  1. I think that is a key point. We have been on her pre and post Covid, and imho, the difference in the experience is markedly worse now.
  2. Just to add, you pay extra for the PE seats, but you then pay extra again if you want to choose which PE seats you want, when seat reservations open up.
  3. Sorry - old, cold and tired in our opinion. Mrs W won't let me book a cruise on Arcadia again.
  4. Yes, you can add PE seats when you book, but extra leg room seats are only available at the time seats become available, on a first come basis.
  5. But you don't actually get your money back, just a cabin upgrade or similar. However Saga do not seem to drop prices after launch.
  6. So far, all the ports we have visited before, so mainly we just stroll around the town. And today, in Gib, we are just staying on board. We are going on a tour with Spain Day Tours in Bilbao.
  7. That only works for certain things, such as your door display. For security checks and ordering drinks etc, your actual photo is displayed
  8. Without being contentious (me !) even if you paid me £188, I wouldn't go on a four night cruise.
  9. Have you got a nice Pearly King type jacket you could wear ?
  10. To be honest, given the time it takes for wait staff to scan your Medallion, then find the drinks on their device, input the details etc, I'll take the pen and paper approach every time. We have been ordering copious drinks over the last seven days, the majority using the pen and paper approach, and have had no problems at all.
  11. Thanks for the reorientation!
  12. Yup, Rudi's (?) fish restaurant being added.
  13. This is tonight's menu. Sorry about the orientation !
  14. You can still just turn up when you like, although at busy times you may be given a pager.
  15. I don't really do menu photos, but I will try and post a few. So far, after seven days, the menus have been uninspiring. Sausages and Mash on formal night, Bubble and Squeak last night (I mean, seriously!) and Irish Lamb Stew tonight. Just a very uninspiring menu choice overall.
  16. Just checking out tonight's menu, hoping for some high class cuisine. Does Irish Lamb Stew count as fine dining ?
  17. We haven't been to a show yet, so last night we decided to watch the Trawler Men sing a few shanties. Can't beat singing along to The Wild Rover ! All seated and then the Entertainment Manager comes on, and say that due to one of the Trawlermen being ill, the performance was cancelled, and that an Adele tribute act would perform instead. And straight away she came on. A fair number of people left after the first song, more, including us, left after the second song. We felt a bit sorry for "Adele" as she was not bad, but she was not who we wanted to see. Surely it would have been better for all concerened if the programme change was posted outside the theatre, or the announcement made sufficiently early so that those who wanted to leave, could do so ?
  18. Are you on the roll call ? Apologies if you already are.
  19. Indeed ! I never knew that B&S was a main course!
  20. Even on normal nights the choice can be odd ! For example, one of the main courses tonight is Bubble & Squeak. How is that refined dining?
  21. Available in most bars, and certainly in the MDRs. We have the plus package, and the waiters in the MDR normally ask if we want a double. Saves them extra work!
  22. Almost - just turning in after a fair number of beers and wines ! I do love the Princess package, especially as the waiters in the MDR ask if you want a "double" when you order a glass of wine. So much easier for everyone !
