You mentioned renting a tux from Men’s Wearhouse. They also have tuxes for sale

at a reasonable price. They used to advertise a tux for $99.

Buying one may be less expensive than renting.

You would also be assured of a good fit if you bought one .

By the way, tux rentals are no longer available on Princess ships. I would contact your TA or RCCL directly to confirm if tux rentals are still offered on their ships.

    Congratulations for your wedding!

I got measured and they mentioned about buying one but it would be like $175 with taxes but u would need to buy the extra stuff (shirt, vest, bow tie, pocket square, and shoes) which would be another $125.

thanks again for the well wishes!

The tailor will bring a replacement.

When you’re done with it just hang it back up and they’ll retrieve it (usually sometime on the last day).

    Thanks again!!!

my wedding is in the last day will they get it that late night? Or maybe early morning on embarkation day?  I am doing a B2B so we will be not going anywhere lol

That must be very recent because I was able to rent a tux on Freedom in Nov 2019 and the web page to order still seems to be active.  So convenient to open the closet in the stateroom on day 1 and see it hanging there.  If it's gone, I'll miss it.

    Thank you for the info!!!

So you order and it’s in your room the first day?

What happens if sizes are wrong?

what do you do to return it?

  4. Hello

i was wondering if anybody has rented a tuxedo on any of the ships?

    Do all ships rent them?

i was going to rent one at men’s warehouse but they only do 6 days and after that the price is rental and a half cost. Since we are doing a back to back we will be gone for a total of 9 1/2 days (11 before I can rerun it) before I could return it. Total rental cost for everything would be like almost $375.

I really don’t want to spend that much and I heard the ships charge is only around $99 and u don’t have to worry about transporting it on and off the ship!!

    any help would be amazing!

    thanks in advance!!

How many formal nights do the 5 night Western Caribbean Independence of the Seas sailing have for the February 3, 2020 sailing?  Do they serve lobster on the formal night?  This is my first 5 night cruise, as I have always sailed 7+ on Royal.  Thanks

From what I've been told it will be the 2nd night.

Can you post your Cruise Compasses after your cruise?  I'm looking for a recent one so we can start see what if available when we go in April.  Thanks a lot!

How would I word an invitation to our embarkation day wedding, when no one will join us on the cruise. We don't want them to, the rest of the week on the cruise we're taking as our honeymoon. Thanks!!

    Hello.

That might be hard to word because if you mention anything about a cruise wedding they might think they are invited.

Will all the guests be coming in locally? I guess if it's a quick drive for them it shouldn't be an issue.

When are you getting married?...will it be a Legal or symbolic ceremony?

My fiancé and I are getting married this April and we decided to invite close family and friends....it's only a 4-day and we are getting married during a sea day....then when we get back to port her and I will be staying on for our honeymoon for the 5-day cruise.

That way we get the marriage with everyone and still have our own time for honeymoon!!

Best of luck in your wedding!

If you leave the cruise terminal and don't reboard with the B2B guests, you cannot reboard the ship until general boarding has begun.  You will also go through security again.

    Thank you!!!

    Also very good to know!!

We don't want to have to wait until they start boarding again with general boarding....so we probably won't go anywhere except with the B2B group!

    Thanks again!

Disregard  the info the RC phone rep. gave you. Consecutive cruises do not have to go through the security line. You leave the ship as a group and return to the ship as a group. You may get lucky and not have to leave the ship at all. We've had B2B cruises where we had to get off the ship and some we didn't. The only exception would be if you were leaving the terminal and going into Fort Lauderdale, doing a excursion then you would have to go thru security again to get back in the terminal building. If you are planning on leaving the terminal make sure you get an "in transit pass" from the staff member in charge of the TAD process.

Also great to know!!!  Thank you!

We were thinking to maybe get off to help our guests carry some stuff back to the cars....and my fiancé can walk her wedding dress to the car also, so we don't have to keep it on the ship for the next 5 days.

You'll go through with other B2Bers, after everyone else as left.  M_M mentioned staying on the ship, this seems ideal.  For me (in Miami) it was off the ship, down to the facial rec scanners and right back on.  We were off the ship for about 20 minutes.

We will be in Ft. Lauderdale so I don't know what they make you do.  I hope it's quick....as long as they don't make us go back in line for security (like the RC operators stated)!

    Must be other factors too.

We've done B2Bs with over 150 B2B guests on Adventure at San Juan, and most times they had us get off and once they come up to the Star Lounge and we didn't get off.

We've also done a number of B2Bs on Monarch were there were only 3 -5 of us and only once did they let us stay on.

When they have you get off, do you have to leave with everyone else and go back thru security?

Yes that person did. Another thing a day or two prior to TAD you will receive an invite to a B2B/consecutive cruisers meeting. I recommend you attend. Also you will receive in your stateroom a detailed letter outlining the TAD process. Where to meet. Time to meet. What to bring with you.

the first cruise is only a 4-day...so I should get that letter the 3rd or 4th day?...and if I don't I should go down to GS and ask about it?
