  1. ^^ This! However I have never ever had my online prepayment refunded and charged a different on board price. I just tell them I expect a zero bill. Sometimes they are a bit “ computer says no” but they always manage it.
  2. @bonsai3s fab pics and review as always x Could you kindly get a close up pic of the Gold/ Silver /P lounge opening hours ? Guessing the pool is not full of sunbathers? What is the solarium like ? I’m sure I read of a separate area/access from the Silver lounge area?? thanks LBxx
  3. Yes the Cider house that OPs wants to go to does https://www.islandfolkcider.ca/
  4. I can just imagine his face if he asked for a pint of cider in the USA and got a glass of flipping apple juice!! LOL We are going to Sydney NS so we will go to the Island Folk Cider place and try it out for Mark! Purely in the name of research of course! Looks like they have a cranberry flavoured one - yum!
  5. No, they do not go this any more. After final payment no price drops. You could upgrade to a better grade cabin instead. As of March 1, 2022
  6. They’re in the app. It’s pretty much the same menu rotation for every ship if menus not loaded yet for your sailing, in app click on head Select a different cruise scroll down Browse our ships select the same ship and next weeks sailing date Click dining
  7. Rude. If you care to read my post again, I was actually backing up your comment that there was not a bar. LB - also a Pinnacle member.
  8. I don’t recall a bar in the CL deck 12 on Anthem? They took your order, disappeared somewhere and came back with your drink.
  9. I’ve used D+ BOGO for lunch in Giovannis and Jamie’s several times on boarding day.
  10. Your drinks are included in the YC fare. Covers drinks anywhere on the ship, not only in YC and includes your mini bar too If you are in a ship with Butchers Cut, their 🥩 steaks are far superior to current Chops offerings. It is a very good menu with several options.
  11. Given the foul cold weather today… summer cruising from Southampton ain’t that great either!!!
  12. That’s what we call cider!!! What is non alcoholic cider called? I don’t think such a thing exists here!
  13. Looking for recommendations… however we will be there on a Monday when it appears many restaurants close; and it is also Thanksgiving! Will anything be open? Thanks
  14. We stayed at a hotel called Sullivan’s ( now closed) on Oxford St many years ago, on our first visit… we went out for a beer at a nearby pub but my DH was concerned with the size of the barmaid’s Adams Apple and the fact that the was a huge bowl full of durex on the bar…! So we went to find another pub; on the way he was propositioned by a lady sitting on her doorstep… presumably I could just stay outside and wait 🤷‍♀️… but at the end of the street was a bar full of men drinking pints watching the cricket 🏏 so he felt happier!! Next time we are staying in the Shangri La! But I bet we won’t have so many stories to tell!
  15. Yes I know - sorry - typo ! my 3x ggf is their brother Thomas
  16. http://seafarersmemorial.org.au/memorials/vessels/george3.php Family name is Beeson
  17. @possum52 thanks: Two of his brothers also were transported but their ship sank before arrival. There is a memorial at Triabubba which looks only an hour away from Hobart- Which would be the more interesting drive/scenery/wineries please? It looks like I could do a Triabunna - Campbell Town - Hobart loop?
  18. We are in Hobart overnight on a cruise ; I have done my family tree and found ancestors were deported to Launceston…wondered whether you could drive there and back in a day? We only have the car for one day!
  19. @John Bull how much are the fill-the-van tours at the cruise terminal now please? I recall it being about €25pp a few years ago. Thanks
