  1. Check in has been 45 days, E-docs with luggage tags at the end about 30 days.
  2. What ship are you on. If an Edge class or S class and on E class is in port that day you will be using T25. They are very efficient when it comes to boarding so getting there in time for lunch will probably work.
  3. This was our experience also. I'm not sure who is giving the bonus, Am Express or Celebrity but we got the full $1000 back and did not lose the bonus.
  4. The first time I redeemed points it was automatically applied to my cruise balance due. The last 3 times I had to call Celebrity to get the reduction applied.
  5. The old muster used more crew since there was crew posted at all the elevators/stairs on every deck as well as in every muster station. Now they just have a few crew stationed in the muster stations. If there are people who don't show up, just cancel their sea pass card after one warning.
  6. I don't trust this as a fix. I'm not having a problem but if I were I would rely on Celebrity CC to fix it eventually.
  7. It's been happening to others. I got through to the CC this morning around 8:30 for another issue. Took about 20 minutes for them to answer. They will be able to restore your points.
  8. This is not true, only the required and paid deposit is non refundable. Any additional payments are refunded as long as you do not cancel after the required final payment date. If you change your sailing before final payment date you would be charged a $100 pp change fee.
  9. The cut backs to the buffet at dinner don't impact us but I know how disappointed some people are. What really got me was on our cruise last week on Reflection. We went to the buffet on a port day for lunch. Thae only thing I can say about it was "Everything was BROWN" totally unappetizing and we did not eat there or return.
  10. Not when in Sushi on 5, no offer to get us a glass of wine or a Kirin beer, and I can't blame them. However, when on a cruise we enjoy a glass of wine with lunch. Ok, so they can't sell alcohol, what about Michaels Club where it is complementary?
  11. I don't care if we never go to GC again. Luckily our next 3 sailings don't include this port.
  12. We live in the City of Pittsburgh. It's a balmy 31 right now. We also have coyotes on our street along with turkeys, foxes and more deer than we can count. There was a bear in the downtown area about 2 years ago. Back to our regularly scheduled program, we would not wear shorts in the dining room at dinner.
  13. Great idea. I wish we had known then but know for the future. I don't think our next 3 cruises include GC which is fine by me.
  14. No, bars in GC were not open. We would have gladly paid a sales tax but not an option.
  15. We were in the Retreat on Reflection a week ago. Went to lunch at Sushi on 5 and ordered beer and wine. NOPE, no go. We, as well as another table inquired. The staff checked and confirmed, only the Pool bar open. Headed to Michaels club after lunch, totally shut down although they did have the cooler with beer available. I hate beer and was tempted to go behind the bar to pour a glass of wine. Cooler heads prevailed and we went back to our suite to open the Dom I was saving for packing day. Will definitely plan ahead on future cruises. I knew there was a reason we did not like GC.
  16. I doubt it, we could not get a glass of wine in Michaels club on Reflection.
  17. Have had Grand Caymen as a tender port on numerous occasions and ever encountered this until our Reflection cruise last week. Guess the island is trying to make everyone disembark and drink their over priced alcohol.
  18. Don't wait until you are on board. The future cruise sales department cannot move bookings. As posted above, keep the same booking number to keep your OBC from booking onboard. You may or may not be charged the $100. Our CVP has always taken care of us but could be the exception.
  19. Apparently you need to have the placard in the window of the vehicle. They are emailed to higher level suites. We've never had a problem, but I did notice security checking to make sure our driver had it.
  20. We will always sign up to sail with a 100% pants requirement for dinner. Have never wanted to go to the buffet for dinner but I know there are others who do. I do hope Celebrity will rethink their buffet menu offerings and bring back some main dish offerings. I remember when the buffet was used as a training venue for new servers and you paid $2.00 to eat there. That time is long gone but I'm still not ready to wear shorts for dinner.
  21. Our deepest condolences. You have been a valuable contributor to CC, especially your knowledge of suites and your welcoming responses to posters. May he rest in peace in the Penthouse in the sky.
  22. We just disembarked Reflection yesterday. Heard very few guests coughing, sneezing, etc. Saw a few more masks towards the end of the cruise on passengers. A few crew members were masked but not our butler or cabin attendant or restaurant waiters. We felt very comfortable on board but there was a lot of coughing and sneezing on the flight home. So far, so good.
  23. Not sure about the terminal. When we cruised from there 2 or 3 times, there was only one terminal but it will not matter if you are using a car service to the port. They will find the ship. We also used Dial 7 from the ship to the airport. We were in a similar cabin on an M class ship and it is great.
  24. I say go for the car to the port. We've used Dial 7 in the past and have been very happy with their service.
