  1. Good biscuits ontoast, talk about a smooth embarkation!! Arrived at 10:15, checked in by 10:30, onboard by 11:00. And then..
  2. It's boarding day! Before we start the pre- cruise shenanigans, let's finish yesterday's recap: I forgot one of my wildlife pictures at the park fountain: for dinner we went to another restaurant at The Rocks that was recommended in The Rocks guide of things to do and places to eat, etc. They've gotten so much right, it was only fitting that they'd have a miss, and when I say miss, I. Do. Mean. Miss. Their website looks attractive and reels you in. The restaurant was Sgt. Lok on George Street. First clue: at 6pm we were the only ones there, a couple of other parties arrived later. Our appetizer of scallops arrived, topped by watercress and seated on apparently a hash brown. The hashbrown and watercress were good; were fairly certain that the scallops were of, as they were dodgy. Next up was the dry roasted duck. When ordering she asked if we'd like a vegetable, either cauliflower or Brussel sprouts to accompany. We choose Brussel sprouts. When our meal came, I watched a Brussel tumble to the floor; on his way out I watched the server literally kick it out in front to the hallway where he picked it up. Mmmmm! 😜 The food: the cherries and tomatoes on the plate with the duck were ice cold; the duck was barely luke warm and dry; the Brussel sprouts were burnt, but the "sauce" on them wasn't melted. Here are pics of the best parts of the meal: After dinner we jailed a can back to the Radisson for a nightcap and early bed, because, by golly, it's time for cah-ruising!!! Buckle up friends, we're going on a cruise!
  3. I booked my April 2025 Eastern Antilles 🙂
  4. I get what you're saying about them still receiving the same salary if we "pull" tips, but if tips are pulled, then bonuses are reduced, which would hurt them in the end...
  5. After that we made our way to the beautiful St. Mary's Cathedral. I didn't get many pictures, but what I did get was a gift...a moment of peace and closeness with my Dad who we lost 2 1/2 years ago. This Cathedral was that kind of place... you could just feel it.
  6. We went on a wee walkabout this morning, as we needed to find a chemist and bottle shop for "essentials". Those who know us well will translate bottle shop essentials into fruit of the vine...along the way we went through a park where we paid tribute to @Ken the cruiser by getting pictures of an Ibis, a Rogue pigeon, and the Stealthy Sydney Steel Sea Turtle. Notice how still the turtle is? Almost like a statue! 😆
  7. Last night we went to 6Head at The Rocks for supper; it did not disappoint. To order drinks, they give you an iPad, and you scroll through, touching what you want, and "save". Caution: ordering a glass of Port, etc., they assume one for each of you 😀 Here is my version of photos or it didn't happen: Drinks, caviar, steaks and salad (they offer wagyu beef like it's growing on bushes), and dessert with port
  8. And yourself as well! ❤️
  9. Thank you! I appreciate the heads up because I hate looking like a dumb tourist 🙂
  10. We had a great view from 6Head at The Rocks, watching and gazing, waiting to join on Tuesday for a back to back. Thank you Sydney for a lovely hospitality while we're here!
  11. Especially if it takes several attempts!
  12. Works like a dream on my Samsung Z Fold5 and Hubby's Samsung Z Flip5, almost like it was made for Android. Boarding Majestic day after tomorrow in Sydney Australia, fair dinkum.
  13. My point was that other countries are getting into and/or accepting the tips, as opposed to being offended by or turning their nose up at them, as some had previously implied.
  14. Preview of coming attractions: tonight we're going to supper at 6Head The Rocks. Stay tuned for food porn! 😋
  15. It will be charged in USD if paid ahead; no idea if paid onboard, but it will be charged.
