  1. Good Morning Everyone!

Had a few questions regarding my B2B cruises in April aboard Indy.

How do they know that we will be staying on the ship for the second cruise?  Do we have to link them some how?

We will be in different cabins for both....first one we are in the front with a window ocean view on the 9th floor and the second we go to a JS in the middle also on the 9th floor.

When I asked someone on the phone at RC they first told me we will need to pack our bags/luggage and leave them out in the hall the night before and then we will need to get off the ship and get our luggage and go back thru security.  When I questioned her about this...she put me on hold and after 5 mins came back and said that we don't need to put our luggage outside the room the night before but on the morning of departure (first cruise) we would need to call down to Guest Services to have someone come move them to the new room but we would still need to get off the ship and go back thru security.

I'm so confused now!!!!  What is the right way?

Please help!  Never done a B2B before!

We don't usually do door decorations, but we're taking my MIL on her first cruise in a couple weeks. I ordered this. We also got matching shirts for embarkation day.

where did you get the matching shirts from?  We are looking to do cheap ones for our wedding in April on Indy.

    Thanks for the help!

I have no inside information on the Activity Managers.  I get information from cruisers and if a cruiser asks them how long their contract that they are on is currently for.  Sorry I can't be more specific, but it is the case.  There was a time, when I was connected to many of the Activity Managers on FB....sometimes they would tell me their schedules, sometimes they would not share it.  It has become more difficult to get information (Royal will NOT share it with me) so cruisers are my best resource.

Time will tell and when I know I will put it in the thread.

    thanks for the info!

I will keep an open ear on this topic!!!

    thanks again!

We are doing 5 day with stops in Grand Cayman and Cozumel on the first leg then 5 day with stops in Falmouth and Labadee on the 2nd leg. Not thrilled about Falmouth but love Grand Cayman and  Labadee. I actually don't mind where we sail. I just love being on the ship and away from work 😀. I would be happy on a cruise to nowhere.

I'm right there with you!!  I wouldn't mind a cruise to nowhere also!  I'm hoping to find a cruise compass for the 5-day Grand Cayman and Cozumel because we are trying to semi-plan it all out.

    I wish ours was 2 5-days!!!..that would be even better, but I guess a 4 & 5 isn't too bad either!

Thanks all my planner confirmed to get the letter from guest services although RC did follow up with me today and was able to find me the letter ahead of time. I didn’t want to wait until on ship to find out we missed doing something. This at least saved us time waiting in line on ship.

To answer I did not use RC’s wedding group, we are having a ceremony and cocktail hour reception on the island stop of Nassau and are hitting Coco Cay the day before so we will hit the mandated 24 hours.

Thanks for the feedback and congrats we are getting excited getting into our countdown!

I know how you feel!!  We are getting married at sea in April on Independence during the sea day after Cozumel.  The paperwork is crazy and need to be approved by the Bahamas government.

Wow! Junior suite sounds wonderful! We have never stayed in a suite, but have been blessed with ocean balconies every time we sail. How generous of your dad to purchase the first cruise as a wedding gift. You are going to make such wonderful memories. My husband and I cruised for our honeymoon and we have been hooked ever since. Enjoy your time at sea as it will go fast and congrats once again. BTW, we will try to keep the ship tidy for your guest arrival 😉

Thanks again!  We have stayed in a few JS but never anything above that. We orginally had a balcony for the 2nd cruise (Honeymoon) but fiancé thought it would be nice to go to a JS for it, since we are going to be going to the same port (Cozumel) twice and probably won't get off on the second cruise.  Are you doing the same itineraries? 4-day and 5-day with Cozumel both and second Grand Cayman?

We haven't as of yet.  We are working with my travel agent right now on group bookings, which is a project in itself.

Our cruise is March 21, 2021-March 28, 2021...I am hoping to book an at sea wedding for March 23rd.

The one good thing is you have plenty of time!

I did all the group booking stuff all my self. I don't trust that a TA will do it the way I want it...So I contacted the Group Bookings Dept myself for all of it.

Special lunch sounds interesting. We are looking forward to not changing cabins so it should be pretty easy transition. I have always wanted to experience a b2b and am looking forward to it. I just have to get through the next 3 months of work ugh!  Thanks for your input😀. It is always nice to get feedback from those who have experienced it.

It would be nice to have a special lunch!!...hopefully they do!

We were going to get the same cabin for both cruises but my dad is purchasing the first cruise as a gift so we only got a window oceanview.  Our second we move to a Junior Suite for the honeymoon on the same floor (9th), hopefully they get us in the second room early enough.

Congrats on your honeymoon! Enjoy your sailing. We will try to make sure the ship is in one piece for you as you will be getting on as we are getting off 😀 this beautiful vessel!

Thank you so much!!!  We are actually also getting married on the last sea day on the first cruise so that is very exciting also!!!

Yes please make sure they make Indy look good for our entrance!!!...we want all our guests to think the best of RC!!

All consecutive cruiser meet in one location and all at the sametime. Very important everyone is there and on time. Most of our B2B cruises we all have been escorted off  the ship together and returned together. No stopping and waiting to reboard. But, if the ship is going through a Coast Guard inspection or something where the ship has to be cleared you would be escorted off the ship and seated in a waiting area. Once the ship is cleared you'd be the first group back on the ship. Just remember all this kind of info will be outlined in detail in your TAD letter you receive before the first leg of the cruise is over. The whole process is very well organized. At least that's been what we've experienced on all the B2B cruises we've done.

What time do you usually meet for B2B before the second cruise?

Oops, just saw your signature page with upcoming sailings. Looks like we will be missing you like 2 ships in the night, so to speak! Corny, I know.

    Yes, lol

We will be getting on for the first cruise when you are getting off your second...lol

Hope you have a great B2B!

On the second formal night when they serve lobster in the MDR i have been able to get the free lobster in most specialty restaurants by asking.  Other than that the only restaurant that has lobster on the menu at no additional charge is 150 CP (Oasis class ships) which have a Lobster Thermadore and Hooked which is only on Symphony

    Thank you!

I was just wondering because we get a wedding dinner for two and I was trying to find someone that serves lobster and I didn't have to pay extra for it.

Do you know how long captains go for before a break?  I'm just wondering who will be the captain for my Indy cruise at the end of April.  Because he might be the one that will be marrying my fiancé and i.

    Thanks!
