  1. Exactly the answer I was hoping for. Thanks...
  2. Actually...and don't tell her I told you...she's six months older than I am. Cradle robber...
  3. Be prepared to take the churros to your cabin. They give you a huge stack of them...more than most couples can eat after filling up on Mexican food.
  4. I know this is a stock thread, but this is somewhat related, since it deals with the NR OBC from the stock. So...we will have both Refundable OBC and Non-Refundable OBC on our next cruise. If we buy something on the ship to use up the NR OBC, how can we designate the NR to be used up first?
  5. Or a larger font. My old eyes ain't what they used to be...like pretty much everything else on me.
  6. I know I'm late to the party, but $3.25 for a one bite cake pop?? Yikes...at that rate an entire cake would be about $1,000. At least you get to keep the stick...
  7. Exactly. People focus on price drops. What about the case where the price increases...as is the case with our Mediterranean cruise next September? The price is currently several hundred more than we paid when booking a year ago.
  8. Booking early lets you get your choice of cabin before all the "good" ones are scarfed up. Plus, you get to start planning excursions, ports, etc., in earnest, knowing you're really going (unless you cancel, of course). Plus, you can send your itinerary to friends to rub it in...or if they want to join you...which sometimes ends up happening for us. Everyone wants to cruise with the Schmoopies...😁
  9. Yeah, the $100 stockholder credit sounds great, but since it's non-refundable, it's not really all that great. But the stock has shot up nicely in the past few weeks when I bought at $12.90. Closed today at $20.95. Only wish I had bought 1,000 shares, instead of a measly 100.
  10. If the OP books the 2025 cruise today, Numbers 3, 4 and 5 are non-applicable at this time, since air schedules won't even come out until 11 months before the trip. And, in any case, nobody says you have to book air at the time you book your cruise.
  11. Maybe @Katie111is flying on a rocket ship.
  12. You reached right in my mouth and took the words out. Excuse me while I go get some mouthwash.
  13. Which is goofy. You would think NCL could keep your picture on your Latitudes account. Unless you have a facelift or age 20 years, your picture won't change much.
  14. If I recall correctly, it was about three months. They gave us a 10% FCC...which we immediately used to book a replacement cruise.
  15. It looks like most of the charters are for three or four day cruises...and the best way to avoid these is to book longer cruises. (Which, I assume most people do, anyway). And yes, I understand there can be exceptions. We had a week-long cruise canceled because of a charter last year.
  16. I've heard varying things about trying to do a deviation on both ends. Some people say they've done it...others said they could only do one end or the other. I suppose YMMV...
  17. At least you avoided the hassle of uploading your pictures.
  18. Apples and oranges (and dead horses). You COMPLETED 150 days on your middle cruise. The OP said he didn't hit 150 until during the third cruise. In which case, he didn't satisfy the requirement of having to complete the cruise where you reach the new level until after that cruise is completed.
  19. Of course you can wear earplugs. The bigger question is, why wouldn't you if it works for you? We went to a concert by the band Chicago (with all the horns) and sat in the front row. You better believe I wore earplugs. My ears thanked me...
  20. In my oh-so-humble opinion, Dawn may not be the best choice for your first NCL cruise (although Dawn worked out nicely for Tony Orlando). I know the Dawn has its fans, but if I were recommending a ship to a first-time NCL-er, I would recommend one of the newer/larger ships. Even if you're not into all the new-fangled bells and whistles (go-karts, ropes courses, etc....which I am definitely not), I think you would get a more accurate picture of what NCL is about. Observation Lounges, District Brewhouse, more specialty restaurants, better shows/entertainment, etc. I may be wrong (it's been known to happen) and I'm sure people will shoot down my comment (hey, this is CC, after all)...and speaking of CC, one of the favorite phrases around here is YMMV...and yours definitely might. Of course, if it's an itinerary that you can't find elsewhere, then go for it.
  21. Not big. After they become dead horses, they get moved to the crematorium.
  22. Go back and look at post #12 where I pointed out the exact same thing you just pointed out. Then scroll down one post to #13, which shows there was still confusion over this. So...it was NOT clear to some posters. This was also pointed out by @UKstagesin post #28. Not clear at all. Man, this dead horse has been resurrected enough.
  23. That's an "L" of an observation and one with which I heartily concur.
  24. Oh, great. Now I have that Carole King sing in my head...
  25. Whoever wrote that gobbledygook needs to be committed. Right, @UKstages??
