  1. Hello everyone!!

Going on Indy on Sunday and can't wait!!! Need this vacation very bad!!!

Is anybody currently still on Indy right now and on cruise critic now? Or has anybody just gotten off in the past week?

Just wondering about some info like: who's the CD, the headliners, other acts or shows?

How was the food and other info?

Are there any secret balconies? Anything on the ship that's a can't miss?

Thanks for the help. We are getting excited!!!!

  2. I was on this sailing and had a completely different experience. I can't say anything about the Diamond club as I am only Platinum but this was my 19th cruise and I have been sailing since the 1970's on Carnival, NCL, Princess, and of course RCCL. Matter of fact this was my 2nd time on IOS and both times were fantastic.

I was at the pool for hours on end and there were plenty of waiters asking me if I wanted a drink. I was even at the H20 pool and they were asking me there if I wanted anything.

We ate in the MDR 6 nights out of 7 and had some great meals. We do MTD so we were in the King Lear dining room. Most of the time I ordered two appetizers with no problem and on Lobster night our waiter asked us if we wanted another one. Had a fantastic dinner in Chops on the first night and got a 20% discount. Loved every bite of my meal and it is well worth the price.

I never experienced a rude server and my stateroom attendant was excellent. Matter of fact my friend ordered the Tiger Shrimp and she was having a hard time getting it out of the shell. The server saw this and came over and asked her if she wanted him to take them out of the shell.

I do agree that the drink prices are very expensive. A glass of wine was almost $11 and the frozen drinks were around $10. I originally was going to do the drink package but my friends don't drink much so I decided to spend my $250 OBC in other ways.

My only complaint is that the coffee is really bad in the MDR. I knew this from the last time I was on the ship so I bought my own flavored creamer but even with that it was not good.

I had a fantastic time and found the ship to be clean and everyone friendly. When I used to manage movie theaters I always told my employees that you are not going to be able to please every customer but as long as you please most of them you are doing a good job.

I hope those of you that will be sailing on IOS in the near future don't let negative reviews get to you. It really is a wonderful ship.

Thank you for the open and honest review....I understand there will be negatives to every cruise but it's also nice to hear the great reviews too. Not everyone will be happy...but any cruise is better than being at work for 9 hours a day!!!!!

Is there anything that is a don't miss on the ship? We will be on it in 3 1/2 days!!!!....can't wait!

    Thank you again!

  3. What about the movies on the deck? What were they showing?

Do you still have the daily show lists?

Was the Main Dining better than the buffet?

Were the pools packed every day? and were there alot of children on the ship?

Which deck were you on? How were the rooms?

Any info will be awesome!!!...Will be on it tomorrow.

  4. DH and I cruised on Victory Sept 1 and we loved it! Service was great, our room kept clean and ice bucket full, food was tasty (Pizza Pirate on Lido Aft is yummy, try the prosciutto!) and the Cheers program worked out well. Shows were fun (Vroom really stood out) and I lost money in the casino:mad:. Oh well, can't have everything.

The ports were fantastic, loved HMC, GT and spent a little time at Senor Frogs in Nassau (never been there before, very lively).

Unless something really bad happens like turbulent seas, nasty weather, no a/c in your cabin:eek:, I think every day on a cruise beats a day at work.

We will be on this ship this week and would also like to know what's wrong with it!!!

I thing going away and having a few drinks is better than being at work or at home doing nothing!....can't expect much for not paying much!!!

  5. I just got off on Sept 11th. The food was good on the Lido Deck and in the MDR. I'd never been to Sea Day Brunch in the MDR before. It was really good. Lots of items to choose from. The Mac n Cheese was great! So was the Steak and Eggs....I asked for my eggs to be scrambled with cheese. The prime rib, bourbon/honey chicken, lobster and ribs were good during dinner. Dinner buffet on the Lido deck is from 6:00-9:00. It was pretty good. We only ate from the Grill once or twice (not really into burgers and hotdogs). The family and adult comedy shows were funny. Get to the adult comedy shows 30 minutes early. It was packed and had limited seating. The game shows in the theatre were fun. The trivia games on deck 5/midship were a bust. Don't waste your time! There's an adult's only pool and hot tub at the rear of the Lido deck that was never packed. That's where we spent most of our time. Its an older ship but we had a really nice time!

Thanks again for all your help!!!

Anything else you can share about the ship?

  6. Just wondering if anybody has just gotten off Victory?

I'm curious on how it was and if you could tell me some info. on the entertainment?...Also what movies were playing outside on the big screen at night?

How was the MDR room?....Any menus?

Also does anybody have the Daily activity sheets from each day?

Any info. would be awesome!!!...We have less than 2 weeks!!! Need a vacation really bad!!!!

    Thanks again!!!

    :)

  7. I just got another price drop for my cruise. Final payment is due on Thursday. I can't believe I have a balcony cruise 8B 5 nights going to great ports for 329 pp. Wow, what a great deal.

I just made final payment so I will check again over hte next 2 days and maybe I"ll even get some OBC!

How do you get a price drop?

Does it just happen or you have to call?

I've had my final payment done for a month now.
