  1. Will look for you this week. Can't wait to be on the "high seas" again for 14 days. My DH is headed to the Ozarks in November ( Woopigsooie) to Boston Mt. Safe travels today. We are headed down in a few hours but our commute is much shorter.
  2. This made me even more excited. We only have 6 days before we board for a B2B.
  3. At our local Total Wine, a staff member told us that they are having trouble getting it for their stores. I do believe it is a supply chain issue.
  4. We have been waiting for our Odyssey block since last October. Sadly our next block will also be on Odyssey, so I guess we will wait over a year for both. Very disappointing.
  5. I am waiting on mine from October of last year.😓
  6. The protocol in the thread I think did say that fully vaccinated individuals whose booster was more than 270 days could have a negative antigen test 1 day prior to boarding.
  7. This is exactly what we were talking about on the roll call. It is way to early for our TA cruise for RCCL to release our protocols because all the EU ports-of -call could change dramatically in the next 7-8 months. You almost have to visit international websites daily to keep up with their current protocols. They are all very fluid.
  8. Did any of y'all get the tenderloin at Giovanni's? In the past I preferred theirs to Chops.
  9. I would love that. The sea days are my absolute favorite. If you have a good roll call and roll call leader there will be daily card games organized or dice games, cabin crawl, bar crawls, slot pull, etc. Pleanty of onboard activates as well.
  10. Any meal I don't have to cook and kitchen I don't have to clean is a win-win. The same goes for cleaning my room and bathroom and being thoroughly entertained at no additional cost. Give me some shade, a breeze,, a book, a beverage and an ocean view and the price of my ticket is forgotten.
  11. It does mention waiting for your wellness screening results. I wonder if that is a temperature check? I was also under the impression that they no longer were doing Covid testing between cruises. I will be eager to see what happens. It would seem odd in lei of todays announcement of discontinuing Covid test for 9 and less night cruises.
  12. I received one of the "mystery" boxes. I am just waiting patiently (not) for the email from NCL with the lock combination so I know what is in it. The suspense mounts daily.
  13. Not all of cruise travels have smart phones and second some of us lock ours in the safe when we board. I am not addicted to my phone and don't want to be forced to depend on it. Rant over.
  14. Looking forward to doing it with y'all. These Live reviews are helping make the next 55 days go by faster.
  15. I agree but what I will miss the most is the unobstructed view of the Boardwalk. I am in the minority I know, but I loath the Abyss. I so wish they would leave one sister without it. Is she finally getting her full amplification in spring of 24? I haven't read when that was happening. I also wonder where her new home will be after she does. I hope to hope on her for a couple of short sailings when she is in Port Canaveral doing 3/4 nights.
  16. I am definitely following along. We are doing the same Itinerary Oct 15 on the first leg of a B2B. We have taken many Caribbean cruises, but in 33 years of cruising this will be our first time to Aruba and Curaçao. I think ours goes to Labadee first though not last. Have a wonderful time.
  17. We are going there in October on the Allure. It will be our first time to both Aruba and Curacao. What would you say is a "must see" experience? Thanks.
  18. My DH and I have a B2B on her in Oct. This is certainly wetting my appetite to sail on her once again. She was our first cruise when cruises restarted last August .I , like Ocean Boy, love this ship. I am in the minority I know, but I detest the abysmal Abyss. Since Allure is the only sister with out, I love her. I will say though, I really did enjoy our TA on Wonder of the Seas. She is beautiful. I also, late to the party, want to thank you Sue for this very entertaining thread and allowing us to virtually travel with you.
  19. It still remains my husband's favorite ship. I surprised him one year with a watercolor painting of the ship ( that yes I won at an art auction🤣). It still hangs proudly in our home.
  20. Our first cruise was on the NCL ship S.S Norway in June 1989. What a magnificent old lady she was. My DH and I thought this was a "once in a lifetime" vacation but we, like the rest of you were hooked and found ways to save our pennies in order to take a yearly cruise. Our assigned dinner mates from that first cruise have become dear friends and through the years we added several other couples from around the country to our "yearly cruise " who also remain close friends. While we were in St Thomas on that cruise, we saw the new RCCL ship Sovereign of the Seas in the harbor and knew immediately what ship our next cruise was going to be on. That began our RCCL "love affair". 33 years later and 30 cruises later (20 being with RCCL) we are now passed hooked to addicted. Since our retirement and move to Florida's Eastern coast in 2020, we can now enjoy more and longer cruises.
  21. This was also my thoughts. I would imagine the "3" big boys have met together and discussed this. As competitive as cruising is, I can't imagine one of them completely doing away with testing and the other two not. But... we wait and see.
  22. I can see that as a real possibility. I looked at all the Caribbean and North America destinations and only two required pre-embarkation testing ( Bermuda and I other that I now can't remember) A couple did specify that no testing was required for vaccinated individual, but was for unvaccinated. Again, bring out the purple and green bracelets and place them on the ones that required testing.
