  1. Disembarkation was a breeze. We were in the first group off at 7:30. Picked up our 1 bag and were in an Uber by 7:45. Through security and at our airport gate by 8:30. So for those that are always asking “can I make a -:$ flight?, this was my experience today, disembarking from J Terminal. Your mileage may vary. FWIW our flight is not until 11:55, I’m sitting in the Priority Pass lounge (Amex card perk) having free food and mimosas. I have a 5 hour layover in CLT, hope they have one of these lounges there.
  2. The waiting is the hardest part. All ready to go and waiting for them to announce time to disembark.
  3. We’ll they’re not leather, but a nice approximation of it.
  4. We’re at Cape Canaveral today. Beautiful sunny day. We’ve been packing but need to get outside and enjoy some sunshine.
  5. I noticed recently someone mentioned the “plastic” card holders. I hope they weren’t referring to these new ones as I think they’re much better than the gray ones we’ve had for the last 10 years or so.
  6. It is the wines by the glass, and the beers on the bar menu. I’ll try to get a picture today.
  7. I also encourage anyone on this cruise to jump in with any of their ideas, experiences or observations. I know there are a lot of things I’m sure I’ve missed. Such as shows, excursions, bands or other activities and events.
  8. I heard about this last week, but couldn’t mention it yet. Hopefully the new management will continue to keep Oceania the same quality product it’s been for years.
  9. My waistline swells when I’m on a cruise.
  10. Thanks for filling in pictures of food as I know many people are definitely interested in these. I had that one potato with glass noodles in Red Ginger app you showed. It’s one of my favorites along with the Tempura and the Tiger Shrimp.
  11. We’re in Charleston today, pretty much the crown jewel of the ports on this cruise, even if it had made Bermuda. Bright sunny day, about 60 degrees, perfect for walking around town.
  12. Maybe you could expound as we just booked 24 days on Marina for next year around the horn.
  13. The service we have received in every area has been outstanding. I have no complaints. We had a couple of slices of pizza at the new trattoria last night and really enjoyed it. It was quick & tasty. One thing I’ve noticed is there has been no mention in the Currents about it or any push from any of the food service team. If you didn’t know about it then you might miss it.
  14. Here’s the other style. I think these are the same ones as before, just recovered.
  15. New chairs in Horizons. Pretty close to the floor and hard to get up from for old folks like me.
  16. The only way to know about them(first timer or repeaters) is to get an invite or know someone that did. The only notice in Currents is a paragraph saying Horizons will be closed from 5 to 7 for a private event. This is the first time in 14 years I’ve heard of a first timers party.
  17. Ours is tonight, sometimes they will have 2, if you didn’t get an invitation for tonight then you are probably in the second group, if you’re a repeater, which I think you are.
  18. We were told by a first time Oceania cruiser that they had a party for first timers a couple of nights ago. I don’t know if this is new or not, but it’s the first I’ve heard of one. She said there were 370 something first timers on this cruise. Still not sure how many total are on board, but it doesn’t seem crowded. Anyone have anything in particular they want to see a picture of or know about let me know. I don’t really do food pictures, I eat it.
  19. We just took a stroll around 8 and then 7, and saw what you are talking about. I don’t know who signed off on that, but it’s kind of sad. We haven’t been on 8, 9,10 or 11, but assume they are all the same. It’s only the inner walls I noticed.
  20. Free drinks tonight between 6-8.
  21. The list I have shows Regatta thru jul 17, Insignia thru Jul 3rd, Nautica through jun 17th, Serena through Nay 6th, Marina through May 1, Riviera through Apr 25th, & Vista through May 23rd. Sorry if this is old info. These are all for 2025
