  1. Thanks I'll have a look on Friday.
  2. Popular on Princess, but UK customers are excluded from the bidding process. Seems very discriminatory to me.
  3. A bit too early for the full time result !
  4. I agree that the Journey View is much easier to use, but 90% of the events shown are of the commercial type - eg raffle in the jewellery store. We are departing on Saturday (April 1st) and not a single evening entertainment event is shown. Surely this close to sailing at least the main theatre productions should be displayed ?
  5. Glad to know that your Dad is home at last. In our experience, the Spanish primary health system is excellent, but can be a trial for both the patient and the relatives if not fluent Spanish speakers. That was one of the reasons that we opted to return to the UK some years ago.
  6. Thanks both of you. One all so far !
  7. Anyone else get the impression that the OP was expecting a somewhat more supportive response than has been the case ?
  8. We received the 2024 Saga brochure yesterday. Looking through it, we found an interesting 9 night cruise to Norway, leaving from Dover in 2024. A lot of money, (relatively), but we have had two previous Saga cruises booked, so thought that we should finally take the plunge. However, I do like to dwell on these expensive decisions, so decided to sleep on it. Woke up, and for the hell of it, looked at the Britannia cruise to Norway in September next year. An aft suite, with wrap around balcony, will cost slightly less than the Saga standard cabin, plus we get obc on P&O. But, only 7 days, rather than 9, so not much to choose between them on a per diem basis. So, without going into the whys and wherefores of the Saga extras (transfer, free drinks etc) given the choice, which would you choose ?
  9. I'm sorry, but with gale force winds and heavy seas forecast, what exactly did you expect Princess to do ? Carry on regardless? Bad weather happens. You are at sea in March - always a problematic time for a TA. Your insurance will offset some of your disappointment with the level of obc . I understand your disappointment, but feel you are being somewhat irrational in what you expect Princess to do in the circumstances.
  10. Do the cabins on E deck experience much noise from the public areas immediately below them ?
  11. Thanks - far too complicated for me. I'll just play the fruit machine in my local pub.
  12. I'm just assuming that Princess only comp those who gamble, and therefore lose, a certain amount of money. Otherwise, why would Princess offer a free cruise ? So, how much money do you need to gamble to get a free cruuse
  13. I assume you will be able to claim for the two missed ports on your insurance ? I know it doesn't help the disappointment, but with our policy we would get £300 (c$360) per person for the two missed ports.
  14. How much money do you have to lose in the casino to get a free cruise ?
  15. I don't think people are testing or isolating anymore. Covid is just something we have to live with like flu.
  16. Already booked one for 2024. Weighing up the options for later in 2024. . We like specific balcony cabins, and want to fly from our local airport, so it makes sense to book early.
  17. Good news everyone ! Dish washer is up and running again, and only £45 for the call out fee !
  18. Depending on where you are cruising, there are lots of independent companies that offer excursions, normally at a lot lower price than P&O.
  19. Agreed - previously it was our favourite venue, but it was so cold the place was deserted. We didn't have a single drink there, so it shows how cold it must have been !
  20. I can only comment about our Canaries cruise last April. All the public areas were exceedingly cold, as was our cabin.
  21. Plus the 0.5% stamp duty paid on the purchase cost of the shares.
  22. Yes, but we have four cruises booked, and in the UK you cannot apply for obc more than three months in advance, so we would need to buy and sell four times, with associated trading costs and stamp duty each time. And whilst I know you never can say never, bankruptcy is highly unlikely now, compared to two years ago.
  23. We went to a q&a session on board with a Princess captain last year, and the Ever Given was mentioned. The captain was diplomatic about the cause of the incident, but mentioned that he would never leave the bridge for a second when the Egptian pilot was on board !
