  1. Follow the 2026-27 deployment thread later this summer - it will be discussed there.
  2. Other than perhaps a repo, any sailing which has a price under $50pppd is likely an error.
  3. Functionally, none. Both can use two devices at the same time. The two one device packages will have different logins (and likely will be more expensive), the one two devices package will have the same login.
  4. It's usually about $28 for a 24 hour period. You should have local cell access in every port. You can use a one device package on as many devices as you want, just one at a time.
  5. Regardless of how many points they have, until 18, they'll have your status.
  6. Many times, once a thread goes off the front page of the RCI section (easy for a thread posted during off hours in the US), it is rarely seen my most, so it's not a matter of an immediate, but perhaps no answer. If would be a good idea to get the app.
  7. Like the wine allowance, the C&A discount for wine is fixed for all sailings.
  8. The Chicago version of Young Sheldon - though in an "easier" field of study.
  9. So, @twangster, does she have that new car smell?
  10. For most things in the planner, booking them is a per person process, regardless if they are linked to others.
  11. Apparently, even having too many people in a whirlpool is a CDC violation - from the recently failed Margaritaville at Sea CDC inspection: For example, the report notes “on several occasions, up to six bathers were noted in each whirlpool. Each whirlpool is designed to have a maximum bather load of 4 persons.” The associated recommendation is to “ensure the maximum passenger bather load number is not exceeded, so the proper halogen and pH values are not adversely affected.” Margaritaville at Sea Cruise Ship Fails CDC Inspection (cruisehive.com)
  12. It makes perfect sense if one tries to enforce it.
  13. The app, set to the current sailing, should list the operating hours of dining venues. BTW, if you want replies, it usually works better to resurrect threads during working hours on US East Coast time.
  14. That has been the normal itinerary for O and Q class 7 or 8 day sailings from Cape Liberty.
  15. Yes, that is almost expected - RCI IT can't do calendar math very well. When available, the planner check in date seems to be accurate.
  16. "Royal Caribbean International’s Utopia of the Seas has not yet officially joined the cruise line, but has already successfully had her first medical evacuation. The incident occurred during the ship’s sea trials, which have just concluded in the Bay of Biscay off western France. On Saturday, May 11, 2024, the ship reported an injured person onboard while the vessel was eight nautical miles (9 miles / 15 kilometers) off the coast of Belle-Île, at 4:21 p.m. The small island is located in the northern part of the Bay of Biscay due west of the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard, where Utopia of the Seas has been constructed. The injured individual was hoisted by helicopter and successfully transported to a hospital in Vannes, approximately 30 miles northeast of Belle-Île. The entire operation – from the first call to the successful evacuation – took just over two hours. The nature of the injury has not been disclosed, nor has the identity of the individual been revealed. Nearly 900 engineers, technicians, designers, officers, and crew were aboard Utopia of the Seas as part of her extensive sea trials testing. It is unknown whether or not the injury may have been directly related to any testing and no further updates on the person’s condition have been announced. Utopia of the Seas had begun her five extensive days of sea trials on Tuesday, May 7, and has since returned to the shipyard. The outcome of the testing is still being analyzed and has not yet been formally announced. Sea trials are an intensive period of final testing for any cruise ship. This is the first time a ship it taken into open waters, and all her critical systems – navigation, propulsion, maneuvering, emergency operations, etc. – are put through extreme tests to ensure full and complete operation. In total, Utopia of the Seas‘ sea trials covered more than 1,000 miles of sailing for all the various tests." First Evacuation for New Royal Caribbean Ship Before It Ever Debuts (cruisehive.com)
  17. Usually that's done on a TA site and those are not allowed to be mentioned on CC. The RCI site sorta has a price tracking feature ($ in the upper right of main page).
  18. Ovation splits her time between Australia and Alaska (and a Nov sailing eliminates Alaska). Also, there are no "sampler" sailings out of the US usually.
  19. The match in both directions should happen as soon as you reach the level - call C&A if it's not.
  20. Not odd - the assignment has not yet happened. The trick only works if there really was an assignment. Having it still as GTY is normal.
  21. As @Beeline Cruiser would say, seriously? CC rumors are the norm around here.
  22. Trying to figure out the why of anything RCI does just leads to frustration. It has been repeated many times on the RCI boards about this issue - book for two to get around the increased solo pricing issue and then if you want the extra C&A points for solo, change the booking to a solo later.
