  1. We usually like having an oceanview balcony....enjoy watching the water and ports.

If we had to pick out of boardwalk or central park....I would pick boardwak and would have to get an end balcony closest to the aqua theater so we can get an awesome view of the ocean also.

I think central park would be very quite and nice to look at but I'm a type who needs to see the ocean while I'm on a cruise!!!!

  2. We live in Florida so hurricane season doesn't really bother us!!!...lol

We just sailed Oasis last Sept (21-27) and it was an awesome cruise!!!....There were 3 other ships at port in Bahamas...but St. Martin and St. Thomas we were the only ships in port that day!!! Very quite!

    Plus the weather was awesome!!!

We will def. plan another cruise during season!!!

  3. I'm jealous of your countdown because I want to go back.

I hope to share pics later this week once we're settled at home.

Headliner was mo5aic. They were pretty good!

We were on the western itinerary. I love Cozumel! Labs fee was a great beach day. In Falmouth we drank a couple Red Stripes in port then enjoyed pool time onboard.

It seems the countdown click is not moving!!! I so need a vacation!!

Mo5aic is a band? What kind of music? I wonder if they will be still on in 32 days?

We are doing the zipline and coaster in labadee can't wait!!

Where did u get the red stripes from? What's in them?

    Can't wait to see pics!!!

    Thanks!!

  4. We are going on the Allure in just 32 days! (who's counting?!) :D

I know that we can bring 2 bottles of wine on board, per stateroom. My mom and I typically share a 5 bottle wine package, but with this new policy, we can bring 4 bottles on board (2 for her and 2 for me as we are in different staterooms).

My question is.... we are flying into Fort Lauderdale the day we depart. I know the airport is not too far away from the port. Is there somewhere in between the two that we can stop in and buy our wine?

    Thanks in advance!

We will be on that same sailing!!!!!

And we are counting down also!!!!....Can't wait!

    Go on : abcfws.com or totalwine.com

  5. Hope you had a great time!!!!

I'll be on it in 33 days!!!...Can't wait.

Will you be posting any pics?

Who was the Headliner Show and what was it?

What ports did you go to?....and which were your favorites?

    Thanks!!!

  6. Activities:

We reserved the wave runner tour for me, Tom, Rob and Amanda for 11AM. Rob and Amanda had the Dragon’s Breath Flight Line at 2PM.

Wave-runners: The wave-runners are accessed at Buccaneer’s Bay. It is a short walk from Barefoot beach. When we arrived we checked in. We had taken this tour many years ago and really enjoyed it. Tom and Rob were driving and me and Amanda passengers. We purchased lanyards for our sunglasses. If you take this tour be sure you wear sunglasses and they have a lanyard. We got a locker for our stuff. You can go barefoot or wear beach shoes. No flip flops, obviously. We got our life jackets and all riders had a vest with straps for passenger to hold on to. And this turned out to be very necessary, more in a minute. We had a short safety briefing/ movie. There were 10 wave runners per tour, a lead and chase vehicle. We were asked our experience. Both my son and husband have ridden many times. We have a house at the Jersey shore and a boat and my husband and I have boating licenses. I am telling you this for context. They then asked for volunteers to be in front and explained the front machines go the fastest. My husband and another woman volunteered for front. I was fine with this since we have ridden before and as noted we are boaters. The woman had her own wave runner and was very experienced (reckless is more the word) and so we went second. My son was 5th. Before we left he explained that we were free to go “full throttle”. Hmmm…that is interesting I thought, a tour that allows riders with potentially little experience to go “full throttle”. But I thought this is tour, we really can’t be going “full throttle”…. I was wrong…We all pushed off from the dock and were given numbers to take off. And take off we did at break neck speed. We had to cross of rough area with big waves to get to a calm shore and I was screaming and crying the whole way. I thought I was going to fall off I was being thrown so much. I was scared for Rob and Amanda, since Amanda had never ridden. We were going so fast and at one point we even lost sight of our lead and the woman in front. When we caught up at the half way pause point, my husband asked to switch positions because I was so scared. Others people were also a bit upset. It seemed only the woman who has a wave runner and thought it so funny she fell off the previous week was having fun. We were put in position 5, but this was only slightly better. I have never been on a “full throttle tour” that was not billed as one. I wanted a nice sightseeing tour and what I got was a crazy, full throttle race. I don’t mind going fast, but not full throttle the whole time. So please be advised if you book this tour you will be going fast, very, very fast, scary fast. Amanda told us after the tour that she was really scared and the woman in front of them almost fell off. So while it was a somewhat cool experience and we got some great pictures I don’t think I would book this tour again.

