  1. The times for the 3rd Sept cruise are showing on the app calendar: Morning 9am - 10:30am Afternoon 3:30pm -5pm I think it's sea days only, I didn't check right through the calendar as it's a pain!
  2. Speciality dining booked pre-cruise is always charged in advance these days. It deters people who used to book for multiple days then not show up to most of them, thus denying other passengers the chance to book. It's the same with excursions although with those you can use OBC. I don't think there is any way around the dining charge issue other than cancelling and waiting until you board to book. I'm not sure what happens re refunds if you cancel though.
  3. There are no paper boarding passes for Princess cruises any more. You just need to enter all your details into the Medallion app and select your boarding group once your cruise is 59 days or less away. The app shpuld go to Green Lane and show QR code. That is your boarding pass. If you have problems with the Medallion app you can enter most things through the web version in the Personalizer. Take a paper copy of your vaccination certificate though, it's easier.
  4. Us too! We have to slum it in an ordinary mini- suite for the first sector of our upcoming B2B cruise! 🤣🤣🤣 But we used to happily do some cruises in inside cabins and others in balcony cabins depending on itinerary and booking perks. But I want a minimum of a balcony cabin these days even if it means we have to cruise less often.
  5. But I suspect Princess would stick to the same rules as on USD ships for anyone who hadn't booked locally and thus had to pay the auto-grats. Illogical yes, but possible and hard to check actually what happens in that case.
  6. No worries but in case you still want to use the bus here's the timetable. https://www.metroinfo.co.nz/timetables/28-casebrook-lyttelton/
  7. Some people, like me, find that having the afternoon sun streaming onto the cabin windows can make the cabin uncomfortably warm for several hours and the next-to-useless cabin air-con on some ships takes ages to cool it down again. Closing curtains helps but not enough.
  8. Are you sure? I know on Princess ships operating in USD that if you removed the auto-grats then any cash tips given to crew had to be handed in. They were only allowed to keep them if you hadn't removed the auto-grats.
  9. I always think it's a bit silly that cruise lines don't upgrade cabins when a ship is sailing well below capacity. Especially insides or oceanviews to balconies, balconies to mini-suites. It doesn't cost them anything for those sorts of upgrades and could lead to future bookings in the higher grade of cabin.
  10. I've heard she has sprinkled her upgrade fairy dust over a few lucky people in the last month or so.
  11. You should be able to get dropped off in the city at the end of your tour but that may depend on the route the tour takes. I'd suggest getting a taxi or Uber back to the port after punting. According to the local fare calculator it should only cost about $35.
  12. Agreed. Good for short cruises but not for longer ones. We never bother with photos so that drops the value for us. We'll stick with just paying the difference for Premier wines occasionally.
  13. If they do drop them I don't think it would be until March/April at least ie after the peak season is over.
  14. I presume that's an Australian world cruise sector on Coral since you're expecting onboard costs in AUD?
  15. Make sure you note that your cruise is only three weeks away and that you have applied for the OBC twice already.
  16. Your onboard account will be in USD and charged at the end of your cruise. Request that it is charged to your credit card in USD not AUD otherwise you will get a very, very bad exchange rate ( Google Dynamic Currency Conversion). If possible use a credit card that doesn't charge foreign transaction fees.
  17. Both times I inserted the scan of the proof of shareholding into the document and had a result back within a week. Use the shareholderbenefit@carnivalaustralia.com email address, not the Princess one.
  18. Read the T&Cs about the package on the Princess website. It clearly states US$12 and AU$16. All the cocktails we drank on our last cruise, in June, were over $12 but not over $16. No exrta charges
  19. Just remember Princess Premier is a lot more than just an upgraded drinks package. It also includes a 4 device internet package, a photo package, speciality dining, and the door prize thingy. Make sure you want all that at a n extra $35pp per day. If you just want the higher value drinks you're better off staying with Plus and paying the difference between the Plus $16 maximum and the cost of the drink.
  20. Sinbad, try clearing your cache and see what happens then.
  21. We've been using one for several years. I picked up a second one a few years ago as a spare in case my original one dies.
