That’s strange.. there certainly was Prosecco when I was on Enchantment earlier this month; and there certainly was Prosecco when I was on Radiance last month… as I always check they are making my aperol spritz with it ( and not that duc de v stuff). Perhaps I drank it all. Oops 🙊 -
Do you think it is possible to do the train trip up/ down first ; get back into Flam before 11am then do the bus to Stegastein at noon and get back by 13:30 … then waffle 🧇 and beer time?
-
The RCI trip includes a drink and waffles 🧇 at the Vatnahalsen hotel. If we buy the train trip independently ( cheaper) via Norways Best site; can you go to the hotel and buy your own waffles 🧇?! @hallasm Also: looking at the Norways Best site it seems you pick the Up time and you stay on train and come back immediately- it won’t let you pick a different return time? So perhaps the waffle question is redundant?! Thanks

If you won’t take a flight to Barcelona which is about 1h 45m, then you can drive to Amsterdam? If you only want ex Southampton then you seriously are limiting your RCI options! Brand new MSC Euribia arriving this October! -

Yes, so we will have an 18 yr old ship that isn’t even allowed to go to Norway!!! So even less choice of itineraries… -

@DisneyQueen999 have you checked some of the Explorer and Voyager med itineraries next year… some nice itineraries! My friends are on Jewel in Flam, Norway today and it’s 80f! And it seems the UK had been put on the naughty step as it looks like a 18 year old ship will be sent to Southampton in 2025 to delight and entertain us 🤦♀️so be grateful for what Anthem offers us in 2024!! -

Cruise History Itineraries

I did this recently when I was trying to figure out how much I’d spent getting to 🍍 !! I did know the ship and date; so searched in emails for ship code and year - like EX 2009, and I would eventually find a confirmation of the booking or the cruise docs. It would also give your booking ref #. Emails come from DONOTREPLY@royal .. so those capitals are easy to spot in a long list of emails. Another way for you to see ports could be looking back through the roll calls for that cruise? -

You’ve got me looking at the deck plans now.. What is Sichuan Red - where Sorrentos usually is? What is Star Moment - where Boleros usually is? I see Golden Room / VIP casino where DL is, extending into music Hall? Sorrentos is by WJ. There is a Teppanyaki and a Noodle bar in WJ Aft cabins where the CL usually is on d12 Unique Silver lounge and dining near Solarium Unique Gold lounge and dining on d16 - what is The Balcony in that area? I’m now really intrigued to see how different things are on her! -
Italy & Adriatic Cruise October 2024
little britain replied to zoepipes's topic in Royal Caribbean International
They are both excellent itineraries .. we are actually booked on the Athens Ravenna one purely because it visits a new port for us, Zakynthos, and Croatia and Montenegro are fabulous. I’ll never get tired of visiting there. I also love Mykonos and Chania. Less frantically busy than some ports and easily accessible. Your initial post said you wanted to hit Croatia so I think this is the only cruise that does that. The other Voyager itinerary is good because of Ajaccio and Portofino but Florence in a day is not enough to do justice to that city. Barcelona port is right in town so very easy. Civitavecchia to the airport is about an hour, and into the city is about 90 mins so you will need to factor that into your travel schedule. Ravenna is about 45 mins from Bologna, again smaller and more manageable - from Bologna you can catch a train to Venice I don’t think that really answers your question!!! -
Can I move to a higher C&A status during a cruise?
little britain replied to DT1304's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Imagine the logistical and IT chaos if people changed tier mid cruise… they would suddenly be entitled to 4/5/6 drinks, they would suddenly be entitled to 1or 2 days days or free Wi-Fi, they would suddenly be entitled to bottles of wine, they would suddenly be entitled to be able to access the DL… *varies by tier -
Cabin service: Changed to once a day on RCI ?
little britain replied to mlbcruiser's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I’ve had stewards use their card to open the door for us; so I don’t believe the management could tell the difference between opening the door for a guest, and opening the door to straighten the bed and put in clean towels, which is all my “friend” would want doing. Others have said they can open the door in the evening to put ice in the cabin. What’s the difference ? -

Has anyone offered their steward a cash incentive to still service the room twice a day? Wondered what the going rate was? #askingforafriend -
Italy & Adriatic Cruise October 2024

9/2/24 Voyager Barcelona to Rome then travel overland to Venice? Remember cruises aren’t into Venice; Ravenna is 2hrs drive south so you arrive by land even if you end in Ravenna. Getting off the train at Santa Lucia and walking out of the station to see the canal and boats is pretty magical… Or 9/16/24 Athens to Venice/Ravenna then overland to Rome? -

Nooooooooooo ! I don’t like cruising from Southampton at the best of times … too many whining Brits… but the return of Indie means I’ll be definitely be picking MSC from that port in future if itinerary suits.
