  1. As soon thereafter: Just as cruises are resuming in Australia, a COVID-19 outbreak aboard Coral Princess has prompted Princess Cruises to offer refunds to passengers on the ship’s next sailing. The cruise is not canceled, however, and a variety of mitigation measures are in place to protect both passengers and crew members. Outbreak on Coral Princess The 91,627-gross-ton Coral Princess, which just resumed sailings from Brisbane in mid-June, has reported approximately 100 cases of COVID-19 among crew members, with fewer than 20 guest cases as part of that total. The outbreak occurred on the July 3, 7-night round trip sailing from Brisbane, which visited Airlie Beach, Cairns, Port Douglas, and Willis Island, before returning to Brisbane on Sunday, July 10. Minister of Health and Ambulance Services Yvette D’Ath has commented on the situation. “There were protocols put in place as to what would occur if there was an outbreak and we are seeing an outbreak,” she said. “Some of those passengers are being removed, they have chosen to isolate either home or in other accommodation and we’ve supported them in doing that.” Outbreak on Princess Cruise Ship in Australia, Refunds Offered (cruisehive.com) Biker, who wonders if RCI will be as generous when they resume sailing.
  2. Yes - you just need to show proof of stock ownership when you apply for the OBC (doesn't matter when you bought it).
  3. That may stay in there because it mentions that it can't be used in lieu of vax card.
  4. Welcome to CC. It is very likely there won't be any testing requirement for most non-US departures after next month. Wait for confirmation before worrying about any testing needs.
  5. Compensation for missing any port usually doesn't depend on anything but the diff in cost between the time booked and the date of the miss.
  6. The port charges at RCI private destinations don't depend on ownership - they are set by the country/port. Curacao charges are likely less than Bahamas.
  7. What makes sense to you doesn't mesh with the reality of RCI IT.
  8. Ask the agent to get you the RCI invoice - that should specify it.
  9. Typically, 75 days or less from sailing. You probably have a XN (as opposed to XB) GTY booking which means you'll very likely get a neighborhood balcony.
  10. That is a different thing - that’s the health questionnaire that opens at 24 hours out.
  11. There should be a check mark next to each portion of the process.
  12. That is probably the furthest out win ever reported here.
  13. Usually you need to wait till a few hours before sailing to view them to get credit.
  14. Folks have canceled dining packages when they couldn’t get the times they wanted once on board- go to any specialty venue to book.
  15. Look at the Sky class suite benefits on the RCI site.
  16. We are only talking about the package itself- if you have other perks, you have to add those to the equation.
  17. You will still need the soda package - cancel the Wi-Fi as you will get that with your cabin.
  18. Someone may want to quarantine and get a pro rated refund.
  19. The math is usually per person- things might get more complicated if you try to figure it out for more people.