Zipline: At 1:30PM Rob and Amanda went over to the zip line. It turns out that the weight limit was reduced to 160lbs because it was windy. Didn’t seem that windy to us, and even our attendant was surprised but apparently on the mountain it was windy. So my son could not go. Please be aware that they change the weight limit according to conditions and they are very careful about it being windy which it often is. At least they got to zip line on the ship : )

Do they give you a refund if it's too windy?

We already scheduled our time for our allure cruise next month.

    Thanks!!!

    Great review!

  7. We are going on the Allure in 39 days!!!

So I would say Allure.....because its a great ship!!! We were on Oasis 6 months ago and loved it.

But if you are looking for warmer weather you might want to go in March.

Jan. can be cold here in FL......Especially on the ship when sailing. The Ports will be around 77-81 degrees.

We were on a cruise a few years ago in Feb. and it was still kinda cool out.....the pools can be very cold.

But it's totally up to you!!! Either way you will have an awesome time!

  8. We had deck 6 on Oasis and loved the location. It was towards the back of the ship. The life boats do stick out a little but you still have an awesome view! Especially if you get a balcony between two life boats.

Love deck 6 it's in prime location. Especially in the back very close to boardwalk and MDR.

    Going on allure in April!!!

If you get the last rooms on deck 6 there are no boats below you either!

  9. It was awesome! We did it in sept on the oasis!

It was the Last tour of the criuse and they actually let us keep the lanyard and backstage pass as a souvenir!!!

It was 3 hours long and u had to wear pants and real shoes.

You went thru I-95, the bridge, control room, engine room, staff buffet area, staff exercise room, staff barbershop, laundry area, kitchen and heliport area!!!

Well worth the $150. And if you want to do it make sure to book the minute u get on the ship because they only take 60 people total. 15 people each tour!

Where do you reserve this? I would love to do it. Well worth $300 for dh and I! We are staying in a JS. Does that do anything?

Right when you get on board go right to guest services and have them put you on the list. Only 60 people total.

You might want to pick the finally tour available I think it's last day. You'll get to do your tour as slow as you like and no rush. Plus it's pretty awesome to get to go in a few of the storage coolers and see how much food and beverages are actually left on last day. They tell you that on first day everything is right to top of the ceiling and only enough room to walk thru cooler from front to back turned sideways!

    Very awesome tour!

Maybe they will let you keep your lanyard and backstage tour passes that you wear for the 3 hours as souvenirs!!!

  12. I would rather keep my 2003 Mitsubishi Eclypse Spyder convertable that I bought new in Aug 2002 and pay for my own cruises. My car is called PAID FOR!!! Still runs great, 145,000 miles on it. Will keep it until it falls apart.

I don't think I could stand 5 days of him say HUGEEEEEEE and we live in Ft Myers!!!

    Hey karena1:

From Naples here!! Tired of hearing hugggge here too. Lol

  13. Have a drink in the rising tide bar, and ask the bartender if you can buy the 'live the. Allure" book. It has some neat facts and figures and makes a great souvenir

Msw1023: what does that book look like? How much is it? Do you have pics of it?

Is the rising bar only place to get it?
