  1. Our weather is dull and dreary and on the cool side at 14c but none of the rain and thunderstorms that we have had a weather warning for. We desperately need the rain as we still have a hose pipe ban in place from last year. I've had a sleepless night so feel tired already. I have a hospital appointment up in Plymouth for my radiation treatment late this afternoon so it will be a long day. So no more driving for me for a least a month.
  2. When on Iona in January last year the same table was booked for us each night at the same time, but did inform them on the one or two occasions that we would be dining elsewhere.
  3. We are due to visit Flam on Britannia in September and one of the excursions listed is Flam railway and biking. Taken from My P&OCruises: "Soak up the sights during a journey on the world-famous Flåm Railway, then immerse yourself in the picturesque landscape on a bike ride back down the mountain. Board the train at Flåm station, sit back and watch the views grow more and more dramatic as you climb 2,800 feet over a distance of just 12.5 miles. Passing by sheer cliffs, verdant valleys and sparkling lakes, the train will slow down at key sections to make perfect photo opportunities. Reaching the highest station, Mydral, you’ll turn back and descend to Berekvam, over half way down the railway. Hop onto your bike here and begin the thrilling ride on narrow gravel and asphalt roads towards the valley floor. Follow your expert guide and enjoy the rush of pure air as you pass by raging waterfalls and tranquil mountain scenes"
  4. Have a good time. We have sailed on both Arvia and Iona and liked both ships. Our next cruises is to the Fjords too, but on Britannia in September and also have PI booked pre-cruise. Will be interesting to hear your views on Stravanger and Haugesund, especially as the later is a new port for us.
  5. Sorry to hear this. Hope they find the cause and you are home soon.
  6. Sorry to hear about your accident, but glad that you are not seriously hurt. Wishing you well and hope you soon get over any soreness. We are due to call in at Flam in September, but I will not be biking!!
  7. I too have never heard of them, so just googled to see. Our nearest is the other side of Plymouth, to us about 88 miles away!
  8. We were on Arvia in May and the shuttle drop off point is near the Cathedral in Marseille.
  9. Happy Birthday to your Mum, I hope she enjoys the rest of her day after her celebration breakfast.
  10. Hope you have a great time. I know how stressful can be re insurance, as I had to re-sort insurance less than a week before my last cruise, and I have an appointment for treatment next week.
  11. After going shopping in Truro this morning, for walking boots, we headed out towards St. Agnes and Wheal Coates and followed the coastal path along and walked down to Chapel Porth beach where we had lunch. After lunch it was decided we would go plodding before we made our way back up to the car. Here's a few pictures. (Goodness only knows why some ot them are upside down🤷‍♀️)
  12. And sticks of milk. If you want fresh milk it can be bought down from the buffet and kept in the fridge.
  13. Morning everyone, hope everyone is keeping well. A bit more breezy down here this morning, but still sunny. I'm being taken shopping this morning in Truro by youngest daughter to buy walking boots, I think she might be trying to tell me something!! Enjoy your day. Pam
  14. When we flew out to Malta last year we went though passport control and collected our cases, before heading towards the coaches for our transfer to the ship. Cases where taken and loaded into a van, so we didn't have to take them on the coach with us, and arrived outside our cabin in due course. On arrival at the terminal we were checked. We found our cabin, dropped of our hand luggage then we went back ashore for a walk around.
  15. After having waited several weeks for a hospital appointment and attended last week plus getting a date at the end of the month for treatment, I today received a phone call offering me an appointment for treatment on Friday, which is too soon to get transportation organised. I have now been given a choice of three dates for next week and one for the week after. Talk about buses!!
  16. I received one after our cruise on 14th May on Ariva, from Feefo
  17. It seems it's across the board as it is the same for both of my cruises, booked for September (Britannia) and Janurary (Azura), so I don't need to worry yet! Hope they get it sorted for you soon.
  18. Or you can ring the Customer Contact Centre (details of the number can be found in your My P&O under drinks) before you board. We purchased a package last year and received a booklet for the number of bottles we had ordered in the package, which needed to be filled in and handed to a member of staff when ordering.
  19. Just returned from Arvia and only have one menu.
  20. My daughter came across 2 while on Britannia about a month ago and I saw someone who had found one on Arvia last week. It seems as though they are being hidden on a lot of ships.
  21. Bright and sunny again down here, Sorry Sue! A group of us are off the the theatre in Truro tonight to see Mamma Mia, but nothing else planned for today, just going to make the most of the good weather with a book in the garden.
