When you say the World Class Bar often wasn't open, do you mean during posted hours? It's usually only open in the evenings until late. It's my favourite watering hole by far!

They don't offer discounts on board anymore? We've always been offered at least 30% off to go on a port day.

We did one Oceania and made a list of pros and cons. Overall we decided to stick to Celebrity. O has much nicer included drinks on their drinks package and you can get them via room service, too. The food is better as well but if you keep an odd schedule there are times when nothing is available but room service. Also, while the quality is better, the selection is smaller because fewer passengers. There are not nearly as many activities on O, so you'll mostly be eating and relaxing, maybe gambling in the very small casino. You run into the same passengers over and over which is great if you like to socialize. Everything is open seating. There is a lot more wave movement, if you get seasick easily. You'll have to consider what is important to you and go from there.

I'm confused; Why not just book the one day of hotel in Vancouver to satisfy the requirements and still do the cruises? If I had know it was that simple I might have done that myself instead of just skipping Alaska.

I would call your MP's office and see if they can help. Sometimes they can with situations like this.

We had originally wanted to book an Alaskan week on Solstice, followed by B2B on the Millennium (before the ship redeployment) and there was some discussion between Celebrity and our TA about that and if it was a legal itinerary. The consensus was that since we changed ships, it would have been legal, but it had been enough hassle that we decided just to book Sept 16 and Sept 22 on Millennium instead. When the ships redeployed, I was so grateful we hadn't booked that week on Solstice because then it would indeed have become a PVSA violation.

Unfortunately this is not true for everyone. I am triple vaxxed and caught covid from my son, and was very sick even with the antiviral, and I'm in my 30s. Not all cases are mild.

Depends how much food you're ordering. For one plate and coffee, I think $2-$3 is appropriate.

Are the third/fourth rates that much lower right now than 1st/2nd? In my experience they aren't lately. Have you considered two connecting cabins? You can just treat it like one room with two bedrooms, and then everyone has a bed,

Frustrated- I saw a price drop and then saw that the same cabin I'm in on my B2B was available to upgrade into so I got excited! Then I saw it was cruise only rate and the AI rate was still more than I want to pay to upgrade (small discount since yesterday). Sigh.

When did they start charging for a second main in the specialty restaurants? I haven't been aboard since 2018 with covid and all but there was never a charge before. I couldn't eat a second main but I have family members who did and weren't charged. I often order a second app.

You could be assigned an obstructed veranda. That's part of a Move Up- you can't pick your specific category or specific cabin. If you aren't comfortable with that, I'd book the cabin you want specifically.

We had a Nintendo DS and games stolen by the pool once. Celebrity wasn't going to assist us until we made a fuss here on Cruise Critic. Then miraculously, security was able to locate our items. I would not leave items unattended anymore.

4 in a cabin may not be much cheaper than two cabins anyway. Always check the fares.

I was looking in the cruise planner but it only seems to have the price to purchase internet and not to upgrade. We already have AI so I was wondering what the difference would be. Is there a discount for Elite members as well? Thanks!

Can you please post if you get your photo package back and how you did that? Because I had them booked as well.
