  1. I upgraded to unlimited. $60 trade in value for the 75min promo. So day 2-5 is (4days x $30) - $60 is $60. Paid for by my $400 casino obc. Haven't had a problem surfing but I've been connected continuously. Also, cruise critic forum is free. Don't need to use minutes. Just need to be connected to ship wifi
  2. If the cruise is 12+ days, you get 300min/person from the promo. (https://www.ncl.com/about/terms-and-conditions/promotions) Anyone know how much is the trade in value towards the unlimited package?
  3. someone posted in facebook the Bermuda ship docking schedule for the week. the royal ship leaves our assigned dock at 3pm. why can't we dock at 3;30pm instead of 5:30pm?
  4. . we basically lost a port. getting in at 5;30pm is mostly useless. hopefully they will explain why they canceled Norfolk for a 5:30pm docking at bermuda. ie: they had to cancel norfolk for unforeseen reason and instead of slow sailing towards bermuda, ncl thought making the best of the situation by arriving a little early for an overnight and hopefully the ship casino is open that night.
  5. ncl.com, not onboard the ship. can do multiple ncl.com purchases to add up to $1000
  6. Do you have the menu for all the items at the Food Hall?
  7. interesting.. I thought pier 88 and 90 were NCL piers. i guess if no ncl ships, they'll rent it out
  8. Read that Royal is changing out ALOT of slots in the casinos for the whole fleet. Anyone see 'Ultimate X Bonus Streak' put in? If so, which ship?
  9. I keep hearing stories about Medivac off a ship costing $10k+ if not in US waters. (US Coast Guard does not charge for Medivac) If you have been Medivac off a ship, how much did it cost you? and where were you? (Which country Medivac you)
  10. then why do i keep hearing that medivac outside of US waters costs $10k+? baseless rumor that keeps spreading?
  11. i know US coast guard wont charge for medivac rescue. but bahamas or bermuda wont charge me for medivac???
  12. i asked TripInsuranceStore if Geoblue covers Medivac off a cruise ship? their rep Deanna copy/pastes Geoblue's policy back to me via email. W T F? That's of no help to me at all
  13. how does the new food court work? just show up and hope the restaurant you want to eat at has a seat available? what if it doesnt? is there a hostess for each restaurant? will they put your name on a waiting list and give you a beeper?
  14. Just put chiefMateJerk on ignore. Most of his posts are negative and add nothing to the conversation
  15. ahh.. thx for the explanation for Teppanyaki in that they finally gave it a name for the style of restaurant. My bad about palamar and ocean blue. from the description, thought they were the same. didnt know completely different menus. Yeah, why rename Garden Cafe when they've been consistent throughout? At least with O'Sheenan's, there was a logical reason why it was renamed to The Local on newer ships. (O'sheenan was no longer CEO) I created a thread about that a long time ago. It was also the first time i started putting people on ignore. ☠️ (There are some sad negative people on this board that add nothing to a thread with their useless posts.)
  16. The buffet Garden Cafe was renamed Surfside Cafe. Teppanyaki was rename Hasuki. And it could be argued that OceanBlue was renamed Palomar. At a minimum, why rename the Garden Cafe?
  17. hop on/hop off bus. trolley, which is a quick version of the hop on/hop off. both can be found at the kiosk at the pier terminal. for hop on.off bus, plan ahead. you can probably find a map of their stops from their site. figure out which sites you want to get off at to explore and for how long.
  18. I just debarked today. Scanned my shipcard as I exited the ship, walked out the gangway, and headed towards the Customs and Immigration check point. I was glad to see the facial recognition cameras since it speeds up the process ALOT! (It seems like a random crap shoot whether facial recognition is used or not.) I never noticed this before but they were manned by NCL personnel?! Customs and Immigration officers were a few feet behind them standing around. My face was scanned, and I was cleared. Walked through without anyone from C&I asking for my passport. I also didn't see anyone scanned ahead of me being stopped by C&I. How can NCL at NYC pier do C&I's job?
  19. CBP officers looked at your passport? When i went through, noone stop me or anyone ahead of me after the facial recognition cameras. Any reason why? random?
  20. We're docked in st John, Canada. Royal's AoS is docked behind us. They are leaving an hr before us. they sailed past us deeper into the harbor to do a U-turn then sailed out head first. From leaving their dock to exiting the harbor took 20min. Since they were on the dock closest to open water, why didn't they just go in reverse and save 20min?
  21. you didnt mention that in your post! in the future, if the price isnt from ncl.com, then let us know that so i dont waste my time checking ncl's site, cropping the image and posting it here.
  22. Q restaurant: Music was too loud but not as loud as last week's 3 (4?) person band with male singer and male guitar player/singer. The lead singer looked awkward just standing there for 1 song where the guitar/singer sang the whole thing. i had the variety platter last week (doing b2b). It was good but TOO much food. This week I did 1/2 boneless short ribs and 1/2 brisket. the short ribs were Delicious! the best from all the foods in this restaurant. it's 2' x 2" in size and were 3 of them. If there's a next time, will get full order of this. 6 pieces would be enough food for me.
