I am not surprised. The way my last FCD I used has not been returned. Trying to explain to them that Princess cancelled the cruise and should return it for me to use again is like …??? I suggest everyone be careful dealing with the Future Cruise Dept on-board the ship- they gave out misinformation and to also go print out your folio on the last evening of the cruise. good luck with this and thanks for the heads up.

Only time I had issue was on the old Star- South America. Walked up to Crown Grill - told nothing was available for early dining any of the days. Went up to cabin, phoned dining and made reservations. When we were sitting at our table, only 1/2 dozen other tables occupied the staff who refused us stopped and said, “ oh someone must have cancelled.” Don’t know why we were snubbed.

I like Celebrity too, but will ONLY book with them last minute. I don't want my money tied up for months at a time---$500 extra for a refundable deposit making me pay $960 deposit per cabin, months in advance. My Princess bookings have a $99 US pp deposit and it is refundable. Also, adding the Plus/Premier Package before the cruise increases your Travel Insurance---all because you want to snag Specialty dining times? Like Host advised in her post above--cancel the Specialty dining and call to book your included ones. easy to cancel these pre paid items online. I for one, agree that Princess is failing greatly in customer service, glitches (believe me, I'm in on most of them!), but life on a Princess ship has mostly been flawless for us. Tying up $90 for 5 months is "peanuts" to many on here.

Update: checked my AMEX-- $90 charge $90 credit must be this specialty dining I booked under premier package. glitch?

Stick around awhile. This is minor! oh, I just had to pay for my specialty dining which is included in my Premier Package, generously gifted to me this week. Another glitch, I believe.

That’s the way it works. You can take your chance and wait until you board to book the Specialty dining. Did you get a fantastic friend’s discount?

Yep, don’t expect any money but want my FCD back to use again instead of what they did to me recently. I am really not comfortable hearing about agents in other countries having all my information. 3 booked cruises and hoping no more glitches.

Pre pandemic my travel agent was able to get me price drops before and some after final payment. no harm in asking, but I doubt it.

You may have to cancel & rebook Ask your travel agent to refare before doing that.

Bought my last two in February. Star TA cancellation by Princess saw my FCD turned into a FCC with $50 non refundable OBC per cabin, so I won’t bother with them anymore. I had wanted the FCD S returned like previously with the $75-100 OBC per person for my 16 day cruise. Often see $99 deposits lately.

Lack of consistency.

We went to see them on board Regal. Told us to purchase on app ourselves. Had no interest in helping us.

I actually had a CVP whom I never dealt with, try to transfer my online booking to her. And she also put a cruise on hold that I did not want-I just noticed it in my Personalizer. I know some have had wonderful experiences with CVP s but the 2 that were bothering me, were not.

Future Cruise Dept staff are selling these promotions packages on the ships. See thread with link above- ONE- is the company who now deal with our loyalty program.

Do you have a receipt? Paperwork with the promotion- hotel information. i am sorry this happened. I had to contact Princess customer service to have a CVP and these promotions people blocked. I no longer take calls from them nor answer their emails. The Future cruise staff sept on the ships are also involved in this sort of thing.

And you are right. Just be prepared that they can take them away even when you have seen others get away with it.

Lucky. couple on my Galveston cruise had their case of plastic bottle water taken at embarkation.

Does your payment and travel summary now have $0 balance? If so you are ok. if not call your TA.

Let us know the private company. My transfer ship to Victoria coach station is $86 CAD pp., so I booked that again. I stayed at Rubens at the Palace 3x. Great 2x, not great last time. Easy walk to coach station and that great fish & chip shop nearby.
