104 days away from saying we do!!👰🤵We are SO excited for this cruise. It will be our 5th cruise together...3rd on the Pride. Our families are joining us and together we have 6 staterooms booked.

It has been SOO overwhelmingly nerve wracking not knowing if this will actually happen...I guess I'm looking for some reassurance? Anyone else out there have a cruise wedding booked that hasn't been cancelled yet? How are you dealing with the "not knowing"?? I am so anxious for August to get here, waiting to see how the first few sailings of the ships down south go over... and hoping that Baltimore will open before our September 20th date! (oh and Bermuda so that we can actually cruise to our destination!)

Also curious about other on board cruise weddings...specifically embarkation day weddings(better yet if it was on the Pride!)...I'm excited to meet my personal wedding coordinator, she's been fantastic the few times I've reached out to her. Just wondering what a general timeline of our big day might be like...we'll have about a group of 30+ attending, and 10+ staying on board to cruise with us.

How easy is it for non sailing guests to board and leave once the ceremony is over? Any advice from a non sailing wedding guest that would come in handy for my non sailing guests? And best yet, any advice from an embarkation cruise bride or groom that would come in handy for us on our wedding day!

1st time poster...I'm looking forward to reading all the replies, thanks so much!😊🚢 ....edit, I accidentally posted this is the main carnival cruise board first...oops! someone commented with the link to the weddings board so now I'm here!😊

    Hello again!

Did you wedding get cancelled?  Ours did for the 2nd time!  It sucks so much and it's not like we can cancel it because we would lose about $1000. the rest of the money would be refunded but not that amount which was for the Bahamas wedding license.

Hopefully the 3rd time is a charm....but we will see.  This Corona crap is killing the industry big time!

  2. Yes it’s very crazy times.

Im hoping we won’t have to change it until April because that one is an 8 day that many people won’t be able to go on with us.

It’s extremely hard because the first one was a 4 night with us getting married out to sea on the 3rd day and her and I were staying on board (b2b) for the next 5 nights.

This is one in August is a 5 night with the wedding on the 3rd day.  We are also staying on (b2b) with the second part (honeymoon) is only a 4 night. We are moving from a balcony on the wedding 5 night to a junior suite for the 4 nights. Luckily I was able to get the 2 rooms right next door to each other. So but a big move!

im praying for both of our weddings will go off without a problem!!! Best of luck!

  3. Hello!

my fiancé and I were booked to get married on April 22 on the independence of the seas and that was canceled by RCCL. Luckily we were able to move the date and now it’s for August 24 on the same ship. I’m praying it will not get canceled again!!!!   If it does we have another cruise booked for April aboard the new odyssey of the seas.

Its so stressful and we lost money on personalized items for the canceled April wedding. So now we are waiting until the end of July to order anything else!

  4. I had to do the same exact thing for our next cruise....luckily it was only a $200 Deposit for the room.

Try being out money for a wedding you were supposed to have on a cruise that was leaving this Thursday!....having to cancel all your wedding plans and lose money on personalized items for the wedding!....that cost is a lot more than my deposit.

The last thing I am going to ***** about is putting $200 down for another cruise that I am going on in the future!....because I know the $200 I put down on my canceled cruise will be going as a FCC in my new cruise and I will be getting an additional 25% from that too.....it's ALL GOOD!

  5. It's a bad deal all around.

I'm sitting here waiting to see if our B2B cruises are canceled next month or not.  If it doesn't get canceled we will have to decide what we do before the 48 hours (have to think about the multiple other cabins and friends and family that are going also)!  I agree with everyone also...ALWAYS buy the insurance because it could help when you need it the most!

If I decide to cancel and not rebook we will lose about $900 because of licensing fees that we paid to get married on the ship that we can't get back from the Bahamas Government.  We are not seniors and I need that money just as much as anyone....since we could use it for something else also!....Age shouldn't be the factor or even brought up about how some company is "treating" people...they are doing the best they can with what they have to deal with in a tough situation!

It is what it is!  Be more worried about losing your life from this and not just some $$$.

    Hi thjeepster.

I saw in your other post you have booked a ship wedding through Royal Celebrations for late April. Are you going ahead or have you already contacted them about postponing the date or cancelling all together and requesting a refund?

We are in a similar situation... We have booked a legal at-sea wedding through Royal Celebrations for our cruise on the Ovation departing on 23 March. Obviously our cruise will not go ahead now due to the RCI global shutdown.

Just wondering if Royal Celebrations allow you to move your wedding date or agree to a refund for the money paid? I am hoping Royal Celebrations follows RCI in issuing refunds. Our total wedding package from Royal Celebrations is about $3,700 so we will be out of pocket for quite a bit of money if they won't refund us.

    Hello Ticky

I'm waiting right now to see if Royal cancels the cruise and that way I can reschedule for another date down the line.

You should contact Royal Celebrations directly and see what they will do.  I believe if your cruise was canceled they will refund the price back to you minus licensing fees.  Let me know what you find out!

  7. It might be easier if the cruise line cancels the cruises for everyone for 60 days...that way we don't have to decide what we should do!

My fiancé and I are supposed to get married on the 26th of April on board and we are still thinking about what we should do.  It's hard because our decision affects the people coming on the ship with us.

If Royal cancels we have no choice!  Plus maybe they will give full refunds and % towards another cruise.  Plus we have money wrapped up with the wedding thru royal celebrations and they will move it to another date but the money for the marriage licensing will not be refunded and if we don't move to another date we lose $900.

    Stressful times!

  8. This is very good to know but I don't know what to do now!...We are booked an April 25th Cruise and paid a lot extra to get married on the ship thru Royal Celebrations....I don't know if they will follow the same guidelines.

I don't really want to change the date since we already have everything set....with all the wedding stuff, Items with the date on them, guests already booked also.

This is so overwhelming and stressful!

  9. Hello!

How you have an amazing cruise! We will be following!!!

We will be on Indy in 49 days for a B2B (4 then 5 nights)…..first cruise (we have a spacious ocean view) on last day we are getting married and have 10 guests coming with us for it.....second cruise (junior suite) is our honeymoon....

Would love to see your cruise compasses when you return!!!

    Enjoy!!!

Aha.  I see.  As you can see I know nothing about this. I wonder is advisable to go down or up?  Or do they decide for you when you enter your actual measurements?  We are contemplating doing the rental. Not 100% yet committed though.

    I'm a 35/36 so I'll probably go with the 34.

I need to rent one and do it in the next couple weeks because if I don't and wait I probably won't have a tux for the cruise and if I mess up the wedding on the ship my fiancé will kill me! lol

That was waist size. Inseam options were normal.  The waist options are 28, 31, 34, 37, 40, 43, etc. Is that normal for tuxedos?  I can't remember since the last time we did it what the options were.

From what I am seeing online they are adjustable pants and go between 3 sizes each.

We are leaving for a 5 night on March 7th! We have port stops of Labadee, Haiti and Falmouth, Jamaica. Celebrating  my 40th birthday!

We are doing the 4-night and 5-night B2B.

But our 5-night is Cozumel and Grand Cayman.  But I would still love to see the Cruise Compasses and pics you post!!

Happy 40th B-day and enjoy your cruise!!!

We are getting married on the 4-night and honeymoon on the 5.
