I've only been in angled balconies on NCL. I like the unobstructed view to the front of the ship as you're sailing. it's also 50% bigger than a regular balcony. For those that have sailed in both S-class and on NCL, how's the forward facing angled balconies on both? Comparable? What are the differences, if any?

On Ncl, there's a pool in the spa. I got aquaclass on the Apex and was disappointed there was no pool. (Still loved Blu) Does the M or S class ships have a pool in the spa?

(sea day) They have a solo gathering listed but this time is in the cellar masters on deck 5. Will update on how it is.

2022 (a few years after dry dock): I was aboard the Summit a couple of months after last dry dock (before Covid). There was already rust showing on my balcony. 😮 Apparently, they just painted over the rust during that drydock and it was now showing through the paint. Hopefully next drydock, they'll scrape off the rust (ie: wire brush) before painting.

I'm currently on the summit. In the past, solo gatherings were listed on the daily for the day after embarkation at the Martini lounge at a certain time. It was an awkward and frustrating experience. Unlike ncl, it's not lead by anyone from Celebrity. You're on your own to figure out who's there for the solo gathering and who's there to drink. On my current cruise, it was held in the Sky Lounge on Day2. It was at the same time as an another event there but the person doing the event was also the solo coordinator. He designated a place (back of the room in a corner) for us and made several announcements. He asked we say our names and where we're from then he went to host his other activity. Then we started taking among ourselves. This was much better! At least we didn't have to fumble around trying to figure out who was a solo. Hope this continues for sea days. (Tomorrow is a port day so nothing listed for solos)

Is GeoBlue primary or secondary? Nationwide is $79/yr for medical only ($250k evac) but it's secondary.

Pre-pandemic, it was $100/yr and $50 deductible for Medivac only. In Aug 2021, my policy was $120/yr and $200 deductible. Now, for Aug 2022 renewal, it's $151/yr and $200 deducible. Any other Medivac only yearly insurance?

Damage was that bad yet they kept on sailing the past couple of months like everything was ok? I was on Apex in both sunset veranda and Aquaclass (doing a b2b). No coffee maker. I enjoy waking up, making coffee and drinking it in my balcony in my pajamas. I dont want to get dressed and goto the spa cafe or the buffet just to get coffee. (I don't eat breakfast to cut down on weight gain on cruises.) NCL has coffee makers in their balcony cabins. Why doesn't Celebrity?

(male, solo) Oct Halloween cruise: Celebrity Beyond repositioning from NJ - Ft Lauderdale. (Mom lives in NY so dropping my car there) Then I have 2 options: 1) At Ft Lauderdale, I can do B2b on Celebrity Infinity (6night + 8 night), hopefully free because Celebrity casino. (Beyond cruise free) - Never been to Bimini, Bahamas or Belize City or Grand Turks or Key West, FL - Will be staying 1 night at Hard Rock casino (free) because Infinity leaves 1 day after i debark Beyond - Fly back to NY at end of B2b 2) 14day NCL Breakaway repositioning from NY to New Orleans (I expect rates to drop to $50/day) then free 7day cruise at New Orleans (from land casino) - Fly back to NY at end of Beyond cruise - Partial Panama Canal: Enter 1st set of locks, then go back and leave through same set of locks. (Done full Panama transit twice but never done partial) - Partial Panama allows stop at Colon, Panama port which i've never been to - Been to all the ports on the 7day but it's free... - Stay at Harrah's New Orleans casino for a few days (free) to miss Thanksgiving travel mess - Fly back to NY Downside: Flying back to NY twice Which would you pick if you were a solo male? (Single line) It's the same paytable not matter .25 all the way to $5 denomination. for Jacks for Better, it's a dismal 91.1% return (8.9% casino profit). 😮 For Deuces Wild, it's at 91.4% return (8.6% casino profit)! 😮 That's really horrible for VP. I've only seen these paytables in casinos located in some 3rd world countries. You know it's bad when betting a number on Roulette is better! (94.3% return or 5.7% casino profit) Now on multi-line VP, JoB is slightly better with 6/5 paytable which is 95% return and DW is 96% return. It is still garbage compared to NCL. (At $5 denom, you can get 99% return.)

I was on the gem in Jan 2022. Back then the lobster thermidor was only +$10 extra and the lobster claws were on top. (1st pic) In Feb on the Getaway, the price increased to +$25 extra and no lobster claws. Now in currently on the Gem: +$25 extra and no lobster claws. 😞 (2nd pic) Still delicious and a good choice for excess obc.
