  1. Fear not. Another LLP photo album. Full of herself as usual. I enjoyed the ones that were without her and only destination based.
  2. I guess that the following list of suggested OTC meds by a recent Roll Call not longer seems like overkill! OTC Meds Aspirin Anti-diarrheal Tylenol Motril/Advil Excedrin Allergy (clariton) Allergy Nasal Spray Mucinex Cough Medicine Probiotic Anti-diarrheal Antacid GasX DairyEase Airborne Benadryl Benadryl Cream Neosporin Hydrocortisone Cream Vitamins Bandaids Antibacterial eye drops Allergy eye drops Vicks VapoRub Tums anti-itch cream Nose Strips meds for constipation Motion sicknes medication
  3. I am so very sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed his posts and his mix of positivity, humor and helpful information. Prayers to you and your family at this time.
  4. Did you log in online and check to see if they were there? Did you book direct or through a TA? If booked through a TA you should have gotten an email with them folders?
  5. Did you check the website and the app? If they're not there yet, maybe wait until 30 days out and then call either X or if you booked through a TA call them.
  6. There should have been info in your cabin on embarkation day about Captains club events etc. As for as the bags (you get 1 bag each) of laundry, just ask your cabin steward. He/she will give you a fabric bag to use and you fill in the form and write Elite on it.
  7. I was, for most of my adult life, a hardback book snob love to read. However over about the last 15 years I have converted to loving to read on my Kindle, especially when on vacation. I can load multiple books without the weight. When I am on board ships in recent times I've noted that I'm not alone in this and see many fellow passengers reading on their Kindles, iPads and tablets. I suspect that since many of us no longer take books with us to read while on vacation and then leave them aboard is another reason for the demise of cruise libraries, along with the cruise companies wanting to maximize their revenue producing spaces.
  8. Since the resumption of cruising the Elite breakfast (Coffee House) hasn't been buffet, but plated offerings that were served and on S-class and M-class ships has been held in the Tuscan Grill.
  9. We loved Eclipse and Captain Leo is one of our favorites! He's everywhere, super friendly and hysterical when doing Liars club! Eclipse was out of service for quite a while during the pandemic but is a wonderful ship.
  10. Not when you use an Incognito window! It's MUCH less buggy!!!
  11. You will be able to have plenty of choice. We have taken many a cruise without issue of ordering above the classic package and were always well lubricated. There are white, red and rose and sparkling options available on the classic package as well as many cocktails frozen or not and also specialty coffee drinks. Don't stress about meeting with anyone to determine what you can and can't order. When the bartender or sommelier come to take your order, order what you'd like and hand them your seapass card. The card has your package indicated on it. (It will say CALL for Classic). They will bring you a beverage within your package or advise you that what you are ordering is an addition charge. Enjoy and don't spend time worrying...you'll be fine. Happy sails and calm seas,
  12. So....this thread made me curious and I called for the cruise only rate to inquire about the cruise only cost for an upcoming cruise. We had a concierge cabin booked through our TA (only booked it because our TA had a group rate for it that was less than the cost for a verandah). Our TA group rate included all the perks as well as 10% back in the form of refundable OBC, and additional $100 OBC because we booked it during one of their sales, and a loyalty credit also OBC-R. First call to X the agent told me Concierge and above didn't qualify for cruise only fare. The email clearly says only Aqua and Suite classes don't qualify. Second call got an agent who knew the rules and quoted me a price that was $55 pp less than our TA group rate that included what was listed above.
  13. It has become habit for us to only access the X website with an Incognito or InPrivate window ever since X revamped its website several years back. The gremlins are far fewer doing it that way. Also, always remember to log out before exiting their site.
  14. If you decide to use your 90 free minutes each, don't forget to log out when you're through using it or your time will continue to run.
  15. I believe the Roll Call list takes care of all of those. Towel Clips are number 3 on the Incidentals list and the others you mentioned are covered under dental floss and bandaids. The Roll Call list is quite comprehensive!
  16. I'll clearly have to work on that!
  17. Curiosity got the best of me and I called about this yesterday. We always use a TA because of their great group rates and extra perks, but decided to check the pricing from this email. The email clearly states that the Cruise Only pricing doesn't apply to Suite and Aqua class. I asked about the pricing for Concierge. (We booked that only because the pricing from my TA was cheaper than booking a veranda). I was told by a rep who clearly didn't read their own marketing materials that it was only applicable to Verandah and below and that they consider Concierge to be the beginning of "suite class," which is totally ridiculous. Oh well, their company their rules!
  18. Here's other incidental lists from a Roll Packing list. 19. I think autocorrect was at work here with your question, but I believe it's a dosage of vitamin C (and some other vitamins) that work as an immune booster similar to Airborne.
  20. This is a list compiled by a Roll Call group as a packing list guide. Aspirin Anti-diarrheal Tylenol Motril/Advil Excedrin Allergy (clariton) Allergy Nasal Spray Mucinex Cough Medicine Probiotic Anti-diarrheal Antacid GasX Dairy Ease Airborne Benadryl Benadryl Cream Neosporin Hydrocortisone Cream Vitamins Bandaids Antibacterial eye drops Allergy eye drops Vicks VapoRub Tums anti-itch cream Nose Strips meds for constipation Motion sickness medication
  21. Also the same on Equinox.
  22. Silly me! I always find that the numbers on the cabins have served us in locating our temporary home onboard lol.
  23. Thanks for your response. I'm still not clear. If we purchase a dining package (pre-cruise) do we pay the 18% at the time of purchase in addition to the package price, or do we pay the 18% at the time we dine once onboard? I did notice that the beverage package pricing increased as well as the cost to upgrade from Classic to Premium also increase. None of this is surprising considering the fact that cruise lines have been bleeding cash for the last 2 years, but I'm just trying to get a grasp on the "new normal." Thanks.
  24. The language on the X site recently changed about the gratuities on Dining Packages. Previously (as recent as December 2021) the gratuity was included in the purchase price of the package. We also tip additionally when we're there. The current wording indicates that the gratuity is no longer included in the purchase price of the package. When did this change? Does the current structure charge the 18% in addition to the dining package cost or are you now expected to leave your tip at the restaurant when you dine (not just an additional tip)? Hope that's clear. TIA
  25. Murano hands down on any S-class ship. No contest for us. We think Tuscan is neither true Italian nor a true steakhouse. The service and view at Tuscan are the only selling points to us and once it's dark the view is pretty much a non factor as well. Otherwise it's more like a mid-scale chain restaurant and not worth the upcharge. YOMV.
