I don’t believe I will ever sail with Carnival ever again due to the selfish, immature and unruly hooligans I’ve encountered that take away some of the enjoyment from the entire experience while cruising. That is my only issue with Carnival.
You may be jumping to premature conclusion. I have never witnessed any unruly behavior on my Alaska, New England and Panama Canal cruises but I saw enough of that on Caribbean cruises. It has a lot to do with ship itineraries and month of the cruise, not necessary the cruise line.

The blue zone seems like a nice area since the streets and houses around there are well kept and in good shape.

I understand they are trying to make money for their families, and I respect that. But when you start using profanity and touching my family, that is crossing the line.
Precisely. I had the displeasure of dealing with one vendor who did not like the price I countered and said something to me in his native language. Judging from his demeaner and body language, it was something rude or insulting.

I saw some good price for one cruise next may sailing from spain but the cruise deal was from msc cruises usa web page...as a non usa citizen should i go with usa cruise online agent or with msc cruises usa? just looking cruise only with easy drink pack.
I wouldn't risk it. MSC website specifically says rates advertised in US are for US residents only.

We encountered the portable speakers thing for the first time on an RCI Caribbean cruise last fall. Is blasting tunes in a public place some kind of thing now? I don't get it.
Nothing new. It's been like this dating back to the ghetto blaster days except back then, the boom box was too big and heavy to drag around the ship.

Those Alaska cruise deals seem great until you see airfare and hotel costs for Seattle 😉
Yeah airfares are the deal breaker these days.

Breakfast juice and coffee at Lido is so water down they taste almost like plain water. Get a drink package or coffee card if your budget allows it.

Love it or hate it, MSC still offers the cheapest cruise deals among mass market cruise lines nine out of ten times.

Song lists are selected by activity staff on the ship. They are not identical and vary on each ship.

I always bring a book with me to read or watch a movie on tv during evening downtime when nothing interests me on the ship. HA has a good selection of older movies on tv.

Beware of public washrooms in Malaysia. Unless you go to a 4 star international hotel, most public toilets are a hole in the ground with no toilet papers provided. Some would require you to pay a fee to use.

If the deposit is refundable and price is right, there is no reason to hesitate. Pull the trigger and decide later

Fearmongering speculations would not negatively hurt CCL stock price. Wall Street investors and CCL shareholders are much smarter than this.

It kinda confirms one of my concerns - having vegetables available.
Each meal looks heavy on carbs with not much veg. In seven days, I would start craving more green vegetables. I.e. more than two slices of carrots and one piece of broccoli. No mention or ordering sides of vegetables. The few salad offering are not very nutritious.
Plenty of veggies, salad and fresh fruits at lido buffet throughout the day.

Karaoke hosts/DJs on cruise ships rarely sing. They are part of the cruise activity team that runs all kinds of guest activities throughout the cruise. Operating karaoke jukebox machine is only a small part of their job description.

Don't understand how the crew won't ask to have music turned off.
Minimum wage line crew are not empowered, trained or tasked to confront customers. I suspect they may even be told not to get into any argument with passengers under any circumstances.

I welcome MSC to aggressively pursue its expansion plan in N America. More competition can only mean more deals for cruisers.

About security, Mazatlan & PV were flooded with police and heavily armed soldiers but nothing like that in Cabo. All I saw was a lone security guard armed with an SMG in front of a high end jewelry store.

Can I get OBC if I don't order the appetizer and the dessert?
Yes. OBC will be in the form of appetizer and dessert. Nonrefundable and expired at MDR closing time.

An appetizer, then one lobster tail, followed by another entrée + dessert. Works for me

It used to be if you book your cruise 12 months in advance, you also get $50 OBC pp. Come to think of it, I never got mine for the 2024 cruise I booked.
Just had $50 onboard credit show up
