  1. Interesting.. bartender says only ~1400 booked. When we left, only 25% of cabins still available for booking. Did X limit capacity or was bartender wrong. Will investigate!
  2. Captain advised during pre-cruise briefing announcement that we have 1200 crew ... a handful below full complement. Some are definitely inexperienced on S class, but showing lots of hustle. We're only about 75% booked, which helps.
  3. Michael's looks really good. Sure what was meant was CClass cabin.
  4. And unless upper suite where they seem to have your mug shots behind the bar, the lounge may well ask to see your card the first time or two.
  5. First, usual X mistake. It's been two per person for some months now. Second, if you have classic or prem bev package, no corkage charge. If you don't, they'll charge $25 if you take it to a restaurant or other public venue.
  6. Another data point... Our bids always show "Pending" from the beginning. Always seems to simply indicate that a) the bid has not been rejected, and b) no decision has been made. That said, we're always bidding on cabins that aren't available unless the current holder cancels. Even a year+ out, by the time we get around to booking, a RS is the best available cabin, and suits our needs anyway. Bidding on anything higher on the cruises we choose would require an extraordinary event in order to be successful. We call these 'backfill' bids. That said, should the current owner no-show for whatever reason, we have a cabin that when abandoned could open the way for several ripple-up upgrades to occur with X gaining the additional revenue on each, which I would think would put us in a decent position.
  7. Somebody needs to tell them that Horizon hit the scrap yard in Aliaga last month.. or was it the month before. Ain't nuthin wonderfull (or wonderful) on the Horizon no more. 🤪
  8. It's probably what I'd call a 'backfill' bid, designed to assure that if the current 'owners' have to cancel for any reason, X will be able to fill it and garner the additional revenue. We had the same opportunity to bid from our RS on Reflection but the PS was booked well over a year ago.
  9. Wasn't the case for our B2B, and if not moving cabins, really makes no sense.
  10. ^^^ This. Was/am on Sprint. Switched, finally, SIM to T-Moblile which they kept harping about - using an old plan carried forward from Nextel to Sprint to T-Mobile.
  11. OMG! Seafood paella to die for. Bivio down on the waterfront, Barcelona!
  12. Hope we make the cruise. It seems we are in the process of buying a shoe store in Barcelona 🤪
  13. Depending upon X's IT for shoreside comms is scary enough as many of us already know. I'm not yet ready for them to ruin the experience aboard.
  14. Just be SURE you take the requested transit passes (or Celebrity Express passes for the cruise itself) with you or you'll have a major hassle at pier security. The transit passes let you zip directly through. The Express Passes will confuse things at check-in.
  15. For any time a 'landing page' gets in the way. Nav devices, dedicated Kindles, etc. wirh no browser, when traveling.
  16. Dang. Knew there was a reason I was sticking with my Samsung Galaxy! Works well as a WiFi 'bridge'.
  17. Took a minute to find it ... Catalonian spelling Ciutat Comtal!
  18. We're here in Barcelona, pondering tapas options and watching the world go by on the Rambla.
  19. Old trick, where possible... When sitting in the dining room, try to orient as much as possible such that the motion is front/back like a rocking chair, not side to side..
  20. Why not set up your iPhone as a WiFi hotspot ("tethering") and connect your watch through that?
  21. Under normal circumstances, yes, but PLEASE advise your butler of your intention the day before, and make your menu choices early in the day if you can.
  22. No. Special handling. Proctored tests required. https://www.celebritycruises.com/healthy-at-sea/transatlantic-travel-requirements
