  1. Not sure why anyone in this thread assumed any meaningful amount or question would be answered given the context.
  2. Enchantment was an oddball like till late last year - not sure if it's still available at those times now.
  3. Bring the latter. If any staff on Ovation ever punched the card, it was a very rare event.
  4. Yes, RCI modifies inventory on its ships all the time for various reasons. What you see online can be caused by several things (one of which was posted above) - you'll just have to wait to see if this is temporary or something else.
  5. The F&F flier updated this week - they seem to be concentrating on the NE ports: RCI Travel Agent Reduced Rates.xls - Compatibility Mode (rccl.com)
  6. Welcome to the Diamond Lounge from more than 5 years ago. Same with the waterpark at CocoCay - there are reports of really long lines, likely because too many passes were sold. Of course one can look at it as a conspiracy (they are doing it on purpose), simple RCI IT incompetence (like overbooking a sailing) or some other reason.
  7. Yes, you load the OBC to the slot machine and then cash out.
  8. Don't take any chances - cash out via the casino slot machine as recommended above.
  9. Unlikely it will be removed, though they did remove a similar (though much smaller) venue on Enchantment.
  10. No and it doesn't even have to be full. Most folks who buy UDP assume they can get some "reasonable" times in the venues - if one is a somewhat early diner and nothing is available but 9PM it might as well be full. We have had reports of folks cancelling UDP on board due to lack of booking times.
  11. That (the discount amount) very much depends on demand that night -very difficult to know ahead of time.
  12. The chances of getting a call like the OP are very low. The chances of being demoted without any communications is a bit better but still low.
  13. Welcome to CC. Don't buy the coffee card till you get on board (same price as in the planner) and ask the barista how many punches per the drink you usually have - then do some simple math to see if it saves you any money. Most of the time the Key only makes sense (financially) when the price is close (within $1-2) of a Voom (internet) package. The rest of the Key perks have quite a subjective personal value.
  14. This may peel away some RCI/Spectrum customers: " Disney Cruise Line plans to deploy the former Genting Hong Kong newbuild Global Dream, which it acquired and is going to complete, in Singapore, starting in 2025. The 208,000gt ship is planned to be finished at MV Werften, under the management of Meyer Werft, to carry approximately 6,000 passengers and 2,300 crew. It will be renamed and is expected to be among the first cruise ships powered by green methanol. Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, and S. Iswaran, Singapore’s minister for transport and minister-in-charge of trade relations, announced the news in Singapore today. 'We are incredibly excited to make Singapore the home port to our seventh-launched ship, which will sail from here year-round starting in 2025,' D’Amaro said. Five-year agreement Under a memorandum of understanding, Disney Cruise Line and Singapore Tourism Board agreed to collaborate to homeport the ship exclusively in Singapore for at least five years. More details about the maiden voyage, itineraries and onboard experiences will be announced at a later date. 'This is an important milestone for STB and reflects Disney Cruise Line’s strong confidence in Singapore and Southeast Asia,' said Keith Tan, chief executive, Singapore Tourism Board. 'The new Disney cruise ship will be an attraction itself and is expected to boost the tourism sector in Singapore for many years to come.' Economic impact The addition of the Disney ship has the potential to add millions of local and foreign cruise passengers across the five-year period, including fly-cruise passengers who arrive in Singapore by air. It also is expected to bring about significant spillover benefits for the wider economy. These include greater demand for port and ship-related services, as well as on-ground spending in Singapore for the lifestyle and hospitality sectors. The ship is planned to feature innovative Disney experiences along with the entertainment, world-class dining and guest service that distinguish the Disney brand. Its occupancy will be reduced from the 9,000-passenger capacity planned by Genting HK for the Asian family market with many four-berth cabins. There will be dedicated spaces and activities for passengers of all ages and characters such as Capt. Mickey Mouse and Capt. Minnie Mouse, Disney princesses, Marvel super heroes and more. 15. Probably not unless you work out something with the bartender to buy just the shot of alcohol in it.
  16. A couple of other explanations besides those two: RCI IT issues or they temporarily suspended their sale - keep checking the planner to see if it comes back.
  17. Read the context: but few care (unless they want to post whore some more) since they only care about 2 - it's not always about you. BTW, nothing wrong with post whoring, happens a lot on CC - it just is. Biker, who has left most post whoring behind and typically only answer questions now.
  18. With most issues with RCI there are three possibilities: 1. Actual policy 2. What happens most of the time 3. Exceptions Folks can argue till blue in the face on some of these threads (as evidenced in this one) but the majority of folks only really care about item 2 above. You can be right about 1, but few care (unless they want to post whore some more) since they only care about 2 (unless 3 happens often enough).
  19. Welcome to CC. No, just go when you get there. Booking shows should not be an issue. You can share the internet package with anyone. Popularity or lack thereof on CC does not say anything about the ship.
  20. Self service has nothing to do with it - 18% is also added to Bionic bar drinks where there's no bartender at all. BTW, on the ships that do have them (not all do), use of Freestyle machine may not be the main way most folks get their sodas - it's usually at some bar/venue with a person involved.
