  1. Hmmm.... after all these years of living with his peanuts in his Pepsi, I'm now starting to suspect you are right🤨
  2. We are planning to walk from our hotel too. We will be staying at Ink 48 located at 653 11th Ave. What would be the safest place to cross over to NCL's Manhattan terminal?
  3. Good point🤔 I've had some interesting talks with those rookies. Good thing I have time to call back again (& again & again) until I find an agent who is a little more knowledgeable.
  4. My DH grew up pouring a 'nickel' bag of peanuts in his Pepsi. Our kids never could understand that one🙄
  5. I am a 'cold caffeine' addict too! Servers just don't understand why I don't want coffee at breakfast. I recall in my teenage years loving a Pepsi and a bag of Fritos for 'breakfast'😉
  6. Thanks for taking us along again Bird☺️ We will be back on Encore in January so will enjoy everything you will have to share with us. Absolutely love this ship! We sailed on her just before everything shutdown. Can't wait to see your photos in anticipation of our next cruise on her.
  7. Did you find a good place to wait? We were thinking of having the latest breakfast possible so we can be out of our room but have somewhere to wait.
  8. And I agree with you on so many of your posts......except this one😉 I had to suffer through years of Diet Pepsi. Had to add a lot of lemons & limes, but I suffered through. Loving the Coke Zero now!
  9. For disembarkation, does Joy disembark from deck 6 or 7 in Miami? Does anyone know how late breakfast is available? Is a light breakfast available that day in Observation Lounge? We do not have to rush off the ship, but of course will be out of our cabin. Thinking of eating breakfast at later time to stay out of everyone's way 😉
  10. Just be aware that I've read on this and other forums that some are told they can only have one or two CAS comped cruises booked. I think that I get more leeway with multiple bookings as I have a long history of steady play with CAS. Also, they have told me they are limited to comping cruises within the next 18 months. It never hurts to call and ask. It can be a good sign if they ask to put you on hold while they check with a supervisor. If the answer isn't what you think it could or should be, be polite and tell them you will wait to book....then call back another day & ask another agent😉
  11. Same for us. We usually have four cruises booked with CAS, but currently have a fifth one through a land casino.
  12. We love Pincho Tapas! Just wish they would add it to more ships🤞
  13. Sorry they couldn't get you in the same room for each leg! It is amazing to me that for our one-time Diamond upgrade they can't let us have a decision on cabin choices😒. I hope you have an awesome B2B!
  14. Yikes! We must make it to the right ship and HAVEN for this cruise😉 (it's a rare Haven cruise for us, then back to those Club Balconies)
  15. There is a rental car facility located at Port Canaveral for some companies. We are supposed to return our scheduled Enterprise rental there.
  16. Has anyone stayed at the Cocoa Beach Best Western? It looks walkable to the pier and just a few miles from the port.
  17. What time did disembarkation start? We have an 8am shuttle booked with a private company and they suggested we carry off our own luggage to make that time.
  18. We have also learned to call back sometimes to get a more knowledgeable agent! It does sound like the good agent you talked with was much open to reviewing your preferences for your upgrade. When we got our first & second Diamond upgrades starting fourteen months ago, we weren't able to get a MA (from balcony) cabin. At that time we were told they could only upgrade us to the lowest available category. I sincerely hope they are now allowing a top category upgrade! We had researched vacant cabins and were satisfied with the possible locations of the MC cabin we were upgraded to. Our last upgrade was processed a few months ago on the Prima. (We had to book the 2nd within one year of becoming diamond and the deadline was closing in on us.) We went from a B4 to a MB as Prima does not have anything lower than 'B'. We were very happy with getting an upgrade for another 11 day cruise on Prima! Please report back when your upgrade processes. I hope you get a great cabin🤞
  19. Love it! We use our Costco Citi card. We get 3% back on travel and everything we charge on ship (or in casino) shows as a travel purchase. (We get a nice 'rebate' check once a year that can be used at store but excess is paid in cash.)
  20. Although you are both using one main credit card for your room charges, you can always go to Guest Services during the cruise and make a payment with your other credit card. So if you had used $500 in the casino (plus 3% fee), you could go Guest Services and pay that amount with your personal credit card. If you have sufficient play in the casino, you can ask the players card desk if they can 'comp' off the 3% fees. (If you have earned at least 2500 points, they will have something to comp for you.) Also, if you have had a good run in the casino, you can make a cash payment to your account at Guest Services. You need to make the cash payment the night before disembarkation as they close out the accounts in the early morning hours. (Yes, one very late last night of cruise they didn't want to take our cash money!)
  21. On Encore, we loved Onda and Los Lobos. They aren't on every ship, so they are a must visit on Encore for us!
  22. It's understandable that you are not comfortable staying there with the news this week. I do think that the worst of spring break crowds will be over with in a couple of weeks but you need to do what you are comfortable with. It's similar to when we stay on the Las Vegas strip or in New Orleans. We are always careful about where we are walking and generally are back at our hotel long before late night 'partiers' are out. (We have been retired for several years.) We will be staying on Ocean Drive 1400 block in late April. As always, we will be vigilant and not walk around late at night, but we will love our days & evenings there after our cruise. Great food and a beautiful beach. I hope you have a wonderful cruise and enjoy your stay in Coconut Grove! 😎
  23. Great! I love when we can help each other on this forum😊
