  1. Good morning everyone from the Gold Coast 😉 21C and a slightly hazy start. Enjoy your day whatever the weather is doing.
  2. 15:12 Carnival shares at 660.00 down 9% on the day - eek!
  3. My first car was a bright yellow and rust coloured Ford Escort which brings back many good memories but if I think about it a bit harder it was also a PITA most of the time. The door locks were useless but the car had the ultimate security system in that the gear lever would just lift out when you parked up so you could hide it in the boot and replace it before driving off. Never stolen!
  4. What's the latest on Arcadia? Did she go to Southampton yesterday?
  5. I don't think you need to worry. Sure, some things ain't what they used to be and yet P&O are probably carrying around more people than ever before so it can't be too bad. If, at the end of your cruise you didn't enjoy it then be prepared to put it down to experience and take away the positives. Like anything in life if you go in with a positive mental attitude then the chances are that you'll come away wanting to book again - I hope so. Promise me one thing, that when you get back you let us know how you got on!
  6. Yes, it does sound familiar about the work being done in Belfast. Something must have changed.
  7. Whoah! Wires are getting crossed here! Aurora is having her dry dock visit so her previously advertised cruise was cancelled. I suspect Hamburg is where she is having her 'MOT'.
  8. Yep got our email for the 2nd July today too.
  9. We're attempting the train next month from Lancashire as we cruise for the first time since we've moved up here. Some specific issues prevent us from using the coach although, as you say, it offers the best bang for the buck. Hoping for a hassle-free journey.
  10. Good advice about clicking on potentially harmful links although to contradict myself here's the story breaking on Cruise Hive https://www.cruisehive.com/cruise-ship-deploys-lifeboats-after-cage-full-of-luggage-falls-overboard/73334 which confirms what we already know. I must admit I've wondered how many times luggage ends up in the drink!
  11. Whilst you're right in that Googling will tell you all you need to know, you're missing the point that everyone is talking about a website that @kalos introduced and @molecrochip later expanded on which is a distillation of the port guides even though it is very much a work in progress at the moment. Different people will like different ways of finding out about their ports of call and one of those ways is via a slick app/website where it's put on a plate for you, some people will use this Google you speak of 😉. Embrace the variety!
  12. It's a pleasant time of the year to cruise the Canaries. Madeira is usually a degree or two cooler, the wind a notch faster but it's a great choice for that time of the year.
  13. You can't leave us hanging with half a story @molecrochip!!🤫
  14. Great pictures and great updates @SarahHben. We're following in your footsteps at the start of July so this has really whet our appetites 😊
  15. Yes, Gothenburg and Kiel cancelled due to high winds and an extra day in Stockholm scheduled. Source: Niece currently on board
  16. A couple of years ago we stayed in D716 for a 35 nights which is next door but one to a launderette, never heard a noise all the time we were on board.
