. In my opinion the dining experience is one area where NCL excels compared to Princess. Of course, Princess excels in quite a few other areas.
  17. Here us a dress code I would like to see Princess adopt. https://lifewellcruised.com/what-to-wear-on-a-norwegian-cruise/
  18. Here is one way. https://www.visitbarbados.org/your-stay/personalised-services/accessibility-services?pageindex=1
  19. I booked one of the last two available cabins today. I'm more concerned about teem than I am theme. teem be full of or swarming with.
  20. Are you sure they weren't staring at you for some other reason?
  21. Maybe this. I can't believe I spent over 5 minutes just to hear she "has heard a rumor."
  22. Yes. Last August, on the night before departure from the Enchanted Princess, my wife tested positive for Covid. We were told to isolate in our cabin and then spent 5 days isolating at a hotel near Heathrow Airport at Princess expense. Since we couldn't fly to the US for 10 days, we spent another 5 days at hotels near London at our expense. We submitted a trip delay claim for those hotels to AON, which was recently paid. We also submitted a meal allowance claim to Princess for 10 days. After not having a response to several e-mails sent to Princess Customer Service, I asked my CVP to look into it. Yesterday, I got a call from Princess that I would be getting a check for the entire amount of my meal allowance claim. Also got OBC and a specialty dinner for our troubles. That's my CVP advantage story.
  23. Been doing that for quite a while in the comfort of my cabin by playing a few hands of blackjack on the TV. However, I noticed the details of my next cruise say "Credit must be used on the single voyage that it was awarded in connection with, is not redeemable for cash, cannot be used in the casino, is not applicable during the land portion of cruisetours, and expires at the end of that voyage." I don't know if that is new or it has always had that caveat in the fine print.
  24. Good luck. I've been sending generic e-mail to customerrelations@princesscruises.com regarding my important issue once or twice a month since last August with no response. Recently, my CVP has been looking into it for me. Hopefully, she will fair better than I have.
  25. Our solution has been to Princess’s benefit. Older ships we book mini suites, newer we book deluxe balconies (obstructed).
