  1. You can call NCL (or have your TA do it) and book your Le Bistro or any other specialty restaurant at the 120 day mark. As far as entertainment, go to the kiosks by the elevator or the box office and book as soon as you board for the big shows. You didn't specify which ship but the smaller venues can't be prebooked.
  2. Welcome to Cruise Critic. More information can be found on the Ports of Call forum. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/202-tortola/
  3. In February out of PC we were on the first transfer bus out at 9am and at MCO by 9:45. You should be fine for your flight. Enjoy your cruise!
  4. While we missed the port in Scotland, we spent an extra 8 hours in port in Iceland. Someone has to pay for those additional fees in Iceland and my guess is that those fees were higher than what we were charged for Scotland. Just glad that when port fees are higher than estimated, the cruise lines do not come back and charge for them. Not worth the stress for a few bucks,
  5. I have been on around 15 NCL cruises and never once did we line up outside. My muster station was typically in the theatre or the Local. Since the restart, you do the muster drill via video and have your card scanned at your station once you board. Takes about 10 seconds. There was one video in a European port where the drill was done the old way but haven't seen any confirmation that it is that way on all ships.
  6. Back in February while in the Port Canaveral terminal waiting to board the Escape, I saw a vending machine with Coke in it (this was back when Pepsi was on board). My travel companion is a die hard Coke drinker...he bought 6 diet Cokes from the machine, stuffed them in his backpack and no one said anything when we boarded. He was a happy cruiser for the week. @ChiefMateJRKback in the day when I drank soda, I could definitely tell the difference between the taste of Coke and Pepsi. Just like I am sure you can tell the difference in brands of alcohol 😉
  7. This happened back in September and has been talked about ad nauseum on this board.

  9. NCL uses the new Horizon terminal. In September we stayed at the Premier Inn West Quay and it was fine for the night. Good price, very clean, nice on-site restaurant. Also across the street from the Mall, which has other food options and shopping for any last minute items. We were lucky in that the private driver that brought us from London to Southampton actually lives there and he insisted on coming back in the morning to take us to the port for free (wouldn't even take a tip).
  10. Coffee makers are still available. All you have to do is ask. I don't drink coffee so I appreciate the extra counter space that it took up.
  11. Are you asking about the Club Balcony suite? If so, the answer is no. Those are not Haven cabins.
  12. Are you trying to book the same restaurant more than once? If so, the app will not let you and you need to call or use Chat.
  13. You tell the hostess when you are checking in at the restaurant that you want it charged to your ship board account and not use a FAS voucher. We do this all the time at Food Republic and Q.

  15. Your PCC can certainly help you. But if not, we just booked ours onboard 2 days before disembarkation.
  16. The Florida departures forum will answer a lot of your questions: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/386-florida-departures/ My personal experience from leaving Port Canaveral in February was to take the NCL shuttle. We were on the first bus out at 9am and arrived at MCO at 9:45. Our flights weren't until early evening but we were renting a car for the day (none available at PC). We were off the shuttle and in the rental car by 10:30. It's very easy and no reason to stress. As @halluxmentioned, NCL will make sure your luggage tags are appropriate for your scheduled bus and make sure you are on one of the first buses if you have a 12:30 flight.
  17. This was what I was going to post also. Have been on the Pearl and Jade and while they are lovely ships, they are too small for my tastes. I need the Waterfront, especially if I am in an inside cabin.
  18. As long as you cancel prior to boarding (and it might have to be 3 days prior...I think I read that somewhere) you will get a refund via payment method. If you board the ship, do the spa tour upon embarkation and decide it isn't for you, you can cancel for OBC.
  19. In all my cruises on different lines, I have never seen cabins ready before 1:30-2:00pm (possible exception could be Haven but even then, its iffy or if the ship was empty of passengers on the prior sailing). Skip the buffet and go enjoy a sit down lunch in the MDR. By the time you are finished, your cabin should be open.
  20. You can check the NCL website to see what entertainment is on the Escape but just because it is now does not mean it will be 5 months from now (but my guess is Choir of Man will still be playing). You check in 21 days before you sail and edocs are typically available anywhere from 2 to 24 hours afterwards (I have had both this year). No idea on flight info because I book my own but from reading these boards, I believe it is around 30 days from embarkation date. Enjoy your cruise.
  21. NOLA is the worst port I have ever sailed from. Unorganized, chaotic, rude staff (port staff, not NCL). Which is too bad because it is a wonderful city. It will take a lot to ever get me to cruise from there again.
  22. This should have been completed yesterday as soon as you got onboard. But now you can check in the morning or there are several big boards on the ship that have the restaurants listed and are coded green, yellow and red under the different dining times so you can see what is available. Depending on the size of your party, I have also just stopped by a specialty restaurant and asked if they have any seating available. Please do no show or cancel all the time. I have a friend on this same cruise and she had a wonderful first day. Hope your cruise improves for you.
  23. Haven't been on the Bliss in a year but there used to be a smoking area on the pool deck, port side I believe, near the Garden Cafe entrance. I may be backwards but know there is one on that deck as I used to walk on the other side to avoid it.
