Interesting. Have you tried using a VPN with a U.S IP address and/or a U.S. dollar credit card?
MSC specifies that US prices are for US residents only regardless of your IP address location.

I first sailed Carnival from San Pedro in 1989 to the Mexican Riviera. Prior to that Princess sailed the " Love Boat " on the same itinerary from SP. The cruise lines have served the California market for decades. It's been so long in fact they offered skeet shooting from the fantail then so I think you missed the mark with "up and coming."
Now that's what I call Fun Ship. Remington 1100. Not the silly laser tag toy at ship arcade.

MSC USA needs new cruise itineraries. I am not interested going to the same MSC Caribbean ports over and over again regardless the deals.

Yes, it's all the cruise lines (airlines too). My two bookings with MSC also went up since I booked. No one is holding back on price increase.

On Majestic Princess, the DJ would post a QR code at the door for guests to scan and the song list would pop up on their Iphones. May be this feature is for newer ships only.

There are no books or lists to go through.

Fact is every cruise line is raising prices since Covid re opening. Carnival is now following this industry trend.

Time to book more cruises and lock in the price before it goes up.

Panorama offers the best deal on Mexican Riveria cruise. None of the other cruise line prices come even close.

ETA: these will be our 2nd and 3rd visits to Puerto Vallarta. First time we took public bus to the north end of the Malecon and walked to the bridge, possibly missing the Zona Romantica? where we bought margaritas and sat on the beach (loungers) under an umbrella -- all for the cost of the drinks! We may do it again at least one of the stops, and possibly take the bus the other way on the other.
PV public bus is very easy to use and costs only US$1 each way for two passengers. Be sure to avoid the rush hour crowd as the bus would be packed like a sardine can. One thing I find amusing is that sometimes there would be street entertainers on board to perform for tips. Some are good, others not so good but none is pushy if you don't want to tip after a performance.

We were told that each ship has its own list. So a song available on one ship, might not be on another ship.
I believe you are correct. I sailed on 4 different cruise lines including Princess since March. They all had over 100 songs in the karaoke song books. But the song selections vary and likely at the discretion of the person in charge. On this particular cruise, the karaoke DJ was from Mexico and 1/4 of the featured songs were either in Spanish or Mexican hits. The list even included a Santana instrumental hit Samba Pa Ti which is a all guitar solo song with no singing. Go figure.
Since October, I notice karaoke DJs have all stopped wiping down the mic after each use. This to me is a poor decision given all the singers are holding the mic 2 inches from their lips and spraying droplets all over the mic while singing into it, then pass the device to the next person to repeat the same process. That's when I stopped going to karaoke nights. Just not worth the risk of catching Covid or flu bugs from an unsanitized shared mic.

An online big box TA sometimes has refundable group rate on some sailings but not all.

Does anyone know what kind of upgrade will be done to the ship during dry dock? This may be a blessing in disguise.

I cannot work out how to access the 5% discount off the online price, even when logged into my account. Is there a trick to that too??
Call MSC and have them manually added the discount to your cruise.

Looks like the same sale as Black Friday / Cyber Monday on the website now, just renamed Holiday Sale.
Not as good. MSC took out the OBC previously offered.

What gags me more than the smoking, it the smell of the ashtrays. The ashtray smell is the worst
Bong water definitely. Still remember that pungent smell from my college days.

Dang it, no offer for me. I would love to jump on this for $100 OBC.

They were offering a move to inside cabin and a refund of cruise fare. Still have to pay taxes and fees, port charges and gratuities.
If you don't mind an inside cabin ist's a great deal.
Free cruise. A no-brainer.

Port excusion and shopping seminars may be boring but they do give out some decent free excusion prizes if you stay till the end.

There's a Walmart right across the street from the cruise terminal. I haven't gone inside there but most Walmart's I know of have pharmacies.

I second Walmart. Good price too.

The playlist production singers are very good on Panorama. They sing well and put on a good show.

Another fine example of you snooze you lose. If you see a good deal, grab it before it is gone.
