What you don't get now that you used to get is the air included. Seems fair as many people don't use Oceania air at all. It was a nice bonus when they did it.

From looking at some of these it seems that it's an either or situation. You can have the Extraordinary Saving, or you can have the O Ultimate, or you can have a Single Supplement, or you can have just O Life. I'm curious if there is any savings with any of these perks or if they are all normal price. Anyone with any input on this?

The bigger question is why are they having to discount cruises so much?

Make sure the Ultimate works with that Cabin selection. My cruise in January the Ultimate was only for B4- PH1. There were many other cruises with the same Terms.

Actually, even though you guys were joking, years ago I was on a Carnival cruise and they had one night as a Star Search type show with guests that signed up for it early in the cruise. There was one young girl, (20s) that absolutely blew away anyone that they had in their professional troop. Production shows at the time was one of the highlights of Carnival cruises, so it was a pretty high bar.

The spa voucher is about $100 less per person for those that get them than they originally were and the prices have increased at least 30-40%. Along with that you can't seem to combine them, although my wife can use hers for one procedure and then mine for another. The prices have increased to where they really don't fully cover any massage procedures. You can get salon procedures, but the tip is going to come out of your onboard account. . As previously mentioned you can't use them for the tip, They add a line for additional tip, but 20% is already automatically added to the price, so if you're not careful you're adding more tip on top of the tip. Not as good a deal as it used to be for those that used it as a loyalty perk.

One factor I’ve experienced over the years when there has been a change and you call in is the cs rep you get. Some will do the bare minimum and get off the phone with you ASAP, others will do everything possible to accommodate you, within the guidelines. I, like others have turned a crap routing into exactly what I want.

While this is something that is involved it's not the reason for the corkage fee. Basically when I bring my own bottle and have wine with dinner they are not selling me a bottle with a 2 to 4 times markup or more over their cost. The corkage fee is to make up for that. Really nothing to do with labor opening the bottle or washing the glasses.

I think you've hit on the real reason here. We've always got our O Club level perks regardless of what special we booked with.

The issue I always had with hip hop and rap was the tone of the sound. The bass is all wrong, it's very low fi, I don't like the mix. It's sounds like the speakers are busted. But that's just me, I come from a sound mixer background. I'm sure others may not think twice about it. Sometimes I like the beat just fine.

John Fogerty is 77, Paul McCartney is 80, Mick Jagger is 79, Keith Richards is 79, Don Henley is 75, Eric Clapton is 78. I'd hang out with those old guys anytime if they would let me. Believe it or not lots of folks that age love to Rock N Roll. Let's add Brian Wilson, he's 80, I'm sure we could find dozens more.

You opened the door, just because people are saying things you don't agree with doesn't mean they have to stop talking about it. For what it's worth I don't think anything anyone says will change your mind on this situation, but they're free to try.

This is what many of us try to tell people every time this question is asked. It's really a non issue having a room close to the elevators or stairs.
