  1. If she has a Samsung phone with the app on it she could try Smart Switch from that.
  2. I have a new S22 Ultra phone and the app works perfectly. I just checked and the menus show on both my Samsung tablet and phone.
  3. Did your wife try using Samsung Smart Switch app when setting up her new tablet? That may alleviate the need to download the app from the Play Store. The app works fine on my Samsung S7 Tablet.
  4. I checked just now on my app for a 2024 cruise. I clicked dining, main dining, Blu and then clicked menu at the top of the page and it displayed. FWIW this was on an android Samsung S22 Ultra.
  5. We disembarked Equinox on 12/26 before the newest room service charge rolled out and before the new charge for a second lobster tail. We are long time X cruisers and fans of the line. We noticed quite a few changes that had occurred even before the rollout of the most recent ones since our last cruise. There were far fewer choices for lunch in the OVC and the daily choice of sliced meats offered were cheaper proteins. There were not a single oatmeal raisin cookie to be found the entire cruise. They did not put out late afternoon tea offerings that we'd enjoyed on previous cruises like tea sandwiches, scones, clotted cream, etc. The choices in the MDR were most nights heavy on chicken and port choices. There were fewer amenities in the bathroom of our cabin like shower cap, cotton swabs and cotton balls. No one knew how to make a Frozen Toasted Almond, my favorite drink treat unless I told them how to make it. I had never on all of our previous X cruises had anyone at any bar, theater or pool not know, even on our cruise on Equinox the previous year. It is available on the Classic package, so certainly not exotic! We'd gotten used to the welcome champagne not being there due to covid, but it's not back even though the Covid protocols have been dropped. All that being said, we just yesterday booked another X cruise for 2024.
  6. We got off of Equinox on 12/26 at about 8 AM. My DH needed wheelchair assistance off the ship due to a recent back issue. I called for a Lyft XL once we were through customs. It arrived in under 5 minutes to take us to our hotel in Ft. Lauderdale. We had a TON of luggage due to a week in Orlando pre-cruise and a week after the cruise of various visits along the way home. The driver loaded all of our luggage, took us to our hotel and loaded the luggage into our car. The total with a VERY generous custom tip was $30.
  7. Abba dance parties, silent disco a few times, a full moon pool party, 70s music but nothing you need to pack special clothing to attend.
  8. We were on Equinox 12/12 sailing and ate there 5x. Every one was wonderful. Sorry for your experience. I like my steaks medium rare and each meal was perfectly cooked.
  9. I'll wait until I'm off X WIFI to watch. It would take too long on a ship without Starlink.
  10. It's one night's worth of points according to the category booked. Example veranda=3points per night so verandah gets an extra 3 points. 7 night cruise yields 24 instead of 21.
  11. We got an email about a month or so before our current sailing but it was also available on the website. I don't recall seeing it on the app, but not sure. We opted in and really don't notice a difference.
  12. No points attached to the offer. If they want us to do marketing for them it would be good faith to offer a benefit at least in the form of PUPs.
  13. From Thanksgiving until Christmas they add decorations each night while most passengers are asleep.
  14. We've done Uber and Lyft. It's really easy and straight forward.
  15. Try exiting the mock booking. At that point the option to make a courtesy hold will pop up.
  16. They were doing US site maintenance last night. I just checked and nothing yet. Most likely they will appear later today 5 minutes after I check.😜
  17. Definitely a goal to be striven for. Make sure you're early to rise and late to bed to allow for maximum opportunity. Cheers!
  18. Once you upgraded your WIFI why would you need "free" minutes? Wouldn't you have already paid for unlimited "free" minutes...ergo not free? I think that my be a result of the famous X IT at work lol.

We find that many TA's, especially the larger ones often have group rates and also often offer additional OBC (with is most often the refundable variety) and or perks that make it significantly less expensive that booking with X directly. In fact the last cruise we booked directly with X was in 2006!
  20. The WIFI perk for Elite is 90 free minutes OR a discount. You can however purchase WIFI on the ship after you use your free minutes and it will be pro-rated for the number of days left. If you opt to use your free minutes, don't forget to log out each time otherwise your free minutes will continue to run even if you're not using the WIFI. If you purchase the WIFI before the cruise there is a pre-cruise discount (and sometimes a sale) and you can call and have them apply your Elite discount.
  21. DH got his renewed passport and passport card in 7 weeks 2 days mailed September 8, 2022.
