  1. See you on board. We've added the Caribbean cruise afterwards for a B2B.
  2. Thanks for all of your posts, Flossie! Bill and I are jealous were aren't aboard with you and your DH. I agree...Navigator's destination team, led by Luke, is the best in the Regent fleet. Please raise a glass at Stars Lounge on our behalf. And we hope your good weather holds up.
  3. We generally wear a blazer and sometimes with a tie on "formal optional" evenings.
  4. Thanks for taking us along and for your honest feedback. If Regent is ever has a cancellation, you could volunteer your services as a standup comic.
  5. Thanks to both of you for sharing your trip with us. It's great to hear your honest feedback. And entertaining stories. I hope your transition to homelife isn't too jarring.
  6. I submitted my shareholder benefit request on September 21 for our Grandeur August 24, 2024 cruise. Heard back from Regent via email that they'd applied it to my account on September 26.
  7. OOPS! That is hilarious. Thanks for pointing out my mistake. What's 11 years or so?
  8. So happy they posted this video, which features all of the work that goes into a dry dock. And celebrates the unsung heros who make it happen. Little Navigator is refreshed and ready to go! Here's a press release outlining some of the improvements made during drydock. https://www.rssc.com/news/details?newsid=2766
  9. I'm looking forward to joining you on your cruise. This live report is a real bonus. A duet! Thanks for all of your posts. We will live vicariously through you two!
  10. Can't wait for the juicy updates. I know these live feeds are time consuming and thanks in advance for taking us along on your cruise. Be on the lookout for Jim and Jane Stoddard, who are on the Grand Voyage on Splendor. He's famous for his hilarious postings on Facebook.
  11. Last month on Navigator, our steward told us that because of the increased volume of (included) laundry, it was best to bag the laundry before dinner, call for it to be picked up, and it would be returned the following evening. Sometimes earlier, but it was always returned the next evening.
  12. I agree. In the beginning of my "cruise career", I was diligent about posting a detailed review on Cruise Critic. I probably still should. But I've been so happy with my most recent Regent experiences, it's something I forget to do...outta sight outta mind.
  13. Back to the OP's question on airlines Regent uses, we have used Regent Air to fly out of Dulles a couple of times; on Lufthansa (Nice) and Qatar (Sydney). When we flew out of National (DCA) to Alaska it was on Air Canada. I'm not sure who the contract with other than these. Hope this helps.
  14. Generallly, the Destinations Team tries to keep busses at 70-80 percent maximum. I say "generally" because I have been on a full bus or two in my 100+ days with Regent. But I have also been on busses that were filled 50 percent or less.
  15. Hi Bill! We were on Navigator Aug. 8-28, 2023 in cabin 920. I went to make a review but I did a review of the same cabin in 2020! 😮 She was in excellent condition and I'd say exactly the same things, but not sure how to proceed. Perhaps update the date of the review? I always look and wonder if a review is "stale" and may be different now. Thanks again for all of your efforts to make cruising a awesome expereience. This spreadsheet takes some of the anxiety out of the equation when picking cabin locations. It's an awesome resource. John
  16. So happy to see you had the best berth in Cadiz! I always get a bit jealous when I our RSSC ship is in the C-list berthing spot. Note that the Compass Rose menu includes "Galician Style cod," a recent effort by Regent to include more local offerings to reflect the ship's destinations. We noticed this at the end of our Asian cruise in March and our recent Copenhagen-Amsterdam cruise. A welcome and ambitious change. Thanks for the photos and details. Sea days should bring some relaxation, but not good wifi. 🙂
  17. Enjoying your posts and thanks for sharing your experiences. It's great to hear your candid observations.
  18. For a ship about to go into dry dock, Navigator is in very good shape. The crew keeps the interior well maintained, no scuff marks, peeling wallpaper, etc. We enjoyed our trip—excellent food and an awesome crew. And glad we got to meet Flossie & Co. in person!
  19. Enjoyed your good company and my first taste of Haggis, which was surprisingly good. A challenge, I’ll bet, for the Regent chefs. Thanks for all you do for the CC community @flossie009
  20. Thanks, all, for the helpful info. Feel much better prepared.
  21. Sad to miss a full day in Edinburgh and we had independent tickets to Tattoo, so we are disappointed, indeed. But the staff is pulling together more events, games, speakers, officer’s challenge, dance class and another headline act for tonight. And they had the new schedule delivered to suites an hour after the Captain’s initial announcement. That destinations team must be pulling their hair out. And I know the 71 folks on the Grand Voyage are especially sad to miss their VIP event at the Tattoo. Well, at least it’s sunny and 64 degrees. Think I’ll go for a walk on the deck.
  22. Does anyone know if it is easy to hail a taxi at the port in Amsterdam? We are staying on for a couple of days at the end of our cruise (not a Regent package) and staying at the Renaissance. Thanks!
  23. We used Luggage Forward because it was included on the Grand Asia Exploration this past February. Like you, We were a bit apprehensive but all went flawlessly. When in doubt, call their customer service line. They are extremely helpful. It’s an awesome service. Wish we could afford it more often.
  24. We were on Explorer in March of this year and the pool grill was closed in the evening for the entire cruise. EXCEPT when in Singapore there were many night tours and long lines at passport control. The ship's management announced in the morning that the pool grill would be open until 9pm for those excursions that came in late. I think they do have some discretion and certainly use it -- Particularly when arriving late into a port and it pushes back excursion departure/return times.
