You're the newest CCL cruise director....
lasvegascruising replied to havanadaydreaming's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Agree, more fun stuff on the Lido deck on sea days. Bring back some of the classics. Nothing better than laughing like crazy on the Lido deck in the middle of the ocean! -
We were there last December and found our way to Lety's. My husband just loved the place and the food. So did I. There are plenty of places to stop for food and drink but I had heard good things about Lety's here on cruise critic so that is where we stopped. This December we are going back and would like to try a different restaurant. Any suggestions?

What did you think of Caroline Picard's comedy? I think she is so, so funny! -

Thanks for the info. Not sure what made me think the aft pool/hot tubs were adult only. -

I have a trip booked in September on this ship. Besides Serenity area, is the aft pool/hot tubs adult only? -
I need help, advice, suggestions...
lasvegascruising replied to lasvegascruising's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Hi Crooooze, I did just that today, no luck. That is why I thought about cruise critic and asking my question to all of you. Hi Staceyglow, you are probably right. We have been on 13 different ships, and all have been in balcony cabins and we just love it. Last couple of cruises on the Lido deck and love it even more. I'm still hoping I can snag the cabin we both really want. Hi ninjacat123, that is my plan for tomorrow. I need to reach out to a PVP and see what they have to say. Hi icft, the website will not offer to me a cabin that can hold 3 or 4 guests when I only want to pay for 2. If I were bleeding cash, I could book a room for three but only have the two of us show up. Not something I really want to do. Keep the ideas coming and big thanks to the four of you that offered help. I really do appreciate the responses. -
Carnival Gift cards at Grocery Stores
lasvegascruising replied to lyannea's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I've always wondered about purchasing these cards at the supermarket. How do you use them? -
I want to book a cruise, 7 days balcony, the first week of December 2023 which includes December 8(our wedding anniversary). Panorama looks like the ship for us and we want Lido deck for two. None left! I have played around and see cabins for 3 or 4 guests still open on Lido. Will Carnival, at some point, open up these cabins and let a party of two book one of the cabins that can hold 3 or 4 guests?
-
I was on the Panorama at the beginning of December and did see the silent disco. I didn't join but everyone that did sure looked like they were having a great time. It was on the Lido deck and there were guests of all ages. I also noticed that the head phones came in different colors but I do not know why.

Carnival Parking in Long Beach
lasvegascruising replied to lasvegascruising's topic in West Coast Departures
Hi scottca075. Well here goes, The Pacific Inn on Marina Drive. Your thoughts? The only reason I picked this spot is the location. We will arrive the day before the cruise and I enjoy a place that has lots of places to walk to. Also, it looks like it is a easy drive to the port. I really will appreciate your input and suggestions for another place in Seal Beach. -
Carnival Parking in Long Beach
lasvegascruising replied to lasvegascruising's topic in West Coast Departures
Thanks Buffettfan 225. This is good information. Yes, we live in Las Vegas and have decided to drive to Long Beach for our next cruise. We are trying the four day on the Radiance. We are 11 days away from platinum with Carnival so we are going to get a four day in and then a seven day at the end of this year. If I can catch a good Southwest sale on flights to Long Beach, we may just fly but I am in the planning stages that involve driving. Any suggestions for a hotel close to the port? The Hiltons and Marriotts are really costly. I have my eye on a place in Seal Beach. -
What is the daily cost to part in the parking garage at the Long Beach Port parking garage? I am trying to decide if I should park at the garage right at the Long Beach port OR try to find a hotel that offers cruise & park packages. Any suggestions?

Carnival Panorama…12/3-12/10- LIVE
lasvegascruising replied to MeganGC1983's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Me four!! See you guys on board, Monty 3, Linga & MeganGC1983. My last cruise was Dec 2019, this same week. It's our 38th wedding anniversary and we are so excited to cruise again! Hey, Monty 3, I sure hope you turn those 9 family members into cruise nuts like all of us! -
Yikes, this brings back bad memories. Nothing to do with a cruise but from past horrors, I always take a carry on with me on the plane. I pack everything I think I will need for a week cruise, clothes and shoes. This carry-on never leaves my grip until it lands in my cabin. Hubby has his own carry on too. We also have one more piece of larger luggage that we check with the airline. This large bag has stuff that I want but not stuff I can't live without. For example, snorkel stuff, those cute beach towel chair clips, extra shoes, husband's baseball caps, etc. We have resorted to taking all three pieces of luggage with us onto the ship. No porter for us. We also carry off all three pieces. I worry a lot less with this system.

Stupid question but here goes. How much is Cheers! when I purchase once on board? I have $600 on board credit ($300 for me & $300 for hubby) and want to use it towards Cheers!

TANDOOR, best food ever!! I truly wish Carnival would bring it back to a bunch of the ships. Why, oh why, did it go away?

What is your favorite Carnival Ship class?
lasvegascruising replied to CarnivalShips480's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I've been on nine different Carnival ships and my vote is the Dream class. I really like the hot tubs on deck five. Two on each side of the ship. -

So much fun reading and looking at the pictures. Your children are absolutely adorable and make me smile. The one comedian that I will remember forever is Caroline Picard. So dang funny every single show we went to. One of the funniest lines that will never leave my memory was about her mom becoming a grandma. Something along the lines of her mom's purse becoming an ATM machine once her mom was a grandma. If any of you have been at one of her shows and she did this routine, you will know what I am talking about. -

I have not been on a ship since December 2019 and was sick in 2021. Nothing to do with a ship.
